  1. Or take the nuts off the rims every time you stop riding.
  2. I'd imagine jumping a +12 stretched banshee would be sort of like trying to jump a crappy go kart (teeter totter effect). Just wait to wack the throttle till your farther in the powerband.
  3. Some lonely mofos on this site!
  4. The STS tire and auto center? The nearest one to me is 130 miles away. :shoothead: . Any other places you have heard of around northern va? All the places around me charge 60-80 bucks for four tires and charge around $100 an hour on anything service related.
  5. Not trying to hijack your thread but I had a quick question. I recently ordered razr2's as well and my shop charges $20 to install each tire. Is it worth me getting the tools to do it myself or will it not be the worth the hassle and price?
  6. Couldn't you do most of that for around 8k? Maybe not all the pretty chrome and plastics but still. If its in front it doesn't matter how cool it looks.
  7. Got my fronts in 2 days from RMATV and im located in VA. Now just waiting for the rears : /.
  8. Is it me or have I seen those pics on his website somewhere before? Might of been his site a while ago but just want people to check it out to be sure.
  9. Did you go from 280-300-240? That seems like too big of a drop. Make sure its not from 1/4 - 3/4 because that would be the needle. I'd try to do a 260 on the mains and see how that does. Mine did the same thing with cracked intake boots. Check for any kind of leaks or cracks when your around the carbs. Good luck. For the topend someone else can chime in on that. 135 seems low compared to 155 though.
  10. Nice work man. Good deal since it looks like you know what your getting into. Keep the pics coming with process.
  11. I just figured i'd do that to send my topic to the top....didn't think there was a clymers manual explaining how to raise posts to the top. I coulda said Obama is the president if I wanted to as well but I just went with the period. Just kidding guys but was just wondering if you guys recommended anything else.
  12. Yea well I will see. They are 6ply and I ride where they're is a lot of rocks and random shit that makes it bumpy from time to time. The knarleys didn't seem to have much of a sidewall. I never ride dunes and i'll be off the road after my new tires. If anyone wants a set of bald tires for spikes or smooth buffs (whatever they're called) i'll get rid of them cheap.
  13. You GAVE those away!
  14. Yea I wanna hop on this before it starts getting nice or i'm just going to be depressed lol. This thing ran like a champ when I got it and just farted out since then. Once I rebuild it it should run crazy good because it was a pretty clean bike to begin with.
  15. Ended up going with the maxxis razr 2's up front and razrs in the back. Thats what rmatv had. I didn't think they had my size in knarleys but if I knew I woulda got them. Hopefully these razrs hold up. The stocks are nice but I was dumb and road on my driveway too much so there bald. I'll be sure to let ya guys know how they work.
  16. The problem is just as much the on/off as it is the carbs. If you fix the on/off you won't have to worry about it leaking.
  17. I'll be doing strictly trails and a little open areas. I want a strong sidewall as well. I think I'm going with the maxxis razr's. So will the 20x11x9 6 plys work for me? I noticed you said 0 to -2 in size. Does that mean you can go up to 2 sizes smaller but none bigger? RMATV only has razr 2's for the fronts but they have my size - 22x7x10.
  18. I know its stupid but i've never bought tires for either of my quads and my z400 needs them bad. I'm going with maxxis razrs or kenda knarleys and am looking at rockymountainatv.com for them. My size is Rear: AT 20 x 10-9 and Front: AT 22 x 7-10. Can someone tell me what sizes will fit my rims because I don't understand how you can go up one size on width or height and they still fit on the rim. Can someone clear this up for me please because I want to order them today or tomorrow. Thanks guys
  19. I plan on rebuilding my shee. Not from the ground up but I'm planning on getting it bored .20 over, a port job, and +4 timing. It runs like doo-doo now because the compression is low and I know the pistons are shit. After I finish the rebuild it will have +2+1 arms up front, +4 timing, trinity 2-1 carb, cool head with 21-22cc domes, trail port, and will be bored .20 over. Other than that is there anything you guys would recommend me doing while the top ends off and I have time on my hands? I'm thinking about replacing all the bearings/bushings on the rear end because there is a good amount of play in the swinger. I'm going to call around before I take my jugs off but between HJR and FAST do you guys know the difference in turnaround time? Also since I have a 2-1 will they be able to help me jet my bike after the rebuild? Thanks for any help in advance I can't wait to get this rebuild over with!
  20. Your right. None of these other posts are accomplishing anything....O wait.....shit
  21. Bookmarked this page. I'll be back to see what happened next time I'm bored.
  22. People usually say when you can pull it and not kick it over then its low compression, but if you did a recent rebuild then that shouldn't be the case. I'd think that you'd know if the kicker was defective some how lol. Good luck i'm sure someone can chime in and help you out.
  23. ^^^HES LIVING ON THE EDGE^^^^^
  24. He says, "ported, polished, AND BORED. Then out of nowhere. Boost Bottle. Looks stock, until you get on it. Then whats it look like? Lol. He fails to mention how much its bored over and being bored isn't really a good selling tool unless its .20 over on a new top end. I realized its better to be straight then to make up shit when it comes to ebay or selling anything.
