Buy a manual for your buggie. Take it to the dealer if you don't have a specific tool and KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO DO. That is the only time I take it to a dealer, also I let the local one who has a dyno tune my bikes when I do something that requires jetting changes and I need it setup right. Its worth the 150 bucks to me for that, but most everything else I have learned on my own. (yes, you'll make mistakes, but their is a lot of experience that posts on this website that can be the voice of reason to get you on your way)
Learn to do it yourself. You'll know it was done right, and you get the satisfaction of accomplishing what looked to be a big deal.
