  1. I likee nice shit
  2. I'll get a pick later, when I empty the garage a site member borrowed my enclosed so all my shit is sprayed all over rite now
  3. Post a plug chop pic on that main
  4. I was just about to say that bitch is lean , that set up round me would be at least 172-178 range on a perfect chop but av gas does have a different gravity than my usual vp I'm no expert with and I'm not a big fan. Pilot usually 50-55 depending on porting and reeds, dgh usually tunes out fine for me but I have used cel on more dun able set ups
  5. That was my first lol I've come a long way lol, that brings back some memories
  6. Looks great nice build
  7. I was actually hoping he would take me up on offer, and I tried not to be a dick over it. Seemed like fun even if he made more power, if incase he does go the LS event I'll send a bike down someone else will have to drive it
  8. Your rite bro , don't know why I wasted my time, twenty minutes of typing I'll never get back.
  9. I knew nothing when I joined this site I took the information learned and ran with it . I think I speak for most of us when I say we all have day jobs . I can't quit my day job either but I sure would have made time to see what your made of. It's cold here too,how much of a wrencher could u be if your shop doesn't have heat in it . Winter time is my busiest time with porting and motor builds . Either way let me know I'll be changing parts till your ready
  10. T faith this is why if u look in the sponsor spotlight I called registered user out to a build off or whatever ,he can name build dynamics even if he wanted to just port a set of cylinders and send them to someone to dyno I'm in or do a whole motor. I have a hard time with someone speaking in a gospel type manor about engine porting especially with no proof . Hey he might make more power than me . I wanted to do a documented build like press crank together yourself since he is rod expert should be no biggie , limit port duration numbers so technique comes into play , stock head or cool head either will work for me ship it to be dynoed I'm sure a site sponsor would hook us up . Now I'm no expert on porting or theory or rods but I'm willing to stick my neck out .
  11. Shit was a runner
  12. Rob I did change a few things like blow down timing and case work but none the less I'm pissed I gave that thing away for a 1k
  13. My parts changing ass is willing to do a build off against a porting and tuning god such as yourself . You pick the motor size and duration limits and fuel let's see u put your money where your mouth is keep in mind I'm no porting expert . Build must be documented and start with virgin porting
  14. No prob
  15. Hell yeh cam I can't beleive this guy owns a jet ski performance shop and had no idea what they were , he was in desperate need of pills and I wanted tools win win for me. I ordered shims for valve springs they come in a variety of sizes . I don't think it's that hard either nor do I plan on doing it to make a ton of money but it's nice to have and knowing the guy who had the crank jigs before him it was worth it
  16. I have installed quick connects from the sled shop on a few customer bikes, then use a 12 v bilge pump from a boat to pump water out of a cooler . I don't personally run this but have set up a few bikes in the past. Something about pumping ice cold water through a hot engine always rubbed me the wrong way but I'll do whatever a customer wants
  17. U need to pressure test it what are motor specs and carb specs on alky , could be a few things . Electronics , carb sync, jetting
  18. Getting everything apart is the most time u bring me the swinger if it doesn't work out merry christmas
  19. No lol
  20. Check squish plus u need to seat the ring, run it check it again. Static compression doesn't tell u everything on a running motor it's a service interval tool.
  21. As far as rods go I have never had a single rod failure stock or hotrods it just depends on assembly , tune, setup. As far as using superior rods I'm not sold . Are there better option I'm sure there are I know a cpl . The first thing that comes to mind is "the wheel is round for a reason"
  22. It depends really some pistons are bigger than others in same bore size , still need to be checked with a bore guage for outta round I have a few sample pistons I keep new for measuring purposes let me know if u need assistance
  23. If u pay for shipping I'll take em out n put em back in free
