  1. Fedor got burned. if he loses his next one hes done for sure but if he wins he can redeem himself
  2. this thred is over a year old!!
  3. most people in canada shaft riders hard. my local dealerships here in bc shaft people so hard that even after paying 10-15 bucks shipping on a 5 dollar part its still cheaper buying from the us. and port work forget about it all you get here is some garbage. i once paid 3 grand to rebuild a dirt bike. i was young and stupid now that same rebuild cost me 600.
  4. i dont get how you would lose compression your just taking the head off. no you would not lose compression by taking the head off.
  5. to the guy that said stock impellers never fail. last year i bough 5 clutch covers pc'd them and sold them on ebay and out of 5 covers 4 of them had a damaged or broken impeller. 2 were completely round and the other 2 were cracked. I cant say weather those peoples bikes overheated or not but I can tell you for a fact the stock impellers do fail.
  6. he could have won if he kept his distance he broke the guys arm but hes got an egg for a chin and the slightest touch knocks him out.
  7. where in canada are you?
  8. iv never seen such clean cylinders looks like pictures out of the clymers book. haha
  9. I guess the no such thing as a stupid question thing is out the door. I always thought you had to have above average mechanical ability to even own a banshee.
  10. i use 80-20 antifreeze(20) and water(80).
  11. i think you guys are being a little harsh on the geckos. there like a $100 for a set they get the job done not everyones got $200 to spend on a set of skat traks. dont get me wrong i run haulers myself but 2 of my friends run geckos on yfz450s and 2 run sand stars and there is no place where the one can go and the others cant. believe it or not the bike with the geckos is the fastest all bikes have same mods pipe, k&n, jetted.
  12. my method isnt really long term but gets the job done. i wash the bike with an sos pad (steel wool with some sort of soap) then i wipe the quad try with armoral looks mint until you get it dirty then do it agian but it takes me 20 mins and every time it gets easyer and easyer because the armorall protects it. I made my 91 honda 4x4 look like new after 18 years and 1600hrs of abuse.
  13. i bought this kit for my 250r build and it was missing alot of bolts. foot pegs, seat latch, brake lever, a couple other things pissed me off. I used all oem engine bolts though.
  14. i used grease too but the head is such a close fit that it jerks a little when it gets caught. oh well but can i do anything about the 1 piston with low comp or am i in for a new top end?
  15. no but there was water in both cylinders mixed with motor oil. and the o rings on the head were all buggerd up. I guess I should have done a leakdown test when I built the motor. damn cool head is so hard to install with the damn o rings always falling out of place.
  16. well i built a motor last year 4 mill agressive trail port with 21cc domes. I am tearing it apart to change a crank seal and i noticed one cylinder has 150psi and the other has 100psi compression. The motor doesnt even have 20 hours on it. it was leaking coolant and motor oil and one cylinder got messed up. Can i hone and change the rings to get compression back up or do i need to go new top end? pistons looks like new and the bore has no scratches at all.
  17. emptyd my inbox will take some pictures in the morning.
  18. I got a 4 mill crank for sale I was gonna use it for a spare motor but I need money. its a 115 long rod hot rods crank its missing one rod because it blew. the rod can be had for about a 100 ish. looking to get $160 shipped.
  19. sounds like gonorrhea. i would get it tested.
  20. thats incorrect canada is part of north america and you can get em new here suckas
  21. Posted 16 December 2006 - 09:30 AM im guessing its sold.
  22. another reason to love canada (BC) as long as it doesnt come up stolen your good to go! no titles no registration no worries. you can check if its stolen in 1 min when you buy it too.
  23. i think if i keep it im gonna buy a spare motor and create a storage compartment in my trailer for it that way if i get a break down its only a 1 hour swap to put in a new motor and ride on. im tired of not riding because of break downs Iv covered all the electrical crap ill just buy a spare carb and spare motor everything else I can buy out there on the spot. i know its a pretty high price to pay to ride the bike but I love the banshee and just want to ride it.
  24. well iv had my banshee for 2 years and I have had some really good times on the banshee but also had my fair share of problems. Most of my friends ride 4 strokes and the only problems they have ever had with their bikes is there pant legs burning. I took my banshee to the dunes and lost a crank seal and only got to ride 12 hours on my trip where I should have ran it around 25-30 hours. I am considering selling my banshee and going to a raptor 700 but i know Ill always miss the banshee but that 700 is a monster of a bike. I post this here because i wanted you guys to talk me into keeping my bike. Iv taken this bike to the dunes 3 times and I have had problems every time 2 times it was just some random problem and 1 time I take full responsibility for. Im just tired of my shit breaking and want to move to something more reliable i love the banshee but its no good to me constantly breaking down. I always hear people say you just need to work out the kinks and your good but how do you prevent a crank seal from going or a cdi box from failing or some random bearing busting? its just the nature of the beast
