  3. anyone have any of this for a good deal? i just wrecked haha
  4. Okay, so ever since riding my friends ltr450 I have been wanting to try 18's on the banshee, anyone else have pros and cons on them. I ride trails and only thing im worried about is that they are 2 ply and the loss of some clearance, but I have a feeling it will rip a little quicker opinions...
  5. to me that just sounds like the echo of the airbox lid not on... sounds fine to me, maybe, if it responds poorly lean your airscrews out, but if you put your lid back on ill bet you dont hear that deep blurp plus, depending on your elevation and mods I would guess that your pilots may be too big, but Im not a banshee expert just trying to help cause Ive been there.
  6. no idea what the hell factory uses, but i first bought some klotz lube and its gummy and not so good. my bro bought some maxima lube and I think its the best Ive used yet. It dont gum up but keeps a nice lubricant on the chain
  7. wow, my power just went out! So... I put Sta-bil in my almost empty tank and it woke right up. Man I had an awesome explanation before the f'ing power went out. anyway cant remember where i was now.... turns out it was shitty gas. and on a side note, if you live in shitty little town with one gas station like me, take the time to maybe drive the extra miles to get good/reliable gas.. thanks though guys for all the input... I dont have a lot of time to work on my bike, let alone ride it.
  8. Ok, so thanks for the input, but Im pretty sure it was bad gas. Now here is my explanation: when I went riding (the same day I noticed how shitty it was running) mind you, it was extremely humid out, I just discarded the problems due to that and wetness. t
  9. brand new reeds installed correctly, carbs are clean as a whistle (i know dirt could still be in there), no leaking antifreeze. no idea what you mean with the piston, but I would think it would affect performance everywhere if it was a piston problem?
  10. I am using an outerwear, but I just cleaned it well, and it was only on its 2nd use. Also, it ran fine with the old one before, the filter is completely clean and it still did it when I ran with no filter at all.
  11. that is my next thing im going to check. its 93 mixed properly, but i guess there is rumors going around town about our station having shitty gas. say for example i paid for 93 but got 87, would this cause my problem? I am really hoping this is it. It dont seem like it could be anything else. I mean, i would be floored if there was dirt in my carbs because I keep it real clean and sealed up good too.
  12. the mains are 280 and they have always been fine in the hotter weather. yes it revs and the tors is removed. i just switched plugs and no change....
  13. this weekend I took the bike out. and it was very humid out, so I thought that and a minimally dirty air filter were my problem. I lost to a lt450r in drags and I knew something was up (mainly cause I always stomped him). well, I just discarded it all and blamed it on the humidity. now, two days later i get it out, clean it, clean the air filter, tighten the chain, etc. and take it for a spin. When I get on the gas its weak as hell. The top end acts like it has a rev limiter on it. It falls flat on its face basically through the whole rev though. The bottom and idle feel really boggy and un responsive. Now heres the specs 2004 on the stock bore and pistons (which im hoping you guys will say it prob needs rings) 2 into 1 toomey filter, t5's, +4 timing and thats it. Im a weekend rider and dont even go every weekend. Had the bike for almost 3 years. .. 2nd owner. anyone with any ideas?
  14. all the screws are exactly the same. I am pretty sure it is rubber tipped. Plugs look totally fine and I didnt replace anything in it. Even when its idling and I tilt it to the side it starts to bog down really bad and sometimes almost stalls. then it goes back to normal after a throttle blurp or waiting like 6 seconds. Im to the point where I think something is going bad with the float valve
