  1. Checked it all out, Found nothing. Plugs have a nice soot mark. No cracks or leaks of anykind. Again impressive power to say the least. All the years I had a 2 stroke dirt bike I never had that happen. 2 cyclinders probably makes it prime for the dieseling effect. 2 stroke Jet skis are 2 cyclinders as well. The gas powered 4 stroke carts at my job are 2 cyclinder and somtimes fire in reverse for a few seconds when there shut off. Yeah the old bonneville I had I purposely advanced the timing for more power, Only draw back was the dieseling at shutoff.
  2. What impresses me is how much power the dieseling effect had!!!! It was moving like I had half to 3/4 way open thorttle. And the brakes were not to effective. I thought the most dieseling could do is when I had a old 85 pontiac bonneville with a 4 barrel carb on it, Everytime I used to shut it off it would ping pang bong rattle for about 1 minute after I shut if off unless I shut if off with it in drive. But the way this thing did it reving like it wanted to own me boggles the hell out of me. And I am sure it was not a stuck slider, The kill switch tells it all. Now I'm going to be alot more jumpy when I turn comes around.
  3. Thats the correct term that I could not remember, Yeah dieseling. Operating on the same principle of a diesel engine. I thought the engine was done for when I seen the temps continue to rapidly rise while it was doing it. Sorry to here about your experience. Yeah this I was not expecting and my heart skipped a few beats. But I acted quick. Is this common on banshees when they get warm?
  4. So I am riding today and felt like doing donuts, Well I am having fun doing donuts and seen my temps were getting around 200 and said thats enough need to ride to cool it down, So I gunned it down the trail and comming up on a turn I let off the throttle except the engine did not stop, It continued to rev, I quick pulled the clutch and hit the kill switch but there was no kill, It continued to rev in a very wierd sounding way and I finally got it to stop by pulling the choke, Temps were reading 215 by this time. I let it cool off checked the throttle and it was not stuck at all, I fired it back up and it ran fine. What the hell happened? Was this a uncontrollable hot spot combustion taking place? Has this happened to anyone else before? Scared the hell out of me. Like I said it was reving in wierd kinda sounding way, I run 93 octane 32:1 supertechniplate, BR8ES plugs, Wiseco pro lites with stock head.
  5. Nice answer, Thanks for the in depth reply. Yeah I was talking about the PRELOAD. I kinda thought it had somthing to do with that but wanted to confirm. I will definetley keep you in mind about the revalve job, I am going to be soon upgrading the front shocks to somthing better and should do the rear aswell to get it all done right. Reason I run bigger tires for now is the fields here in florida tend to have quite tall brush and these tires keep it up off the ground better. Not only that, But my top speed is dratically faster with them on to.
  6. I know this is a dumb question, I know what the bottom adjustment on the rear shock does, What does the top adjustment do? Not the dial for softer or harder either I am talking about. And another thing, If running bigger size tires on your banshee would they put more strain on your shocks then the right size ones would? I know everyone does not like the stock front shocks but I have not heard much about how good the rear shock is. I know I generate tons of heat on the shocks when I ride. The rear looks like its built niceley.
  7. Yeah tony is a great seller, With great communication all the way!! I wish all ebayers were like this dude.
  8. When I was younger and less wise, I made the mistake of running 120 octane in a stock 350 without any rejetting work done. BIG MISTAKE!
  9. So there that incredibly bad huh? Well I am without doubt going to upgrade so I am crossing my fingers and hoping they will last for 6 more months, The wife will kill me if I spend anymore money on the bitch. Speaking of wife/girls I think I need to keep that one topic alive with females on banshees.
  10. I seen the ones for $42 but they are the complete inner and outer filter, My inner filter is in great shape and is the reason I only want the outer foam part. I was looking at the k&n's to. They don't make a filter that would fit the proflow adapter do they,
  11. HELP!!!!!!!!! Where can I buy a Pro flow replacement outer filter only??? I beeen looking everywhere and the only thing I kind find is the complete filter or the whole kit, I only need the outer foam filter. I seen the uni filters but I don't know if they will fit. The filter I have is this, http://www.mawonline.com/google/PPD200.HTM Its driving me nuts trying to find one. So hopfully someone can steer me in the right direction. Also are these filters any good? I only ask cause thats what was on my banshee when I bought it and the stupid thing just fell into pieces when I went to pull it off.
  12. Well as the title states what can I do to get the most out of stock shocks so they won't blow out? I know not jumping it off the ground is one but my stocker went out without warning for no reason. I do ride pretty fast even when semi rough but its not overkill, I notice they generate lots of heat when I ride but I don't think heat that is not burning heat will be bad for them? Any help really appreciated as well as a suggestion for mildly priced aftermarket shocks anyone recommends.
  13. I have blue plastics almost complete without the radiator cover though. Rear plastic fenders, Gas tank cover, And front plastic with the fenders choped. They are in fair condition meaning they do have some scratches here and there but they are still 100% good to go., I am looking for the following, a-arm protectors, extended swing arm ect, Really up for whatever you may have. Message me, I am interested in all parts.
  14. Once again thank you HQ members. This topic is closed as I got what I needed.
  15. I appreciate the reply, If it were income tax time I'd take them off your hands for sure. I trying to find some stockers under $100 though to get me through till then.
