Like the title says, I'm in need of a flywheel. Last fall I bought a shaved flywheel and loved the results, but it must have been shaved too much because it cracked into two pieces (crack followed the six holes around the front). I'm looking for either a stock flywheel or a lightened one that isn't too thin around these holes. Feel free to PM me if you have one I can use.

What am I dealing with? (Tore into Banshee tonight)
gotta_goatsfast replied to tuck1371's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
You must be new to the Banshee scene. 66mm is a 2mm overbore (0.078") or 80 thousanths to the metric impaired. While they do sell 66.5mm pistons, I would stop before then. Mikuni PWK 28? Either you are referencing a Mikuni flat slide 28mm carb or a Keihin PWK 28mm carb. Now, to the OP... If you are close to sea level or feel you have poor quality fuel I would run a 21cc dome. 20cc if you are at a higher elevation or can get ahold of a quality 93 octane fuel. Do a search, you can ream out your timing plate for free, or you can usually find a nice aluminum adjustable timing plate for real cheap. Your money will be better spent on other parts before purchasing carbs. I suggest picking up an aftermarket water pump right away. Then, I would look into aftermarket suspension. Works shocks can be had for cheap and will make a BIG difference. -
The o-ring is to keep the bearings from spinning... you cannot test one cylinder.

I purchased a used 4mm longrod crank for a great deal a few years ago (still running it today). I just made sure to send it out to have it checked over. Hotrods did give me specs to measure, in which it check out flawlessly. I think you're better off with a quality used crank than an el-cheapo new one. Obviously the best bet for a mild stroke is a new M&M or Wiseco/Hotrods crank.

Knows everything about a banshee yet pairs a 480cc cheetah with T5 pipes. haha

If you provided proof such as a tracking number then paypal is bullshit. Unfortunately, guys like this will keep getting away with theft until someone takes the matters into their own hands. Even then, Dannie gets an ass beating from the guy he stole from. The guy he stole from loses out on parts and goes to jail for battery. Hmmm, that's life I guess. Anyone else out there who sold stuff to Dannie, get rid of your paypal account NOW. lol, apparently proving yourself isn't enough to keep your money.

421 Serval w/R-2's vs Shearer Small Bore Dyno #'s

Note to anyone in the future, If you are going to give breakthrough information please have the breakthrough information ready to present when you make such a "claim". I vote to just let this thread sink. If anyone actually does want to dyno their R2s then do it first, then show the world. -
Fuck that! Thor, I'll send you $1300 check to NOT sell to this guy. Then, when I get another $1250 together I'll get it to you so I can have this. Don't be alarmed by the check numbers 5 and 6, I'm legit.

I've seen some sand drag type tires with paddles that have been torn up and they have welded the paddle back on. I do not know the process, reliability, cost, or availability though. -
100mph drag/trail shee? is it possible?

Sorry to hear that! I really do hope this does not dilute your attitude toward customers and service. You're a needed business that supplies quality parts over quantity of parts. I really hope to see things made right between you and Rocz. But in the event you cannot reclaim the frame or money, please don't lose faith in your other costumers. There's still some guys out there with morals and honesty!

Because the rest of this thread clearly screams useful information....

banshee straight cut gears
gotta_goatsfast replied to stockbutfast's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I just used some UHMW, a vice, and a socket to press the old helical driven gear. Not trying to be a buzz kill, but what do you have done to your banshee already? I look at your name and it says "stockbutfast" so I assume its stock or slightly modified? If so, I can think of many other ways to improve your performance for the price of straight cut gears. In fact, I probably wouldn't say straight cut gears will make a noticable difference in power... I run spur gears because it reduces stress and side loads on the crank and clutch. Or maybe you knew this. If so, ignore me! -
I thought he got banned, also. Anyway, the dude reminded me of a nigerian scammer with his terrible spelling and "WTF" posts. lol

421 Serval w/R-2's vs Shearer Small Bore Dyno #'s
gotta_goatsfast replied to SuperMex's topic in Product Reviews
My setup pulls damn hard... but I've only butt-dynoed them against CPIs. I've been watching this thread for a while with anticipation that it doesn't fall into the dark depths of the forums.... wouldn't be the first one to get me all excited only to leave me shivering in a cold shower. -
Sold! I've got an extra stock transmission up for grabs. I was tempted to have it modified into an over-ride trans but have decided against it (my riding style won't make use of it). I have found a great christmas gift for the wife online and it comes in at a cost of $85, so i'm offering what you see in the pictures for $85 shipped anywhere in the United States. Located in Albany, Wisconsin. I know the holidays are coming up so I'll make sure to get the trans out in the mail ASAP.

Yea I used to buy and sell parts here with complete confidence. My last purchase (a "lightened" flywheel) exploded 10 minutes after running it leaving me without a quad for the hair scramble of the season. Every time I deal with someone on here I get REALLY nervous now (cuz I don't have money to give away). I basically only stick to proven members who have a positive reputation now. I've dealt with JD and I feel really bad for him. He should most definatly pursue this matter and if it is found that he has been "frauded" out of a frame legal action should be the next step. This is bull shit and it needs to stop. Kind of makes me sick looking at all the people getting screwed over since the economy started falling years ago.

banshee fresh -- trade for yfz450
gotta_goatsfast replied to bansheemandan's topic in Swap and Trade
I would try a 450 before trading. You have a lot of decent parts on your quad and you might find it outperforming a 450. -
I hope you don't kiss your mother with that mouth. (cuz I kissed her, too. And I don't want to share your germs)

$85 shipped for gears and shift drum and bearings. Everything is good and smooth. Been sitting on my bench pushed around for a year now, lol. I was going to send it out for a dunable override but I'm no longer interested in it. I'll look around for shift forks and shift fork shafts. But it would be a good idea to pick up three new forks from FASTracing since you're already balls deep in the cases. If you're interested PM me. I'll send you some pictures.
