  1. when i put my -1 on i lost 4 links
  2. the elka linkage requres a longer than stock rear shock
  3. a good setting for them is setting on a shelf, sell them and use the money to get you some shocks made for your bike, a ams, riding style, weght, blah blah blah, for what you can get for them on ebay you can probally get a set of works built and be way better off
  4. i had a 88 with a 92 motor, miss that thing, if i remember correclty it was cheaper to buy a new crank then to rebuild the old one, or it was only a little more for a new one
  5. i run one, def worth it if not just for the added air flow but it catches most everything before getting to your main filter, 2 filters is cheap insurance against dirt and sand in your cylinder
  6. when in doubt gas it
  7. itll cost ya more than 3000 just on suspension alone, but its worth it!!!!
  8. the small top spring is the ssd spring( self saging device) it alows the bike to sit low and still maintain full travel, remember that the spring is mainly to hold the bike up and the ride qulity is based on the valving of the shock, so while your on the gound it sitn low but when you jump the shock fully extends and gives you full travel when you land
  9. if its still available ill trade ya s set of stockers pm me if interested
  10. i have a -1 lonestar and love it, i was always hesitant about going shorter but im glad i did
  11. my with asks me that everytime i buy something
  12. i have elka long travel shocks and laegers arms
  13. i change mine about once a year usually in the springwhen i do alot of maintainance
  14. take 2 large hose clamps and put one one each side and run them arond about 4 or 5 coils, as you crank the hose clamps down they will squeeze the coils together and give you enough room to clamp something on the shaft, presto the $1.50 spring compressors
  15. you have to hold the shock shaft with some vice grips with some rubber or other material to keep the vice grips from scoring the shock shaft then you unscrew the mount off of the shaft
