  1. K got ya. Thanks for clearing that up
  2. Hey Snop. What does Rpm have in relationship with the squish? I know a bunch of motor stuff but the squish thing is still a little forgein to me. I get that the squish is the space between the piston and the head but how doesn RPM effect what you should run.
  3. I had 2 CR125's and loved them. They were 1990's though so a little older then your looking for. Anyways whats wrong with a CR500 in the woods? Honestly I think a 500 would do better then a shee. 500's at least have a bottom end. Did you like the honda alumium frames? Like I said I thought they were a little harsh. Plus Honda's have alot of head shake. Love Honda's but love my Yamaha's just a little more.
  4. You like the Honda alumium frames? I rode some of the early models and they are rough as hell. The frames dont flex at all. Now my YZ125 with the alumium frame feels just like a steel frame but about 20 pounds lighter.
  5. If the snorkel is still on take that off. Try a 300 main, 25 pilot and 2 turns out on the airscrew. If your buying the jets get 290mains to 310 mains and get 27.5 pilots. Open up those carbs and tell me what you have in it. Also what plugs do you have?
  6. Yeah where you live. How far above sea level are you? Do you still have the stock air filter? Did you get a kit from Toomey with the airbox inserts?
  7. We need more info. Whats your elevation, do you still have your air lid or snorkel. Any idea what your jetting is right know?
  8. Like said try the 14 and the 22" see how that runs. Hey man thats what this sites for. And a little joking around here and there
  9. Do a search. There is a gearing calculator on here that someone posted. Like I said it will take you a coulple minutes to throw it on. If its too low jump up to a 15. If you try the 14 and you need more go back to the 22" tires and see what you think. Use what you have to see what you need. Here you go: http://home.earthlink.net/~gellett/banshee.htm
  10. Try the sprockets and tires. Its easy enough to change. See what happens and adjust from there.
  11. Thats what I'm talking about too
  12. Start in the middle 1.5 turns out. Try the stock pilot first. If you dont have anything else done you should be fine with the 25 pilot
  13. My Janessen's have the same setup. They came with lock nuts and a hole to put a cotter pin in. Mine havent come loose yet. I also used the heavy duty loctite the perament stuff. Maybe its just a bad bolt. It does happen.
  14. Hey Sean. Did you get your arms setup? That LSR article is pretty spot on. If you can post some pics up. That will help us out. If you cant get it PM me man.
  15. Dont go by two turns out on this side = two turns on that side. Make sure the thing is on a level ground and get yourself a ruler and a degree finder. just adjust the arms to get what degrees you want. Set your stuff for each side. The only thing you really need to make sure of is that your wheels are an equal distance from a set point on the frame. If you dont figure it out tonight PM me when you have time tomorrow to talk.
  16. Hey man. How far off are they? Frame might be off or the arms might be off. If you have a chance let me know whats going on and I might be able to help.
  17. I hear you there. It looks like you guys made the jump to send you out not up. Really play with the face of the jumps. The way we did it was we had a guy running a bobcat and he would build the first jump and shape the face. Then I would jump it a couple times to see how it was hitting and where I was landing. Then we would build the landing and shape the back side. When we built and design our track we built it so everybody could ride it. Kids on 50cc up to the local pro could ride with no problem.
  18. Hey John. Where did you get the Jackie puppet video?
  19. My dad and I built a track behind my parents house. We let alot of people sign up and ride. Had over 500 people signed up. Then some dumbass kids went riding were they should not have been and got caught. Needless to say the township came in and shut us down. So just a word of advice watch who you let ride and keep the amount of people to a minium. Also if you live around any AMA races go and ask for an insurance waiver form. Get EVERYBODY to sign it. You and your wife included. If you cant find one PM me and I can see if I can maybe email you one. It was a nice track. Took about 1 minute and 20 seconds to go around with a local pro on a 250. Had three table top, a rythem section a couple doubles, and an up hill double. The big jump was a 80' table top that only three people cleared. My brother and I are working on getting the track back up and running though. PS: DO NOT charge money, ask for donations. Charging money = Buisness
  20. Those 34 are way too big if you dont have any porting. Did you take it out yet and ride it? If so what was it doing?
  21. Is it not running right? Did you build it or did you buy it like this?
  22. Turn the air screws all the way in(clockwise) then turn them back out 1 and 1/2 turns (counterclockwise). Make sure you turn both carbs the same amount. Then adjust them from there. Once again make sure you make the same adjustments on both carbs. Another thing to check is that your carbs are snyched. That means that your carb slides move at the same time.
  23. Unplug it. What its designed to do is shut the bike down if the throttle sticks. Alot of times it just screws up and causes lots of headaches. Make sure you unplug the TORS brain not just the carb wires.
  24. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html Here is a good article about jetting
  25. Your main jet controls your 3/4 to full throttle. For idle and starting you have to adjust your air screw. If adjusting your air screw dosnt work you have to change your pilot jet. You can not run a stock air filter without the air box lid. There is a cylmers manual on here. I think its in the repair and mod section.
