  1. Well then i guess we should stick to the stock a arms/swinger/shocks/pipe/head/porting/colors/tires wheels chain ect... because if yamaha has been doing it that way since the dark ages they must be perfect for everyone in stock form. Ill pay pal anyone 20 bucks if they can tell me any serious drawbacks to having a single carb on a TRAIL bike,as a TRAIL mod.
  2. Here are the charts from a crank dyno, not rear wheel. Shows gains in the low,and losses in the high, just like any trail mod or low end mod will do. Im not saying that a single carb will make your banshee lay golden eggs,im saying there are enough benefits to single that some of us trail guys prefer it.
  3. If you have used a 1:2 carb kit and lost a lot of power, your doing it wrong. 2-4 more hp bottom end,2-4 less on top on the same port/pipe setup. It is a trail mod,not a drag/top end mod.
  4. If you find your running stock everything, and the cylinders just have been slightly decked, and your squish is to tight, you wont have a problem running a thicker base gasket,it will change your port timing a little, but not to where its going to be a big deal
  5. I went to buy klotz a coupld days ago,and it was 14.99. So i switched to amsoil,10.99
  6. I prefer jerry reeds, but with vforce reeds you will probably need to adjust something.
  7. A single 33-35mm carb pushes more hp/tourque in the low/mid range on a mildly built bike than a dual setup, there are dyno charts to back this up.
  8. Watch out for those outlander 800's. There is a slightly modded one that hangs around our local spot and flat out hauls ass
  9. You can run up to 4mil stroke without case work. Your going to want 2 carbs for a cub
  10. Pull the caliper off and make sure nothing is frozen up.
  11. The pwk and pwk AS are awesome carbs, far better than the old pj's. I have always found the pilot jet is a little tricky to dial in but they are great carbs,. I also absolutely SWEAR by the single carb kit on the banshee. Easier to tune, easier to jet,way easier on the thumb, more power in the low rpm,and snappier
  12. If you are going to run them at is,be sure to have the ports chamfered like wildcard is saying,or your headed for a big problem
  13. Went to change my lower ball joints, and both of them broke off inside the a arms, one broke off when it was almost out,and the other never budged.Maybe a machine shop could do it?
  14. I would run the two into one,but i would not buy it new from trinity, used ones can be had for half the price.
  15. you need to use the trinity acorn nuts it centers the head.
  16. I had a problem with a pro flow style adapter not sealing with the airbox. So i just jb welded the adapter in lol,no more leaks. They are talking about using air filter oil btw, your supposed to oil your filters.
  17. I wanna see a loaded run with a briggs and stratton pipe
  18. It is a very common misconception that 450's are slow and automaticaly should lose to banshees. Not to knock banshees whatsoever
  19. Before you ever fire it up,before it even goes into the frame, pressure test it.
