Stock Tires....
-
Yeah "BigRed" I think that hole in the pic is for the speedo drive on the RZ, I think it was driven off the clutch gear and runs in above the tranny right under the boss on top of the case where the RZ speedo cable bolts to.

Ther are actual adjustable castor / camber guages for checking the degress, maybe you could find someone that has one and borrow it. It probably wouldn't be worth buying one.

Yeah, I remember back in the day maybe early to mid 90's when "Dirtwheels" did an article on those things, I still have that mag somwhere...LOL. They did a shootout between a stock Banshee with a snow - quad conversion and some kind of snowmobile. They claimed the Banshee out performed the sled everywhere except deep snow and top speed. I have had friends tell me that they ran some paddle tires in the snow and they claimed their quads went really well, could imagine paddles and skis would probably do really well too.

Hey Eddy, Your a good kid. You have drastically improved your spelling since you have started, keep up the good work. Just ignore the negetive things some people may say to you and don't let them get you down, because no matter where you go, there is gonna be assholes out there. I can guarantee you Eddy that for all the people that have given you a hard time about your spelling, there is at least one or several things that they suck at really bad that most of us don't know about or point out in front of everybody to try and make them look stupid. Will these parts interchange ?
RZBansheeMan replied to oneslowbanshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
The answer is yes, and there are companies out ther that sell a weld in kit for the J-arm frame to make it accept the upper A-arms -
Your stockers are more than adequate, they are good for 60+ hp and still offer great bottom end. I personally wouldn't waste a nickel on those very expensive and silly 2:1 carb setups, you are just detuning an engine that has already been detuned by Yamaha. "Turbo" there are differences between the PWK's and the PWK AirStryker's, the PWK's have just a normal smoothe inlet to the venturi, and the AirStryker's have some lil air foil type wings that direct the incoming air over the pilots at low speed, and they also have the quad vents.

Exhaust pipe crossover? ever heard of one?
RZBansheeMan replied to quick_00's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Maybe my thinking was wrong, but I thought the crossover in the intake was there to try and keep the carbs closer to a constant velocity keeping the efficiency of the veturi's up. My thinking was for the exhaust crossover was for scavenging the exhaust flow thru the stingers, not the chambers. -
If your gonna go with a 4 mil crank, do so before the porting. Once ported for a stock stroke crank, your cylinders might not be able to be ported for the 4 mil, and yes the porting is significantly different.

Your best bet, is to paint them with some good quality, high temp flat black, and put them on E-Gay. They should sell fairly quickly then buy another set of chromes. Toomey will take them in a trade as is also, with some extra cash.

RZBansheeMan replied to banshee30705's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I highly have my doubts that his dirt tires would even stay on the rims at that speed...... :yelrotflmao: This is the message I sent him: Would you refund the money if it doesn't do the speed your claiming ?? Your making some pretty big claims about this thing !! try reading this : http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...=89015&st=0 -
What are your present mods ?

Exhaust pipe crossover? ever heard of one?
RZBansheeMan replied to quick_00's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Your probably right, I wonder if it would be worth anybodys time to maybe make one and then dyno it back to back just for shits and giggles. When I got my basket case finished I would be willing to try it, just to see if there would be anything to get excited about but that isn't going to happen anytime soon. I do have acces to a Dyno Jet free of charge to do multiple tests on though when I do get it done.... -

GO get em Dave, We know you want to, and we know you are more than capable of putting up one hella good argument.......you could probably cut his 135 down to 85 - 90  -
Exhaust pipe crossover? ever heard of one?
RZBansheeMan replied to quick_00's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I've often wondered the same thing, I know that a good performance exhaust system on a vehicle would have a "X" - Pipe and that is for exhaust scavenging, but also wondered what would happen on the Banshee if the stingers were made into an "X" - Pipe ??? -
e-bay 135 mph banshee , yeah right
RZBansheeMan replied to banshee30705's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I'm sure those stock carbs make enough power to make that thing go a 135 scale MPH........... :geek: -
Yeah, that sounds about right for "redneck" gatherings along with: summer teeth ( summer on top and summer on bottom ) huge beer bellies super mullets and or skullets lots of "Yee Hawww-ing" bra-less chicks with their FUPA's losts of busch light :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:

In that kind of weather, I would strongly suggest taking it into a heated garage of sorts and letting that bitch warm up some first....... :geek:

I think shearer can custom make some inframes with straight stinger tubes, without silencers.
-
I live in Mt. Pleasant and would be willing to help if you need, but I think it is something you certainly could do yourself. These engines are very simple in design, maybe that's why Yamaha has used the same basic design since the 70's........
-
I hope you get your parts and everything works out... Seems like there's always somebody out there trying to jew people out of money, parts or whatever. It's quite sad.
-
E-Gay.. :geek:

I'm still in the process of building mine, been too long of a project, due to a few hardships. I am however planing on finishing the motor this year, I'm very stoked.....
