  1. My 87 died this past weekend. I pulled the jugs off and the right side piston ring is fried. Not a big deal. The problem is with the jugs off and the pistons free the motor still wont turn. Does this mean my crank is seized? i really dont want to have to rebuild the entire motor. that gets really expensive. Please any help or ideas would be great.
  2. My jam nut on my front main drive spocket comming off the tranny will not stay tight. ride a mile or two and its ready to fall off.. how the hell do i tighten this thing down? ive wrenched on it over and over agian and still comes loose. the threads on both the nut and the shaft are fine. is this a common problem?
  3. Ive got stock carbs w/ 27.5 pilots and 260 mains being the mods i have. FMF Fatty pipes and powercore 2 silencers, Boyesen RAD system, K&N replacement filter and boost bottle. I just rebuilt the carbs with all new components and put them back on the motor and Im not getting any fuel into the intake. Ive had them off 3 times adjusting the needles, checked the floats, cleaned the hell out of everything and still cant get any fuel. The lines a full and so are the bowls. Im stumped now. Someone suggested a broken reed would keep the bike from sucking fuel?? Does this make sense?? PLEASE any help would be great.
  4. Can anyone recommend what jets i should be running with a .30 over motor FMF Fattys with powercore 2 siliencers, boyesen rad valves, K&N stock airbox filter, boost bottle, and stock carbs?? Ive got all the stock jetting and its running but i know it can run so much better with the proper jetting for the mods
  5. I run FMF Fattys with powercore silencers, Boyesen Reeds and spacers, K & N stock airbox kit.
  6. Does anyone run the Trinity 2 into 1 carb setup and what do you think of it? Ive got stock carbs now and want to upgrade and everyones been telling me to go with this set up for the type of riding i do. Trail Riding. Ive been told its great for low end torque? Let me know all the goods and BAD's from guys running this set up
  7. i have no idea how long the oil's been run. i actually havent even riden it yet. i just bought it from some idiot who didnt even know what he had. its in great structural shape and the motor ran pretty well. i only paid 500$ for it so i really dont care about dumpin some money into it. I knew it needed some work so i decided to strip it right down and go frame up that way i know whats done and that its done right.
  8. Thanks for the help. The motors sitting on the workbench so i may as well replace all the seals while its out.
  9. New to the Banshee.. I pulled the plug in the motor and the crank oil was a thick almost milky greyish color. What could be causing this?? Coolant leak??
  10. Does anyone know if the rear shock on a 90' Banshee is rebuildable? What is a decent fairly cheap aftermarket shock??
  11. Im new to the Banshee riding experience. I have many wheelers in the past but nothing quite like this machine. It has the stock axels and carrier in it now but the stupid shmoe who i bought it from snot welded the jam nut and right hub to the axel shaft. I have a complete good blaster rear end im wondering will it fit and will it be sufficient enough to hold the power of the banshee. The bike is pretty stock with the exception of reeds, pipes and silencers. Everything looks like it will fit and match but i dont want to go through the trouble of the swap if its not going to work properly. im mainly a trail rider so i dont want to fight the expense of putting an entire rear end upgrade in it just yet. Please anyones help would be great. Im dying to get this thing back up and running..
