  1. You live 45 min from me bring it by I have alot of parts and 1000s of dollars in test equipment,I would be willing to help you no prob, could be something stupid just without it in front of me its hard to diagnose
  2. What are the specs of the bike,I have personally found those carbs to run big pilots like 55s so i dont think your that far off ,I have also went as low as a 140 main jet in a ported motor .My advise is to start lowering the main one step at a time, leave the pilot ciciut till you get the main dialed in.Once top end is good adjust your midrange with the needle, then touch the pilot circuit for good idle and responce. They take kein long jets(hex)same as pwks.Dial it in for temp now,I usually have to lean one step in the summer months.Remember one thing at a time, too much at once will leave you not knowing what really made a diffrence. If your fouling plugs also check your plug caps and spark,They will def play a role,Ohm out your caps the rite way like a manual shows, you will chase your tale with jetting if your ignition is not up to par
  3. Everyone else has me beat ,whats left to say?I sent him money,he shipped next day available and cause im close I got it in 2 days good shit bro thanks
  4. x4,every bike sent out has one not one return yet
  5. You made one golden error ,you should have pressure tested it before you just tore into it,rule out your air leak then you move on to carbs/ignition.Lean jetting will gve you tell tale signs before you melt down. You just need an ear for it
  6. Thats just not true ,there are many variables .Did you put the carbs on?Did you do a compression test after she was together?I have put together motors with 22cc domes that kick 180 due to milling error or something but I knew before I started it.22+2 means 22ccs +2mm cut out for piston travel and should be fine on 93 pump but start lowering octane especially gas at a station with who knows what octane your getting ,a lil timing and boom.If he said 93 i would have stuck with it.Jeffs a good guy and very anal too im sure if its his problem he will fix it
  7. Thats way fat though
  8. Farmingdale Ha,I ride in the street over by allen blvd at night,we drag and tune for the track there im going out there sat night let me know
  9. Fast has them my jj/a axle has a honda hub as do most asphaulters
  10. I have heard of trannies getting hurt on start up,first start on a fresh build if you didnt get enouph assembly lube on everything will squeek,Its probably a bushing or 5th gear pinion.Next time start the bike in 1st gear clutch in for the first minute then put it in nuetral. Its not uncommon what happened though most never have a problem
  11. If you running an asphault bike you dont really want that size dome,Im at sea level also. You want to be in the 165-170 psi range so you can play with the timing a lil without fighting itself on the big end.If you didnt get carbs go rite for 39mm pwks.Im running 21cc domes on a drag ported 421 at sea level ,reed stuffers,39s,shearer oofs,c-12.On asphault your stringing these things out for distance imo billet bowls are a must.Another good addition is a lockout it enables you to set it up for killer 60ft times,Tires tires tires,American racer sd23 compound 20-8-10.
  12. Pressure test before teardown is a must, otherwise your just guessing if it was a leak,It tells you alot
  13. I tried a 42 mm jet ski carb on a 2-1 it ran awsome,The best part about it was adjusting it diffrent screws for low/mid/top.My boy is a jet ski guru so i had help but a fuel pump/drill the intake for a pulse and i was set.I was even able to set the pop off pressure which is pretty kool to me
  14. dave has more experiance than me but im almost certain you will need new cylinders due to port castings, your durations would be too high to work .Im also pretty sure a 10mil is 68mm pistons at least the one i seen was.Deck heights are also diffrent
  15. I would go with the 22s from a gearing standpiont but you still might run out
  16. what kind of tires do I need
  17. You need a project blaster right sid pipe(drag)also if its a newer style axle you can put a banshee sprocket hub(4 pronge) on there to give you more gearing
  18. I would start out 165,48 33s seem to jet higher for me might end up lower but be safe
  19. my shit was crisp, drop the mains a lil
  20. Dont worry, that wire is not used on certain year bikes, you probably have a stator from a newer year, its an ignition safety wire
  21. All of you will chase the jetting if your electronics are not up to par,you would be amazed toosee some of the harness(nicked wires)stator, coil, flywheel problems i have found over the years in every case the bike ran just had symptoms like yours.Especilly the guy that cant go any leaner on the pilot, tell tale sign.Grounding is key,a contiunity test does a world of good along with an ohm meter to test components.I would strip the tape off the entire harness out of the machine, make sure the TORS wiring was dead ended correctly, then go over it.The harness is the veins of the electrical system a little clog cause weird shit to happen,a lil condinsation at night a little nick a little voltage drain.Im very anal but peice of mind is key. Then start process of elimination
  22. With the air lid off 290main,27.5 pilot, needle in the middle to start with lid on 260-270main Start there should be close just buy one main size in either direction
