  1. I guess ive been lucky all these years thnks guys, this is a customers bike first real ride, everything was flawless didnt even have to change a jet ran perfect. I gotta do a lil clutch tuning to make it more user friendly and I might have to put a steering stabilizer in it for him
  2. No slime all brand new shit , meant for yamaha, now the axle im not sure of but I have had many bad axles come thru, this is def a wheel shake issue , goes back n forth side to side. Does anyone know acceptible runout on an axle? Yes rob this shit was fast it will toast my bike on alky
  3. Plug caps or coil
  4. This is the first time I have ever experienced this with american racers, I know the tires are growing but how do I fix it? It was smooth from launch thru 4th then just about to click 5th started to death wobble. Im thinking of high speed balancing or more air. Tires are ar 20.5/10/10 . This was with 7psi and no clutch tune yet it was maidin voyage. It spun tires for about 15ft. As it is . I can get the clutch to handle that but the wobble is terrible
  5. Plug caps installed shouldn't be more than 7.3 kohm but normal for most is around 5.5kohm,remove the caps test wire to wire when caps are installed you should get same reading get rid of the NGK caps as they add 5k rite off the bat a regular parts unlimited cap works best for me
  6. If there stubborn heat is key and a good penetrating oil, I use stud removers
  7. Threebond 1211 , I get about 15 motors out of one tube and Imo the best
  8. Exactly why I said top of dome surface , what looks good to your eye might not be good , if the threads were the end all of the sealing process they wouldnt put a compression ring on there
  9. 290 /27.5 sounds better, buy a sync tool
  10. Make sure motor is pressure tested both coolant side and crankcase
  11. Wsm forged are great pistons , about 15grams lighter than wiseco , coated , boost ported with larger windows.i never had a breakage with a wsm race piston but I also know how to assemble a motor most piston complaints of any brand is due to installer error or machining error
  12. I have seen the domes or head have small nick where the compression ring seals, stock head I was able to sand a lil domes need a mill but should just be replaced
  13. Cam your like me 75,000 projects
  14. Whats the squish at. Static comp? What kind of race fuel, I have ran similar set ups on c-14 with no issues in 300ft but stretching them out longer distances I saw faint signs of deto without a good ignition that retards timing
  15. Im never a big fan of mixing fuels, we are not chemists. 18 cc domes are alot of compression
  16. Thats actually not a diumb question I get worse than that eveyday. Get your main dialed in , wide open pulls checking plug color. Then mess with your needle where are you at now with the jetting
  17. I like zebra stripe duct tape, just stole it from my 12 yr old daughter , going out to garage now to modify my shit. Lol hose like cam said or ace hardware sells brass bushings that can easily be trimmed to fit
  18. I tried calling Jim and Gary for two sets of oofs for customer bikes , never got a response so I got brand new shearers in about 2 1/2 wks I have sold a few sets of snipers b4 and never had an issue reaching them but my guys couldn't wait.
  19. I thought your first post said finally got her set up
  20. Put those needles all the way rich and try it
  21. Do yourself a favor and get on it real good seat rings clear out assembly lube b4 you go throwing jets at it . My experience withh 33s has yeilded slightly higher main jet numbers 160-165 on duneports and my motors like a dek needle
  22. Cam did u just say u were on moly when u drilled them out.
  23. Heli coils are more user friendly to the average person I have used both time certs and heli coils both wil hold up no problem. Heli coil can be done in frame no problem , time cert I like to have jug off and in drill press or bridgport
  24. I USE same method , carbide cutter , but I chuck gear into rotary table
  25. I know every bike is diffrent but I ran quicker times with the 19-8-10 ar sd 23, less rotational mass for lil 4 mil
