  2. I just finished doing the same thing to my banshee, it now has houser slicast a arms and elka long travel shocks, i made up new lower a arm mounts and just used the top mounts, had to make new mounts for shocks as well but i can tell you it is worth it in the end.
  3. i rode my mates honda 450 r a couple of months ago and was impressed with the stopping power of his front brakes and was wondering how to improve the banshee.Has any one out there modified there brakes, if so what did you change,i tried a search but did,nt find much.I know the banshee is heavier and older but the difference is night and day. I noticed the honda has twin piston callipers and the banshee single,is this where the stopping power is or at the master cylinder or both.any help would be great thanks.
  4. i recently purchased a set of denton a arms +2+1 with heim joints and after 10 hours use the top joints are stuffed, there is more play in them than a child care centre, what a heap of crap. why make somthing so exposed to dirt sand mud ect and not make a rubber boot for them. the dealer who sold them to me said they would last years, all you have to do is wash em after every ride and spray them with a little lubricant and she,ll be right. maybe if i rode around my lounge room and never took it out side they would be ok, so now its going to cost $50 bucks per joint.thats $200 aus dollars every 10 hours racing just in heim joints.so im off to buy a set of ball joints to replace them with.any one who is thinking of buying a arms with heim joints think again,i have no problems with the a arms there good and have heaps of adjustment , just a let down with those joints.
  5. it must be the same guy, when i received the pipes they came with a klemm research sticker, they were a nice works finish when new but kept on rusting so i painted in heatproof black only to find out later they make heatproof clear.i didnt feel like re sanding so i just left them black, anyway thanks for the help also can you tell about the mufflers do they affect power its just the stockers sound a bit restricted and lame.anyway cheers!
  6. I bought a set of klemm pipes a while ago and was just wondering if anyone has heard about them. Are they low mid or high, do they work best with stock motors or worked, they seem to pull ok but drop out of powerband between 5th & 6thgears, motor is stock except v force3, snorkel removed and jetted to suit pipes, stock gearing& tyres. I was also told by the guy who sold them to me that the mufflers don't increase horse power so I'm running the stock mufflers. Is this true or is he full of crap. The only other thing I know about these pipes is they are an old pipe made about 20 years ago. Can anyone tell me from the pic what these pipes most resemble. Any help would be much appreciated.
  7. just wondering if anyone has heard of clem? clm? not sure on how to spell it , but they are an old pipe i think not sure, anyway let us know what you think.
