  4. i race my yz250f and my oil costs 10bucks a quart changed every week or so. top end has to be changed every season that costs about the same as a top end rebuild for a banshee. the only thing is I can change a banshee top end myself. the 250f is a whole diffrent story. I agree that 4strokes are cheaper but there are 2 type of four strokes. your honda trx3004x4 is going to be 100times cheaper then any 2 stroke. but then again your yfz450 is probably going to be in the same range if not more.
  5. with the amount of security around my bikes somebody would need giant kahonays and some serious break in skills. plus if somebody was siphoning it out they could just take it out of the jerry can that sits beside the banshee. haha
  6. I cant figure this out. everytime I fill my banshee fuel tank it seems like a few days of sitting and Im out of fuel. i dont have a puddle of fuel underneath so it hasnt gone through the carbs. Does it just fly away that fast? I put some premixed gas in a bucket a year ago and it went from full to a 1/4 but that took almost a month and a half. iv resorted to just puting enough fuel in it for a short ride.
  7. iv been thinkin about comin to larson for a couple years now if i didnt hear so many rumors of those old guys driving so slow I would have been up in a heart beat im only like an hour and 20mins away. i think i might be able to get a couple sport quads up there if there are going to be more. Im adding a few HP to my bike the old fashion way (diet and excersize) so I might just give you a run for your money.
  8. i had the same problem except mine turned off while I was riding it. it turns out one of the screws holding my stater came loose and choped up the stator. the lights turned on when I pulled it too and I had no spark.
  9. savage if your runnin them Im runnin them! now I just have to save up the coin to get a pair. I think ill wait until I send my top end out. do your guys carbs have the "power jets"?

  13. i did mine myself without a hairdryer and it was loose as a goose(i did a terrible job). but then a couple days riding in the hot sun and bam its tight as hell. again I paid like 28bucks on ebay.

  16. Im from Abbotsford BC. I ride with a ton of guys that run 450s I run a 450 myself but the banshee is faster. I bought my banshee in april or may last year and iv been building the piss out of it since. Its about 85% done.
  17. i did the conversion and I dont think you can flip the upper arms. The shocks clear by a few millimeters.
  18. well the problem side is the new carb side. I will check the slide height tomorrow. I will also swap plug wires and maybe even the plugs themselves. thanks for the help I will update more tomorrow
  19. well here are my issues. After sitting for a month or so I started her up today. when I put her away in november I was in search for a new carb because one of them was messed up. well i changed the carb and was ready to go. but I still have some problems. first thing it doesnt idle unless I give a little gas. Right cyliner just smokes like a mother when throttled left smokes to but no where near as much It wont powerband until about 3rd gear feels like I have 65-70% of the power I normally have when kicking it will only start when I have the throttle 3/4 of the way pushed in. Right pipe makes kind of a wierd sound when cruisin around
  20. I have both YFZ450 and a banshee and unless im on the track its BANSHEE all the way. INFACT I was considering selling one of the two for a sled and after deep thought I did the right thing and put the YFZ450 for sale.

  22. iv read some reviews on the X2 and iv heard alot of good stuff about it. but Im looking at the cheaper model for like 125. is anyone using the hjc frs? or any chatterboxes for that matter?
  23. I have a 250f that I bought brand new in 06 and i maintaind the piss out of it and its 09 now and im still running strong on the original top end. valve check here and there and your done. I went from a 250cc two strke to a 250f and to be honest the 250f feels way more beastly. but between 250F and 125 I would go 250F anyday of the week.
  24. i love banshee owners. most people know there shit and theres the percentage of people who just dont know jack. i was talking to a guy yesterday that told me he was pushing 92hp with just 3 bolt on mods. he was 6'4 280lbs so I just agreed with him.
