  1. Check that air cleaner is clean. Be sure spark plug is correct heat range/reach. Check carb float level, remove get you think was drilled out take to dealer and compare to stock to be sure it's not drilled. Get manual and check other jet/ needle etc in carb. Does it have any modifications? Different exhaust, air cleaner, holes in air box lid, supposed to have an air box sorkle? Clean carb good, make sure all vents and vent hoses are clean. It's not using oil? Does it seem to get bad "mileage"? I guess $100 doesn't get much from a mechanic.
  2. Have your friends ever ridden a two stroke? How much H.P. does a YFZ450 make? Do you think a craptor will be around 20 yrs from now? X-2 on Quickshee's point, go on YFZ Central and read about issues they have. A 350 warrior only makes 16-18 hp, see what it costs to make 30-32 hp(stock shee) and see how long it lasts. Don't know what max for a 350cc is, but it's still cheaper to modify than a 4poke. Why do you think they were racing 250s against 125s ,and 450s/250 in moto cross?
  3. Good reading. great idea on the COD. Might not be bad idea on any transaction with used parts. Seller would be more inclined to be more truthful about condition if something came to your door and it was a POS refuse delivery. Just my .02 .
  4. First off you need to be consistant on fuel and oil mix you use. Otherwise you're only chasing your tail. Don't bother changing gearing till you get it tuned. Read up on carb tuning here on forum. The higher strung a machine is the more it changes with the weather, you might want to take note of the weather when you're tuning. Loco's bro and Ieat4stroke both run 162 and you have 155 ,leaner. Make sure float level is correct. It's better to start FAT and have it blubber and foul plugs than burn it down.
  5. is it on the outside of flyweel? two small screws? Bout one inch square- half inch thick, blue, green wires?
  6. What mods are you planning?
  7. Wish in one hand, shit in the other. See which one gets FULL first!!!! LMAO
  8. Smokin good deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. I read add also, doctor spanked both ends and called it twins. I call BS on your story.
  10. Wish I could help. Dbl check you have contact with meter, is it on, battery good? Not being smart ars, things happen/overlooked. It's still early.
  11. Any non synthetic. After heat cycles and re-torqing head and jugs its your choice. By noon you'll have a dozen different answers. Try a search also.
  12. Unless those are gouges not scratches you should only bore enough to clean up. Fly cut pistons are probably Vitos super stock, increases exhaust timing. Poor mans port job. I don't know a lot about prices but you could get a decent crate motor for what some wazoo shee motors go for. Saw set of billit crankcases for $2500. Speed isn't much cheaper just cause it two cyl.
  13. Yoy had 270 when you got it, now you have 300 mains. What changed that you went up on mains and pilot? How did it run with 270M&25P? Is air cleaner clean?
  14. Speed is only limeted by cubic $$
  15. What color is smoke? White would indicate coolant. Check coolant level, has it gone down?
  16. Sounds like it's time to bend over & grab your ankles!
  17. Choke crossover tube? Go between both carbs,
  18. Banshee and four-poke shall not be used in the same sentence. Unless it is preceded by I beat, stomped, whooped, slayed, (or any other aggresive adjetive) There is one and only one banshee.
  19. Blue is megium, red is high (stud&brg), and I think there is (green) . Don't remember think it was used for sled clutches. Clean cage and screws REAL good. Try Google Loctite. Just did for you. Green #2-1/2 screws hand tool removal, blue 3/8 -3/4 hand tool, red 1/2-up heat required for removal. MHO I would use red. Just clean real good, no oil.
  20. You using tig welder? Would a person have to get one that is water cooled?
  21. 1st kick buddy in nuts. 2nd remove carbs. 3rd kick buddy in nuts. 4th remove float bowls, check that float needle valve is correctly installed. 5th kick buddy in nuts. 6th replace float bowls, install carbs. 7th get Clymers manual. Seriously tho, check that floats are moving with bowls off, and the manual is the best tool you can get $20-$30.
  22. Define cheep 420. I don't understand.
  23. Can't spoil a rotten egg. I say try the weld. I may be wrong but I think sleeves are cast iron, fyi. Hand grind excess weld before bore. Have to be darn good machinist tho. If that comes out good then I would put in oven at 220*F, (Boiling point of water), let cool slowly, then check for warp(welded area). Just my opinion, worth a try. Let us know how it turns out. Far as resleeving I have no opinion.
  24. Gonna sell t-4s? How much?
  25. Don't know where you are, but Isaw one or two on Mich CL, don't remember which city.
