  6. well I did a total 180 on my project, check it out.... http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=119804
  7. have any of you guys used or know of anyone using the "2-step" feature on the Dynatech FS ignitions...I've used 2-step in cars and have seen good results, but any feedback on the option that the 2 step launch that the dynatech FS offers?? I'm sure this would really only apply to a serious drag(dirt/asphalt/sand) setup
  8. funny thing is, I've been searching CL to see if I can find a cheap running one this time so I can go out and ride with my buddys while I build this one. I found a few blasters, so that might have to hold me over till this build is done. finally got the motor out today and took the wiring harness off. one rod had shot through the case, hacked off the end of the front engine mount bolt....good shit!!! probably will start taking the rest off tommorow and go wash and clean the frame up. Plan on doing the suspension/chassis work first before deciding on what I will do as far as the motor build. hoping to get the light-weight weld on sub-frame next week as a start....a few more pics
  9. awesome thanks for the feedback!!! yeah, great customer service always gets a thumbs up from me!! I got bored tonight after I got home and started pulling the motor and stripping her down...waiting for my puller to come in and gotta go borrow my buddy's impact for that chain bolt. it had FMF pipes on it, they were kinda banged up on the bottom side, but still in decent shape. camera phone, pics, didn't feel like going inside to get the digital....
  10. I'm in Upper Marlboro, MD....I see you're in Glen Burnie right down the way. yeah, searching the forums has definently helped, I definently have a game plan for the quad suspension/chasis and engine wise. I was up many nights in the HQ archives researching. I've been lurking since May, when I had my motorycle accident(broke my arm) and decided to give "2 wheels" a break and try my hand at 4 wheels, LOL
  11. I'm from MD, any builders on the east coast would be handy...PA seems to have quite a few and is only about 3hrs away at the most. any ides? Brandon, I talked with you and your girlfriend/wife(can't remeber) a few months ago when I was planning my build on the '99 I was supposed to buy in June, you guys were extra extra helpful and still number 1 on my list for the build! Thanks man, definitely will keep you in mind and thanks all for the welcome
  12. thanks for the welcome guys...I'm definently gonna take lots of pics, gonna try and get in the garage tomorrow and start. I hear you on the $$$ part...I've been pricing thnig here and there for the last couple months before buying it so I've got a budget and my wallet ready, or so I hope...LOL
  13. after years of wanting one I finally got one...picked up a 2003 with a cracked case for really cheap. my plan was to rebuild the motor anyways, so for the price this was a perfect find. Been researching on BHQ for the past months and have a good idea of what I wanna do. My plan is to make it into an asphalt dragger. I plan to build it over the course of the winter and hopefully hit the pavement next spring. For this inital build I'm thinking of going with Wildcard and building a 4mil drag engine, nothing too spectacular but enough to get going and learn the quad. Anyone have experince with Wildcard? They seemed really helpful and responded great to all my emails and very knowledgeable. Herr Juggs was also great, but I already know they have a good rep on here. I can't wait to start ripping her apart this week...haven't had a project "vehicle" to mess around with in years, should be fun
