  1. With your elevation and a aggressive port job it sounds like you are were you should be.
  2. I think you are geared to high.15-41 is what i run on my 72 rollout tires on my 421 cub on alky.I would drop 1 tooth in front.Try it you will like it.How long of swingarm do you have?
  3. Matched is better, but i have mix them without problems on several occasions.
  4. If you are going to get it ported, drop in a 4mil crank and get it ported for the crank,if budget allows.
  5. 4mil crank, either have stock jugs ported for riding style,or if you want a topend/dune bike or drag bike get a cub cylinder.Don't bore out your stock cylinders to try to make power, you only need to bore to get a fresh bore. Also i have to throw my pitch out there for Redline Racing, also a site sponser.Any of the site sponsers will do you right.
  6. I will NEVER switch back to race gas for a drag bike NEVER EVER, NOPE, NOPE, NO WAY, NO HOW. You make more power and your motor runs ALOT cooler. You can run alot more timing(+10) and i like my compression around 185 for alky, it's all about set up to take advantage of the alky.Just purge your bike after a fun day of racing. If i am racing all weekend i don't purge until the end of the weekend when i am done. When you switch to alky you can also go up at least 1 tooth on your front sprocket.
  7. The fans worked good when we were down doing tree shots and hill shots, running the piss out of the bikes were there was no air flow and you aren't going very fast. You don't need fans when you are moving
  8. Hearing a pinging sound in the expansion chamber at idle is normal.
  9. I think you should be good with the .120 on the dumps. My track carbs are drilled to .120 and my dune carbs are drilled to .122
  10. My buddie put a computer cooling tower fan on his bike and wired it to his high beam light wire,so when you turned the high beams on the fan cam on.Those fans don't take hardly any power so no stator change had to be made.It was one of those brushless motor ones.
  11. The wrist pin height is raised to compensate for the longer rod.
  12. Yea, they are for drag mainly. Thanks
  13. Since you like topend you could just go with a 4mil cub instead of the vito's cylinder.
  14. Sooooo........you make it sound like pistons, billet parts, and coolheads are made by one manufacture with whatever name you want stamped on it when you place an order. That's not the case though. For example a Vito's fat bastard pipe is made by Shearer, but to Vito's specs.I am not trying to start anything or be a dick, but you could insult other parts venders by those implications.imo
  15. I think a 4mil would work good, but the T-5s aren't meant for mx like a pro circiut.I haven't messed with the 404 kit,but if you put too big of sleeve in stock jugs it takes away from your transfer port passage area, there is not enough room.
  16. I have had many different banshee's and still have a 3 of them,i have built alot of different banshee motors(i am by no means a pro motor builder)i do it as hobbie.I have tried alot of different setups and ridden ALOT of diferent setups between my bikes and my buddies bikes and my kids bikes.I also have 4 stroke quads and a rhino.I am also building a 558 cheetah drag big. My point being is my drag bike in my sig is not my only bike. You should not make assumptions that i know nothing about 2 into 1 set ups.I have played with them didn't like them.I also have never been beaten by 2 into 1 on my dune bike yet alone on my drag bikes.I would rather keep dual carbs. What is the benifit of running a 2 into 1?It wont make me faster, and i don't care if i have to change jets in 2 carbs. If i want a bottem end or trail bike i will buid a dual carb motor to accomplish that.Too each there own though. Sorry i forgot that it said at the start of the post that if you did not like the 2 into 1 you were not allowed to post.
  17. That's funny,my wife is always getting mad at me for doing shit like that
  18. That would hold up with NO problem.
  19. If your cylinders just have a clean up port and have just been opened up so they flow better then you should be ok,it is just when the port timings have been changed alot you cant use them.
  20. If you run non resistor plug caps on your bike you have to run resistor plugs or you will damage your cdi.
  21. Pro X pistons I suppose these are Wiseco's pistons also Those are some pretty bold statements for someone that sells parts.imo
  22. What's to talk about, Putting a single carb set up on something that came from the factory with dual carbs would be like putting a 2 barrel carb on an engine that came from the factory with dual 4s or a six pack.
