  1. very well could be the silencers, i would start at a 300 main though if your not running the lid, the needle will either end up where you got it or you might have to move it up to the third clip if its a little boggy in the midrange, but youll probally be a little lean up top with no lid and a 280, better to start a little rich then lean
  2. list everything you have done to the bike, then we can get ya close on your jetting and your gap should be 28 to 32
  3. ok so since i am the last 2 stroke rider in my area i have no one else with a banshee to swap parts with, think my problem is electrical so im looking for a chaep working coil, stator, cdi box so i can see what the probem is so i can pick up a new one. let me know what ya got and (yes i know this is a long shot but hey) anyone has one i can borrow if you send me the part ill swap it and see if it fixes my shee or not and take it back off and send it back to you with cash in the box for whatever it cost you to ship it to me. thanks guys
  4. when you ordered your rear shock did you tell them you had a -3 swinger?
  5. did you get the slides back in the right carbs, the angle cut should be facing the air filter
  6. is yours only in the midrange also? mine hasnt ran right since it started but ive only rode it long enough to see if what i did fixed it each time i changed somethin
  7. its gonna cost alot more than that more like a few grand, 600 bucks its about enough just for exhaust
  8. i jsut cut the coil wires back a couple weeks ago, its gotta be both cylinders, i have had a plug go in and out before and still be running on one and it was no where near this bad, the thing that is getting me is it is jsut the mid, runs great crusing around low speeds and still good wide open but you get in that middile and its just nasty and it just came out of no where one sec running great the next its not :shrug:
  9. im still runin the stock stator, and no i dont have another and unfortunaly no one around here even rides a shee but me, it still runs good in the top range its just half throttle that its breaking up real bad, would the stator cause this only to happen in the mid range and still be fine in the lower and top ends?
  10. also before anyone askes the tors has been gone for years and i checked the pickup gap and its at .019. i am lost

  12. ok so last saturday i took the wife out trail riding, bike ran great for the first hour or two and then out of no where it starts missing/hesitating real bad in midrange. so i ran back to the truck to swap plugs, still doing it. it wasnt poping or acting like it was lean but i dropped the needle just to be sure a clip and then it realy got worse. so we loaded up and headed home. since then i hav put brand new intake boots, checked my reeds (all looked good) cleaned the hell out of my carbs, checked compresion, put all new gaskets fuel lines and vent lines on and cleaned my filter and its still doing it. it fires up on the first kick and purrs like a kitten. all is good till you hit the midrange and it starts hessitating real bad and once you give it enough gas it starts running great in the top end. my mods are coolhead 21cc domes, fmf fattys, vf3s, k&n, timing plate set at +4(checked it hasnt moved) im runing 30 pilots, air screws 2.5 turns out, needdle on third clip, and 300 mains, bikes ran great since i rebuilt her a few months ago and nothing has changed and all of a sudden it jsut happened
  13. if i remember correctly this has been brought up before and the weiscos are thicker than the stockers
  14. never spray any kind of lube on a heim joint, the dirt then sticks to the lube and causes premature wear of the joint
  15. DB limit at a track??? man that is just dumb to begin with.
  16. 27.5 or 30 pilot, needle on the 4th clip and probally a 310 or 320 main, itll probally be a little rich but beter to start rich than to run lean
  17. stock offset is not that, the front is a 3+2, and im not possitive about the rear but i belive stock is a 6+3

  19. the coolhead has nothing to do with you jetting
  20. also what kind of port job are you looking at gettin (mx, dune. play. drag, ext.)
  21. i got my k&n lid for avout 20 buks less than that, with the k&n the whole lid is a filter, that thing still sucks unfiltered air through the stock opening and the extra filter part is only about half of the total area of the lid, go with the k&n over that any day
