  1. Also check needle type , n68a works well for stock or mild motors jjh works better on more built motor but u have CPI so shee might want a jjh off idle , make sure motor has no air leaks and electrical system is up to par otherwise u will chase your tail bad
  2. Some good some bad, I was supposed to get virgin cylinders great condition , they were beat up 64.50 had to take out to 65 mm . He did take a while to ship shit , hopefully u don't get the run around
  3. It's funny everyone thinks it will just clear out as you found out not the case def had an air leak and that backfire was a lean pop telling you please stop
  4. 90% of backfires are air leaks or lean pops
  5. If your reeds are weak it will cause extra oil to spat out exhaust, electronics not up to snuff not burning the fuel, it's shutting off when your transitioning onto the pilot circuit so either pilots are too small or raise the idle screws so it pulls 4.5-5 on the cfm guage
  6. Trail port , pistons, bore job, gaskets bout a 1000 give or take cpl hundo
  7. It's like everything else intended use of engine state of tune all play rolls , plus type of gas
  8. It's like everything else intended use of engine state of tune all play rolls , plus type of gas
  9. I built a custom full Walsh 450r about 2 yrs ago with a baldwin racing engine bike handled fucking amazing I would go Walsh if u can if not fireball makes some pretty bullet proof shit
  10. Irratic idle is either air leak or pilot too small, 33/35 mil pwk is what I would run 33s more trail orientated , the Athens set up I built was a 4 mil with 35s and shearers , it ran damn good with a lil port/flo work
  11. I just installed this unit for a customer, nice unit only thing I see I didn't like was the insert is held in by epoxy , is it gonna go anywhere , no. I did have to tweak brake lever a lil
  12. With my porting 33s like a dek needle 4 th clip , my drag port takes a 50 pilot 172-175 main . There is a fine line between a lean bog and a rich gurgle. With a drag port those pipes might not be helping you out much , my limit for t-5s is like 194* of exhaust timing , you need to pipe to port
  13. I did a n down pro mod for oldskool on her first time I ever did a non override n down you can maybe get his opinion on it but it can be done , cam does a good job , my turn around not so good this time of year , I'm swamped
  14. I used angle tipped carbide snomo studs , hooked up fucking amazing , the track made us put in sheet metal or equal heel guards for protection
  15. Is it ported
  16. It sure does sound like a head gasket, drain coolant and pressure test coolant system. A lot of people take for granted how clean everything needs to be on a reassemble.chrck cylinder tops and head for grooves caused by previous gasket installs. I glass bead all surfaces it really gives a uniform finish and enables u to really see wtf is going on. Everytime I do anything to an engine I change water pump seal and check pump and gear . Stop driving it like that ide be really suprised if the piston skirts didn't collapse or have scoring on cyl walls
  17. I had a set of realtors cut up and snowmobile studded for dirt drags 300 ft also ran Cheng sheng cheapies cut up with ice screw s in them , neither were cheap are you dragging or just messing around
  18. I use wsm race Pistons on all my race engines I don't have a dyno but I feel the diffrence in throttle response and rev Pistons are like 11 grams or 14 lighter than wiseco last I weighed them was years ago I have been using them at least for 5 years with no major problems other than normal shit that wisecos would have blew also
  19. I have ported one and tuned , it ran fine with trinity stage 4 pipes 33 pwks on 100 octane race fuel . I have not tuned it in stock platform . On all honesty the cylinder is not that bad , not as good as cp cylindr but not terrible with a lol work
