  1. THANK YOU For serving our country!! Pray for guidance from God, what ever you do, don't go off on her, the time isn't worth it. A woman is like a street car, one comes along every five minutes. BTW, I got stabbed in the heart couple weeks ago, not your type of situation, but it still hurts bad. Come home safe, it will get better, I promise!!
  2. Son just got a new 87! Way ain't pretty, but wants to pep it up a little. Will mostly tight trails, Bull Gap, Mio, Mi. Elev about 1000'. Have a line on set of T-3s for $100. What kind of powerband do they produce. Tite budjet, don't go into discuss on other unless you got something elese for $100 shiped. BTW pipes are somewhat local. Stock pipes , 2-1 K&N, how much up on jets? Thanks.
  3. I sure needed that!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. If anyone of you were REALLY interested in it you would use these minor defects as bargining chips to get a good price. Give him and me a break, how many ABSOLUTLY PERFECT Banshees are there?? BTW, I love the Electric Blue. Ok, what, $50 for a longer brake line, fix pipe, bikes worth 4800. BTW if you want to see a neglected machine you ought to see my son's 87 he just got for a grand, rode hard, put away wet.
  5. Skipped right over your add! I don't need to be on sled site! List, prices, location.
  6. My son just got 87, only run on one cyl. Did whole speel of carbs, switch plug wires , everything I read on forum(wasn't member yet) Finally bought puller, pulled flywheel, cleaned poles on stator, wiped inside of f-wheel,cleaned pickup & gapped it. All good!! Have had to clean magnets and coil on lots of lawmowers, so IMO rust does affect magnetic field!!.
  7. Didn't know wether to laff, cry or PUKE!! Thank GOD it wasn't a Banshee!!!
  8. New to forum, don't know who's who yet but my prayers are with you for a speedy recovery. NOW get of your rear and get it in gear!!!!
  9. IT all started with my son getting a Warrior given by his aunt. Then he bought a blastee for a hundred bucks, needed some, OK, lots of work. Chased him thru trails at Bull Gap last summer, lots of fun. Now he bought a Shee for a grand, needs a 'lil work, Ok lots, that's why I'm on here. Years ago I used a 185 atc to chase him on his yz 80. Actually it started with an old RM 50, try teaching a ten yr old on a five speed man. clutch. Still got it and ride it LOL. Rather have a warrior than nothing. TWO STROKES RULE!! Screw the greenie weenies!!
  10. Probably going to take more than a tea party!!! We're headed down the road to socialism/ communisum. The Nanny state will take care of us. If you dont spend this money on your kids, you'll be able to spend it on some @-hole who does'nt want to work, or some illeagle who works for cash and sends most of it back home, and YOU can pay for HIS kids education. It's all about taking away OUR FREEDOM. A little from this groupe (ATV), double the tax on tobacco, can't have these guns, gotta buy these FUCKING CHINESE made light bulbs (with highly TOXIC murcury WTF!!). Can't take your kids to a drag race or Sat. nite short track, concetrated air pollution. WAKE THE FUCK UP!! Send our manufacturing jobs to China so we don't have the industrial might to fight the UN or new world order. Sorry for ranting, can't hardly wait to go to my job doing maintenance on a horse farm. Did carpentry for 35 yrs , just no work here in Detroit area, gotta feed the bulldog somehow, LOL. And don't think illeagal immigrant labor has kept the price of new houses down, its only kept wages of AMERICANS down, and I have to pay for my kids stuff, and theirs too!! CHIP AWAY, CHIP AWAY, TILL THERE IS NOTHING LEFT. BTW, if you've ever been around horses you'll know why the auto was invented!!
  11. I know you said you had fresh fuel, but bean oil is hydroscopic(attracts moisture). With all the rain we've had in S.E. Mi. lately if your fuel wasnt sealed tightly that could be the problem.
  12. Bake in oven at 450 for 45 min, turn once, get divorced, or nuts cut off. Just kidding, maybe rattle handfull of small/med nuts around to help break it up.
  13. According to Jenning's two stroke tuners handbook, pipe dimensions are primarily determined by port timing and desired rpm of power peak. This being said, why don't pipe manufacturers publish optimum port timing for their pipe, along with the rpm spec? That way a builder would have a mark to shoot for. Also, maybe someone knowledgeable could make a list of all pipes in and out of production with type of powerband and possibly porting to go with it. Then pin it so a person could read that rather than searching and having to read a dozen comments. I know that a "Great" pipe with the wrong combination of timing , carbs, etc will run like poo, then that person would say its a rotten pipe.
  14. According to Moog web sight, their rod ends are forged. Rod ends used by reagle rocket are for 78-81 courier, 76 Mazda B1600 , 77B1800' 79 B2000. Searched a web site found some interesting possibilities for ball joints, Local auto parts said he would help me, got 8-9 to check out fron pics on site. Probabaley drive him crazy, LOL! Least for me getting sleeves made won't be much of prob. Sons gf father is a machinest.
  15. Not to sure, but according to "Old" math , I think you still need about 1.3 qts.
  16. Son just got 87, ran on one cyl. Searched here for fixes. Ended up pulling flywheel, taking gasket cleaner that fits in a drill (power scotch brite) cleaned stator poles, wiped inside of flywheel, cleaned pick-up points on outside, wiped off pu coil, set gap, good to go. Hope this helps. I still have a lot to learn about 'shees! BTW, I did have spark from both wires, aparently just not hot enough on one side.
  17. Interesting thread, not stealing it , but how many Banshees have been sold in the U.S. since 1987 ? BTW wish I had $ for these, son's NEW 87 still has stockers on it, sad deal, good deal on shee tho. Thanks. BTW, remember it IS a custom order, and we live in an imperfect world.
  18. Nice work!! Did you have to ream spindle? If so what's the # of the taper? What's your thoughts on J-arm mod? Son just got a "new" 87, cant belive nobody came up with direct replacement joint for these!! With joints for a 87 Warrior going for $87 to$117 (ouch) I can see why people go with aftermarket arms. Do you think cutting stem off Moog joint you used would work for J-arm? Obviously using great care welding to avoid over heating joint. Also have a Blaster and Warrior so I should be good at this mod before I'm done. Thanks for your help.
  19. Still got them? Aren't these low to mids? Silencers? want to sell? In Mich.
  20. just got a "NEW" 87 on the cheep, dont know squat about shees, but as far as search feature I entered wont run on one cyl. and have 28 pages to weed thru. Also new to forums, dont know beans about computers either. I have already done a few things sugested and will recheck all of them, plus check others, including mouse nest in pipe! Just remember, at one time you didn't know anything about BANSHEES eithier !!!! By the way, maybe one of you Einstiens can tell me why a Blaster has a nipple for a bottle on it ??? and some of you might want to change your rag!! LOL LOL
