  1. you cant get quad rates for the banshee, even in long travel (which is acutally just a longer shock to alow more springs and better valveing, the wheel travel is the same) its only long enough for a triple rate, call elka they can explain better. heres a pic of mine with the "long travel" front end with tripple rate elkas
  2. ive also heard you cant race motocross on a banshee, but im so far ahead of them its hard to hear exactly what they are saying
  3. money can be spent alot better on other things
  4. had stockers, they suck, then i bought some works pro series tripple rates with rezzys, and they were great, sold them needed some cash and ran some ohlins, not to impressed, then i got my elkas and cant imagine anyone could do better
  5. well that sucks about the long travel set up, i gota lonestar and mine has the brace on the bolt tube also. so much for geting that set up i guess, are you sure it wont work with your stock swiniger? i have seen pics of guys with them on.
  6. i got a -1 lonestar swinger its powdercoated silver vein, i love it paid out the ass for it, but i still love it, corners and hooks up way better.
  7. my bad 8oz of gloss black is 8.99, so even if you put a HALF POUND of powder on your swingarm its still only 9 bucks worth of powder. plus business buy in bulk and the larger quanity you buy the better deal you get, if you buy 50lbs of black it might only break down to 2 or 3 bucks for 8oz. http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/product...p;iProductID=19
  8. when steeing your jettingyou have to startat the top and work your way down, (mains then needles, then pilots and air screws) as everything above will affect everything below, so get a 300 or 310 in your main and ride it, if its runs great from 3/4 to full then your main is good but do a plugchop to check, then go to your midrange, that is adusted byyour needles, then go adjust your pilots, with your mods i would bet that a 300 main, stock needles with the clip in the center slot, and the stock pilots with the air screws about 2.5 turns out would be damn close if not perfect.
  9. ya it might be the ittle nub below the one you have circled, but either way the brass pin is on the oposite side of the idles adjust screws if you have them installed.
  10. 8 oz of gloss black is like 12 bucks or so, does it take 8 oz to do a swingarm, no, so about 5 bucks worth of powder, once its clean how long does it take take to shoot it, ok ya more than 5 min, maybe 10, if you include the time to stick it in the oven. either way the most time consuming part is the prep work
  11. it depends on how much prep work they need to do, once its preped it will take them about 5 min and about 5 bucks worth of powder and then stick it in the oven, hell if you lived close enough you could come over and id do it all for ya for 20 or so depending on what all needed cleaned up ( needs to be bare and clean as a bone inside and out) but you dont live close enough, call around i bet you can geta lot better deal than that
  12. no, that is the wrong side of the carb, it is on the other side, what you are showing is where you drill out to install the idle adjustment screws after removing the tors caps
  13. no, on the inside of the slide bore, there is a grove cut in your slide for the tit to go into, if you dont have to line up your slide to get it into the bore than the tit is gone.
  14. i dont remember if they are rebuildable but i know TCS sells dual or tripple rate spring kits for them and i believe they can rebuild them also.
  15. your way lean on top with those mods and 50 deg out, need to be probally at least a 300 main with those mods and maybe a 310 with it being that cold
  16. ITS ALIVE!!! is was the stupid coil. ::
  17. look like you really really need to get some tires on that thing, if your running those stockers your just probally just spinning and not going. get ya some good tires so you can hook up and get that power to the ground
  18. here on the coast off nc we got a ton off tracks, ccmx, halfmoon, hawbranch, trazack, ncmp, jmp, tuscarora, as well a a few others, best part is there all within a hour or two, im in like the sweet spot off mx racing. theres losts more also. i forget whare but you can do a track search by state somewhere
  19. not yet, still witing for it to get here. hopefully it will come today, my luck it wont fix it though
  20. you can race the banshee, jsut gota get it set up right, which unfortunallty costs a bit but well worth it
  21. thanks for the offers guys! i have a new coil on the way should be here hopefully by sat. if that doesent fix it then i will have to go with the stator and harness possibly even thought my stator tested tested fine it may still be shoot, thanks again guys
  22. im reading .6 on the primary and i cant get it to read anything on the secondary with or withiout the caps on the wires. seems bad just cause of the primary reading but would it still run like this?? check my other post ( missing in midrange) for the problem im having, thanks oh ya coil read fine
