  1. I am going to look more into it tonight and try and figure out whats going on. Its just wierd that they worked fine before i took them off the swingarm and now need to be re bled all the time with no obvious signs of a leak. ha ha i hate brakes too! Stopping is overated.
  2. I have been using dot 3. every time i re bleed them they r great for the day and after it sits for a day or two they get soft again. i made sure the caliper was the highest point in the system when i bled them not really sure whats going on.
  3. Was putting my new mod quad chain slider on so I pulled the rear swingarm off and took the two bolts off of the rear caliper and let it hang. When I put it all together and bled the rear brakes everything seemed fine but now after a day or two of sitting the rear brakes seem to go soft. No puddles under the wheeler when in garage no signs of a leak anywhere.
  4. Cool thans year i just took a quick look. i have to pull the swingarm off to put this one on no cut in it like the others.
  5. i bought the mod quad chain slider for the front and it has a 1/2 in dowl like piece on this do i have to drill a hole in my swing arm to install this. Didn't get to much of a chance to look at it before i left for work.
  6. thanks for the input yeah i ran a little hot disposing of my old tires. so maybe i will try putting one of those fans on.
  7. Was curious if anyone has ever tried installing an electric fan on their banshee. If so was a bigger stator needed?
  8. Alright well thanks again guys. Info has been a big help. Well now just have to bite the bullet and pull out the plastic ha ha.
  9. yeah thats the plan i went back on this forum about 7 pages last night and read a bunch of others crank questions which i should have read before oops. So if i go with this 4mm crank do u think it would run ok with the stock port compared to a stock engine banshee that has exhaust. I plan on going through the upper end every year just cause I would rather have new pistons then chancing splitting the case the next time she lunches. Thats when i will get the porting done.
  10. I was just trying to figure out if this machine has been bored before i just bought it about a month ago. From what I have read 64mm is stock, 64.5mm is 20 over, and 65mm is 40 over so I am guessing with the piston i pulled out with the numbers being 6475 it must be 30 over? I am planning on buying all new parts for this machine and was mainly wondering would it be worth the extra buck to start with the longer crank now and eventually get the porting done next year when i rebuild it again?
  11. Thanks for the info I aint to familar with these machines more into the snowmobile factor. Everything you guys have said makes sense i suppose in order to know what a ball park figure in cost i would be best off calling jeff like u have stated above. Another question my wiseco piston i pulled out is a 64.75 from what i can make out of it would that be correct bore?
  12. My banshee crank just went south. Looking at putting the Stroker Crank in but is it worth while to do so while keeping stock porting and bore? Also has anyone tried the Lakes Motorsports kit off of e-bay?
