  1. First off look closely at the design. Notice anything? Don't nose your Shee on a jump whaterver you do!
  2. Pretty much learned all I could using the search feature to figure out the right setup for what I do with the Shee. If I couldn't find it someone would reply in the general forum. Really, this is one of the better message boards I have seen period.
  3. Yeah....I'm running lidless for that very reason. When we went to Badlands Jugriggs hit a puddle fast and it stalled his bike and he had pods on it. The box is not as good performance wise as pods, but for various conditions involving water I can't see a better way to do it than leave the box without the lid.
  4. ROFL!! Dude, I am laughing hard seeing that! Looks like someone left it underwater for a while. I've seen better looking boat anchors unpainted. I feel bad for the guy getting it shipped to him in an unprotected box and now the case cracked.
  5. right....25 pilots air screws 1 1/4 out. Needle on middle setting. It could be a fuel problem as it doesn't seem to be burning, just not sure. I didn't think going from a 200 to a 240 would flood it and not let it at least start. Using Yamalube with 98 octane.
  6. Pulled the TORS completely out and rejetted for air lid removal. Went from a 200 to a 240 and it fires but the plugs are soaking wet. Fucking thing is pissing me off. Anyone have trouble like this after fooling with junk Mikuni carbs?
  7. The YFZ is different from the Banshee but still a blast to ride. I think they are the best 4 stroker made myself.
  8. From what I've seen the Wicked arms are a good value. They put on super-duty ball joints and good quality bushings. They come complete with the heavier duty tie rods and the powder coating is pretty solid. You can find the kits on Ebay for about $400. Oh....and welcome to HQ!!
  9. Why not find someone to trade up with?
  10. I run a Pro Armor unit. Due to woods riding I need one. Pro Armor Front Bumper
  11. This winter my Banshee is going to kick start the economy too!! I have an '06 too and I love it. I got a pic of it bone stock when I bought it. I'm selling that RM off to buy more stuff for this one.
  12. I know this would be dirty but the ad can be disputed. In the description it is advertised as 4 wheel drive. Banshees are two wheel drive. You could enter and contest the ad playing dumb because you thought it had 4 wheel drive as the ad stated it had. (It says it in the "features" box. Dirty yes I know, but.......
  13. Welcome to the world of TORQUE. Enjoy your stay, and keep those valves adjusted.
  14. Only a 360 cc four stroke. For putting around I would say its a deal with all he is throwing into this deal. Upstate NY has strict laws about quads on the roads, but I lived in Old Forge NY for a few years and if you had a sticker on something like that no one would care. I'd go 3K but no higher.
  15. I just go out and start mine everyday. We get winter, but not like an Upstate NY winter.
  16. The SE models are pretty sweet. Sure, I'd get it if I could.
  17. I hate seeing people like this operating like they don't ever get caught. Glad to know this. I'll be sure to ignore his listings now.
  18. Looking over what has been done to the motor I bet that thing hauls some serious ass.
  19. Get some body parts for that thing!
  20. This question has a lot of dimensions to it. Already covered but what kind of riding are we talking about? A dune rider would give the Shee an advantage as it was designed for that even with 20 year old technology a few hundred bucks in engine mods and a few hundred in suspension goodies and you are competitive at least. If we are talking MX, forget it. The YFZ will dominate you. End of story. It will take more than a few hundred bucks to turn your Shee into a competitive MXer. Why even try when you can find a good used YFZ for half the cost as the mods plus the Shee would be. If you are talking trail riding then the gap widens out a lot because the YFZ has torque to begin with and that is what gets you through the tough times. I knew most of this before I bought my Shee from what others told me and from riding friend's quads to see and I still bought a Banshee knowing what I know. The FUN Factor on a Shee can't be bought. It comes standard. Two strokes are a rush to ride.
  21. Go here for your specs: Pro Circuit Jetting Specs
  22. My oldest son has that. He can't ride with me anymore. Its nothing to fool around with and can't blame you a bit for giving it up. My second oldest son pretty much inherited his bike but I hope he stays healthy.
  23. I went and got the actual kit that gives you a new cable, carb caps and idle screws. Going to put it on this weekend and re-jet the machine for air box removal. Should be fun!
  24. Hi there! Welcome!
