  1. Not very descriptive on mods or what it's doing!!!! A complete list of modifications, pipes , carbs, jetting, porting, size of "big" bore. Have you ran it again? Next time you run it make sure you let it warm up first.
  2. pics to [email protected]. Is that just uppers? How are joints and bushings?
  3. X-2 on confusing post . Compression tester was " a little, not much" shorter does not tell anyone much. 1/8" or 1/2"? Could make a lot of difference on test. Did you put pipes on then begin jetting? If you've done everything else suggested so far take head off and do visual inspection. Post what you find.
  4. Bump. Someone give him some help.
  5. Very nice looking. Don't know a lot about priceing for Shee parts, but that seems like a deal. Is it hardened? What kind of steel?
  6. A lot of snowmobiles use 2-1 pipes. Probably due more to space limits. Check aftermarket parts mfg. for sled parts, specifically AAEN. Probably have a smoother power band, maybe more tourqe. Reason they're not popular is they don't make MORE POWER!! That's what's it's ALL about.
  7. Check the pick-up coil gap, 18thou. Clean lugs on flywheel for coil. Might have to pull flywheel and clean poles on stator, and inside of f-wheel. Check all wires, all componant grounds.
  8. Step one: Purchase Clymers repair manual. Step two: use it. You got so much to do it would be impossible to walk you thru it on here. The manual is invaluable because of diagrams, photos, instructions, and specifications. Only $20-30 at most shops.
  9. Do you know what they look like?
  10. A list and prices would be nice, otherwise a lazyass like me might not bother to PM or email for info.
  11. Be nice if you at least had a list and prices.
  12. Be nice if you at least had a list and prices.
  13. My son's shee has a 4mm long rod and stock pipes. It runs good. Pipes are the best bang for your buck tho. Do a search. His has a 2mm head gasket. Or you can go 2mm jug spacer or have head rechambered for stroker domes. Also has stock carbs.
  14. Ther is a pinned or sticky on how to make a tester here on forum, either repair or general topic.
  15. You would pick up some with warm/hot eng. Don't know how much tho. As far as shaving head do a search, but be aware that you're going to be using premium gas at the least. I do belive that you can go 30thou max, but you still have to check squish clearance (search)
  16. I have same basic setup. If you had head off you would see that piston sticks out of cyl 2mm. 2 up/2down=4mil. I have learned on forum that you can use 2mil spacer under cyl, 2mil head gasket, or have head re-chambered for stroker. Be doubly sure to talk to your builder because with what was done to ports you might not be able to do anything else to ports. BTW I have the 2mm head gasket, but totally stock ports, piston goes 2mm past bottom of transfer ports.
  17. Switch plug wires one cyl to other. If it follows wire its the cap. Check picup coil, outside of flywheel, lower right. gap should be 18 thousands. Check that both nubs on flywheel for pickup are CLEAN. If that doesnt cure it check all wires carefully, check grounds, tightness/cleanleness of conecters. Cdi, coil bolts tight? Check stator wires/clean poles, inside of flywheel. Hope this helps.
  18. It does make a difference in what piston to use. Be sure to talk to your builder about it.
  19. If you cant buy just rings thats a good reason for not buying them. If your only going to use them for three months just buy more namuras and save the cost of weisco. Just a thought, take old ring to Yamaha dealer and compare to EXACT same size of stock ring , you'l need a good eye and a micrometer. Still can't belive nobody has rings. Good luck!!
  20. Man over eight hours and no smart ars answers? What's with that? Battery going, starter, charging circut. Take battery charger see if it needs charge. No? Hook charger directly to hot lead of starter, starter sound ok? No drag/grinding? Do with ign on see how it starts. Plug good? Good spark?(with battery only/then w/ charger on) any diff?
  21. I doubt a banshee owner would use a blaster axle, but a Blaster owner would damn sure use a shee axle. Same difference, check on the blaster forum. BTW, got a shee, blast, warrior.
  22. Would you put a Ford door on a chevy? Why take a chance on someones opinion? Just get namura rings for namura pistons. So simple a caveman can do it!! LOL
  23. Welcome!! You can learn a lot by reading and searching forum. My son just got a shee that should have been in a box, LOL . BTW, have fun and enjoy!!
