  1. The newest Banshee modification of throwing your air filter away = a dumbass. I think the rest is very questionable however.
  2. I've used my old one to haul a cherry picker once maybe 50 yds, haul an s - 10 truck once about the same distance, and I've used it to pull bedsprings around a 1.5 acre yard just before planting grass seed. Also pulled the same bed springs to smoothe out the drive way which is a 1/4 mile long, never had any clutch problems though.
  3. Not really sure if I want to sell them but, if the offer was right I may part with them. The heads being spoken of are small chambered Rectangle Ports either from the 435hp 427 or the 375hp 396. They are date matched and are a real nice set of heads that have not been ported, ready to bolt on. I will post some pics tomorrow or thursday.
  4. What are the asking prices for each of the 3 bikes ???
  5. In the pics it looks more blue, but actually it's purple and yellow, LOL. I don't give a shit though  As silly as this may sound, I have rode it several times with khaki shorts on, just need to keep the legs out a bit. On the hardpack road that I tested it on it would pull real nice power wheelies in 4th gear and I'm sure in 5th with a good tug on the bars, while in a sitting position. I've been busy trying to get a bunch of landscape work done around the house, so really haven't had the time to fuck with the jetting anymore yet, but I think if I lean it out some as suggested to me by some fellow HQ'ers that it will improve things even more so. As of right now pilots are 30's mains are 330's drilled airbox with toomey filter. I also haven't had the time to trim the front fenders out yet and yes I like full fendered Banshee's, so it will only be trimmed just enough to clear the pipes, but as of now they have not melted at all or has scratched the pipes. ( the pipes were used, they do have some scratches, very minor rust, and a couple real small dings ) Thanks for all the response everyone !!!!
  6. Yeah, I'm not the hugest fan of the colors / graphics either, but what really had me sold was the fact that thing was a virgin machine, nothing has been apart til I bought it. It still has the original tires with atleast 70 -75% tread, chain / sprockets, brake pads. Coming from a mechanic's stand point, it is a rare occasion to find a 14 yr old machine that never has been molested. Mike
  7. I picked this baby up about 3 weeks ago for 2 grand. I bought it from a guy I went to highschool with, who had bought it brand new in 95. This thing was 100% stock, never been apart, still has original tires, looks like it was barely ridden and always garage kept. I took it to Silver Lake once so far, since then I put my Rockets on it and rejetted, I need to lean it back out some, but man this thing is nice. Even though it's jetted rich, with these pipes it feels like no bottom was lost, the mid to top however is awesome ! I do need to finish trimming the front fenders, so I can bolt them back into place, and trim the lower frame tabs for the stock pipes. For more pics Click Me !!!
  8. If I'm not mistaken, I think that cylinder reversal had quite a potential to make more power per the same cylinders. I think it had something to do with having a better pipe design maybe. I read something on this mod a few years ago but do not remember all the details.

  11. :yelrotflmao: Uhhhh, Your carbs are designed to be level, when you are up at a 45 or so on a wheelie the gas in your float bowls is going to run out..........
  12. Get a left carb !!!
  13. Post some pics of these bars all mounted up.
  14. You said that he put a "stroker" crank in it ??? What about the porting ?, when putting a stroker crank in a 2 stroke, they need the ports reworked to match the added stroke. Port timings are critical on a 2 stroke and if that is what he did, it is not going to run right.
  15. Ultra Fuckin' Gay !!! Yes it would be interesting to se somone wheelie that gnarly ass thing !
  16. I ran AvGas in my old Banshee for 5 years, granted the motor was stock, I ran it at 40 : 1 with HP2 never ever rebuilt that motor. The bike was a 92, and I sold it in 2001 with the original topend, still had 100 psi. AvGas is good shit !
  17. Take that sweet ass smoke kit to the drag strip ...... :yelrotflmao:
  18. I cannot believe that I just read all this crap...... :shoothead:
  19. LOL...."Know it all" Snoop Dog and all his 2:1 preaching :shoothead:
  20. I went thru the same thing, wondering about drilling the holes on the exhaust side of the piston, when I rebuilt the 1985 250r motor I had. Come to find out that the earlier 250r 3 wheeler motors "85" - "86" didn't have the exhaust bridge, I think they started that in 1987.
  21. That is awesome !!!! :yelrotflmao:
  22. Please, more pics, this is a very interesting project
  23. I would just get a "rod shortening tool"............
