The "RZ" cool head has a bolt on front water outlet, it points up like a "RZ" head does but doesn't have the thermostat housing. If I remeber correctly it has a bypass nipple and a hole to thread in a coolant temp sensor. It requires the same longer studs that a Banshee cool head uses and the same style nuts that the Banshee head uses also. Mike

I have the Pro-Design for mine, I ended up getting it from E-Gay, I think I have read on the RD/RZ forums that there was another company that made some, but couldn't remember who. One thing that is nice about the cool head is it doesn't have the thermostat housing on it. Mike

Custom ignition curve and power valve curve
RZBansheeMan replied to 4stroker's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I'm not for sure Mark, but I think Borut has 4 maps already in the VCDI. As for the power valves, I think you would want to know what rpm your pipes come on, then maybe program the valves to come on with them. I think you can change the rpm the valves start to open at and are fully open at. I could be wrong, but I would think you would want the valves fully open at the same time the pipe hits. I don't have any experience with these yet, but are on my grocery list for my project "RZ Banshee" Mike -
I'll get a pic later, but you have to hear this...
RZBansheeMan replied to CFM's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Yeah those things are rediculous, taking a 10 sec, street car motor and putting in some sort of bike thing = not a good idea. A buddy of mine has a picture of some silly ass bike with a "426" hemi in the damn thing, if I can scan and upload it, I will post a pic of that thing. -
rz 500 engine in a shee....
RZBansheeMan replied to monster_energy06's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
MacDizzy has some info on his site about a RZ 500 engine in a LT 250r frame or maybe a LT 500r frame. My only advice is do not do it, get both bikes and rebuild one good one, as stated, those bikes are very rare and when restored they are very valuable, one awesome piece of history. They are a V-4 2 stroker and you would have to have custom pipes made for a conversion like that along with all the other modifying. It would be a fairly expensive project. The motorcycle salvage yards are full of big 1000 crotch rocket engines, that are plentiful and are of lesser value than the lesser common RZ 500. It would be much more interesting to hear about a RZ 500 being restored than one being used for a hill shooter project. -
I'm 28 and rarely ever see a hangover, usually after a hard night of boozin', (Budweiser, or Bud Ice). I eat a whole bunch of food, drink a shitload of water, stay up as long as possible (to let the alcohol wear off some) get up first thing in the morning and shower and get busy, (I'll want to sleep if I don't stay busy). I'll drink a bunch of water in the morning and or Gaytorade, No hangover for me.....

This is for YOU, TurboBanshee420
RZBansheeMan replied to dajogejr's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Hey Dave, I'm not about to get into this pissing / sword fighting match, but there were some vids of this turbo quad running on youtube and it does / did exist. -
I could only imagine, with the fore mentioned mods in conjunction with the "RZ" shift forks and drum, a person would have one "kick ass" shifting transmission.

Hey there Eddy, I really respect you for, how you took all the people making fun of you (even me) and putting it in a positve direction. I also respect the fact that you started a topic telling everybody that you are working on spelling, punctuation, and grammar. So far, you have came a really long ways, Keep up the good work, but try to stay away from using the "F" word as much as you have done in the past. Mike

Someone With a stock hieght bike
RZBansheeMan replied to Bansh-eman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Hey Greg, my Banshee is setting is setting motorless so fully extended and I am coming up with 13.5" from center to center. Mike -
Atleast $ 1,500 for the crank , portwork and clutch reeds and intakes.......LOL
-
I did not know that you could use the Banshee stator & flywheel with the Zeeltronic, but I like the idea of it . The RZ stator I have came from Canada, it looks brand new, but I haven't been able to identify which yr it is, I paid maybe $ 130.00 for it shipped which was a steal, because to buy a new one here in the U.S. they are over $ 700.00 I can't wait to get my RZ together.....

I think when your coasting with the clutch in you will be idling, and if you are coasting at a good speed with your clutch pulled in, your inner clutch hub will be spinning faster that your clutch basket. When the clutch is pulled in there is pressure against the rod / ball. If you have stiffer springs there is more pressure yet, and with the inner hub spinning at a different speed than the outer clutch basket it will cause the ball to weld itself. Did you get your PV servo motor fixed yet ?

It's something I was considering, I have to wait until I can either pick up a TIG or gain access to one, and then get my hands on another stock set of Banshee cylinders. Maybe I'm silly for thinking this but, I'm willing to bet if the stock Shee cylinders and intake had a Honda layout, there could be a lot of hidden HP discovered........ :geek:
-
Yeah true, but I am more into stock cylinders, or I should say Yamaha production cylinders being these are RZ's not stock banshee. Not only that, I am not a drag racer, that stuff is too costly, serious and critical for my likeings. I am after just about the broadest motor possible for just having a blast on, and NO I will not get a big 4 stroker, it will only be some sort of Banshee / Yamaha twin.

So, I was digging thru some old shit I had in a closet full of engine parts and came across an old 1984 CR 60 cylinder from my old 60. I thought it was pretty interesting to see that the reed area is almost the size of the Banshee, just a lil' narrower and a lil' taller with some decent sized boyesen ports to compliment it. It my .02 that a Banshee engine could benefit from a "big reed" conversion and "boyesen ports". I am assuming that Yamaha designed their pistons with the windows in the back to create the same effect as what the boyesen ports did, however, imo the boyesen ports would work more effectively because they are stationary an the pistons obviously aren't, but it seems that the Banshee engine would need windowless pistons to make the boyesen ports work effectively, if they were added to the Banshee cylinders....... What do ya guys think ??

WOW ! Very interesting, Peter.

:yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: That is some funny shit that happened to you...... It happened to me too LOL more than once, I took my upper a-arms and gusseted them so they couldn't bend any more (the new ones that is).

anyone with late 80's suburban knowledge
RZBansheeMan replied to .'s topic in General Banshee Discussion
Because I always ran 15" rims, even 3/4 tons with the -2 offset, and they just stuck out too damn far. the truck was extremely wandery on our Michigan roads (they get troughs in them from the big trucks from spring thaw, and with the wheel width like I had, the tires would pull one way or another trying to climb the troughs). I like the looks of the factory rallye wheels the best on the square bodies any ways As for the tranny, LOL. I couldn't get anybody worth a FUCK that could rebuild a 700r to hold up to a healthy 400 Small Block, so I tried out a TH 350 and hated that gay thing, so I sold that. If I ever get the money to redo the truck again it will most likely get a TCI super streetfighter 700 or a Raptor 700. I'm in the process of finishing up my "462" Big block with over 500 hp that I want to put in it (just imagine the tranny problems with something like this), but will probably sell it  to pay off some debt and finish my Banshee.
