  1. I wonder if that would work? Walk up to someone at a trail event and claim he has MY quad. No proof, just that it was mine and got stolen.
  2. Buy a manual for your buggie. Take it to the dealer if you don't have a specific tool and KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO DO. That is the only time I take it to a dealer, also I let the local one who has a dyno tune my bikes when I do something that requires jetting changes and I need it setup right. Its worth the 150 bucks to me for that, but most everything else I have learned on my own. (yes, you'll make mistakes, but their is a lot of experience that posts on this website that can be the voice of reason to get you on your way) Learn to do it yourself. You'll know it was done right, and you get the satisfaction of accomplishing what looked to be a big deal.
  3. I leave the the key in the ignition in mine when I park it. If a thief wants something bad enough, a key is about a 30 second inconvenience.
  4. The RZ motor is a true racing engine. I wouldn't let it go for less than 1500 USD if it is complete and running. Since the engine is orphaned, you can try doing some cool projects with it like mounting it into a go kart if you wanted to.
  5. Damn! That looks killer. Sure you want to mount those on a dirt machine?
  6. You'll get more top end out of it with those. Make sure you jet the carbs right. Usually you have to lean them out a little to get into a nice powercurve. I have run Rad Valves on many dirt bikes and love them.
  7. I wouldn't do it. I get leary of any deal when I'm told they don't know much about it.
  8. Get the turbo effect with that setup.
  9. Yep. Jugriggs can be seen there too on occasion. Let me know when you want to go and we can rip it up if you want.
  10. I used to restore vintage bikes. The hobby is getting expensive now, but I still have an 88 HRC (Honda's factory racing bike) CR125 I take to Haspin these days so my son can ride the Banshee since the CR will kill him. The TTs were great machines and fairly reliable. Nice find.
  11. Sunoco race fuel mixed at 28:1 is what a guy who worked for Evinrude told me is the best setup for a racing type engine. The higher oil mix keeps the rings seated properly. Problem with race fuel though is that it costs some money to buy so I use Shell 93 as a substitute.
  12. I have an aftermarket skid plate with a much better chain guard. That tells me its necessary to have it. Mine also protects the sprocket from rock damage.
  13. I needs me some front shocks. How much to part with a stock pair?
  14. Got the stock front shocks still that you want to sell?
  15. I love the Badlands. I go usually once a month. You'll have a blast and won't want to leave!
  16. You can run rich all day long and only have to worry about plugs. You can only run lean a little while and swap out the motor. Rich the engine will bog some but will run. Lean the engine will surge and finally die.
  17. I usually get a kit of everything at once. It is easier and more economical.
  18. http://www.eric-gorr.com/ He is accessible by phone and is a pretty cool guy. He has done two big bore kits for me already and is about the best out there.
  19. That device is the root of all evil as far as a Banshee is concerned! You going riding Sunday?
  20. Yeah, stay on the pipe and you'll be okay. Winding it out is a normal thing and it don't hurt it a bit.
  21. Immediately strip off the stock Nerfs and fork out for some ACs or DG nerf bars. A metal radiator protector is a must. Replace the swing arm skid plate and get a solid Aluminum deal as soon as you can.
  22. I love watching idiots like this one get nailed, sadly though they don't and people get taken making harder for the honest ones to do business.
