  2. hey guys, i got a ktm 50 sxr believe its a 96, its in great shape with almost new tires, dyno port pipe, um aluminum airbox, fullsize renthal bars, new chain, and the motor just had all new seals gaskets and bearings installed with less than 2 hours on them now. everything on the bike works perfect andit runs great. if anyone is interested i can email pics to ya, im looking for 300 for the bike and 80 shipping to anywhere in the US. i also for another 40 bucks will throw in a complete spare top end, head, cylinder/jug and piston with less than 5 hours on them. its in NC if you want to pic it up or come take a look, thanks
  3. its the red tape on the kick start that makes it a jem
  4. turn your compression adjuster to the right and it will be harder to compress your shock keep slowly adjusting it till it no longer does that
  5. use the spring adjuster to set your ride height where you want it, if you are bottoming out then you adjust that by the compresson adjuster not the spring
  6. ya i got the same problem, i jsut take my air tank when i go riding
  7. itll run with no oil to, but not for long
  8. if you want it to go boom then save some cash and use it, its made for outboards for a reason. they have a constant supply of cold water cooling them, your bike dont.
  9. its pretty easy once you get your pipes off you can see what all else needs to come off.
  10. send it back for sure
  11. sounds like he either got screwd and didnt know it or he really screwed you
  12. i run 108 and ive had it sit for at least a month before and it still worked good

  14. there is a companay called "atv line" all you need is the vin, you can get there number off the net , i used to go through them it was like 300 somthin a year but it was just like car insurance, it covered everything from theft to if i wraped it around a tree, the payments are broke into four payments throughout the year, the fist is the biggest and the other three are the same.
  15. how much did it cost ya do do it???
  16. make sure both slides are even and and start to move at the same time, make sure your air and idle screws are set the same also
  17. the longer you hold on to that the more it will be worth!!
  18. make sure both carbs are in sync and adjusted the same
  19. did you put the slides back in the correct carbs when you put the throttle cable in, that would cause your problem, i bet your shifter side pipe is smokin and your brake side is not and cold, if so take them back apart and put the slide in the right carb
  20. how is everything else, is the hoop or anything else bent?? im also in nc
  21. i bet he bought the pink power band too!!!
  22. how bout you give any builder/ race team or anyone else intellegent a call and ask them about brake lines, if the line swells you loose pressure to the caliper, instead of the pressure pushing on the piston the pressure is expanding the brake line, if the brake line cannot expand there is no pressure loss to the piston and therefore more clamping force is apllied and thus you stop quicker, here is a easy example, take a 1 foot long 1/4 inch metal tube and a 1 ft long ballon they make the animals out of, plug the end of the metal tube and try and blow in it, then blow in the ballon, the balloon swells just like the stock rubber brake line. it would take alot more air to put the same amount of pressure in that ballon than the metal line, dont know if you understand all this but due yourself a favor and use the internet and due some research
  23. ya all need to ship me some fuel, im paying 5.75 for torco 108
