  1. Cool thanks alot
  2. Can anyone help?
  3. Can anybody tell me what the float height should be on 33 PWK's. Thanks for the help in advance
  4. Also, when you are doing a topend having a torque wrench insures that the nuts are evenly tightened down. If the nuts on the head are not evenly tightened it could warp the head. Then there are things like your flywheel. The crank shaft is tapered for the flywheel and if you dont torque it correctly the flywheel wont set right and it could sheer your woodruff key
  5. It is very important. Go spend the money on a decent torque wrench. Its better to spend a little money on a torque wrench then alot on broken parts because they were not torqued right
  6. I'm not 100% sure but I dont think so. I'm pretty sure they are different
  7. Now I'm going to have to buy three sets so I can sell you a set for profit
  8. Dude he just saying that it is better to be a little rich then a little lean. Being rich wont blow your motor but being lean will. You always start rich and work back down. We all know that jetting correctly is the best thing
  9. They are good prices for new carbs. If I had some money I'd buy a set of 33 to sit on until I build my motor
  10. FAST is running a killer deal on carbs man check it out
  11. Actually Artic Cat made a sled for the dessert back in the 70's. I forget what it was called but all they did was put wheels on the front instead of skis.
  12. Cool thanks man. Might have to try it out. I have everthing but the leather jacket. Wish I could find a set of tires though
  13. You can run dirt tires? About what does it cost to run?
  14. I was going to try marking out 50' lines on the road and do like the cops do and time it between the two lines. You are right about the reference point in the video. I didnt ride it or take the video so I might be a little off. The only reason I said about the 300' is that I had the field surveyed for a subdivision and from were the person is standing to the blue barn is 506' and one day I got bored and tried measuring out a 300 foot drag so I know about were 300' is. Thats why I put the abouts in there and its between this time and this time. Also like I said its on a down hill, if I was coming the other way yeah no way I could hit that speed. Hey NYUK, I would love to go up to Maple Grove or down to Atco for some shits and giggles but I dont have any street tires to run. also I know if I did that I would get hooked and have to start building drag bikes and quads
  15. Loco does know his shit and he is a hell of a rider but the cocky thing gets a little old man. Loco, you jump down guys throats right away some times and it that they just dont know. That coal/shale stuff is wicked stuff its like nothing else you will ever ride. Some times it like sand, some times like mud, some times like a clay, and some times like hard pack with a lose top. And the thing that kills you is that you will have all types within a couple feet of each other. Just dont think you can go into someone elses house and think you can beat them man. Like the coal hill boys I've been riding that crap for years with alot of AMA harescrambles in there and I still dont know how the bike is going to handle from turn to turn. That coal is just wicked stuff man
  16. Just checked the gearing calculater. With my gearing and 22 inch tires I need to get 9700 rpm to reach 92.5 mph. In the gearing thread Snop stated that the calculater is off by about 6 mph so......
  17. 15/41 gearing I know it dosent look like 90 but if you see the car coming the other way that is about 50 MPH to give a little perspective. Also it is on a down grade so that helps a little. Does anybody know the top speed of 2007 Rapter? Because I beat one flat out just tapping into 5th. I figuered I would post it up before someone found it on YOUTUBE and started talking ish before I could explain
  18. Ok I'm sure I'm going to catch grief for this video so go ahead and blast me if you want. But before you guys rail me too hard let me explain how I figured out the speed. I know how far 300 feet is from were the person is standing and 300 feet is covered in 2~2.2 seconds Now I put it into a speed calculator and it came out to 92.3~100 MPH So here is the video let the bashing begin: Here is the calculator that I used to double check my math: http://www.gazza.co.nz/distance.html
  19. Thats why I'm asking around about VPE's work. When I got the suspension done the price was right and he did a great job. It would be great if we could get a motor form each builder and run them against each other. Like say we have each one build a 4mil stock cylinder motor and put it in a stock frame with a +4 swinger. Just do it for shits and giggles
  20. If they weren't good guys they would not have the rep that they have on here. I was just wondering if any body had work done by VPE to see if they liked it or not. On the web site it said 700 for stage I porting and 1200 for stage II porting. Now what kind of porting that is I dont know but I know I can get a 4mil built by Kevin for less then the stage II porting by VPE
  21. Yeah I've been reading that post. I had my forks and shock on my YZ426F revalved by them and I know a bunch of guys that get work done by him. Was just wondering if anybody on here has gotting anything done by VPE. I checked his prices and he is twice as much as Kevin and Jeff so I was looking to see if the results were worth the money
  22. If you turn them inside out. Stock is 3/2. Imagine looking down on top of the wheel and seeing were the wheel center is in relation to the center of the wheel. If you have a 5 inch wheel center would be 2.5 inches. 3/2 makes it 2 inches on the outside of the rim(the side you see) 3 inches on the inside of the rim(the side you dont see) 4/1 moves the center futher to the outside so you have 1 inch on the outside and 4 inches to the inside. So a 3/2 would be wider then an 4/1 unless you flip the 4/1 around
  23. There is a local builder in my area that alot of local racers swear by. I was just wondering if anybody has heard of them or has used them.
  24. 4/1 is 4inch on the inside 1 inch on the outside. 3/2 is 3 inches on the inside 2 inches on the outside.
  25. What kind of tires? If you want traction go with a minus swing arm but then you will be standing the thing up alot
