  1. Higher octane actually burns slower than a low octane. So, if you use it but dont need it, you actually lose a little power but it's not harmfull to the motor at all.
  2. Just to asure you a little more... normal:)
  3. Anyone heard how long the site will be down?? I have a motor I need to send em and kinda need to get on their site to get and idea as to what I want them to do.
  4. All I ride is the dunes and some drag racin. After a half day of dunin I start growing a big vagina on my thumb and I end up having to push the throttle with the palm of my hand, so I'd like to go twist throttle. Are there any good reasons not to???
  5. I run 18cc domes in mine at 5000'. I HAVE TO run a mix of 93 and 110 octane! Straight 93, it runs like crap. I mix it 50/50.
  6. I've seen a few seats from a distance that are REALLY black, if that makes any sence. They're not shinny black vinyl ones like I'm used to seeing, it's something else. I anyone knows what I'm talking about, what are they corered in? I'll try to find a pic of one to put on here.
  7. The only problem with that would be discoloring the chrome. I imagine that would work though. I was wondering if maybe there was a way to do it chemically?
  8. There is a thin (1/16") layer of hard crap coating the inside of my pipes. Have any good ideas on how to get it out?
  9. I'm losing the rear fenders all together, along with all the brakets ann crap that they mounted to, moved the pipes to the inside of the frame and built a better looking, lighter grab bar. Still have some tape holding the pipes up for now until I get the mounts put on tomorrow and some spots to repaint where the old brakets were. Also, the grab bar will end up being 2" shorter once I weld it on.
  10. No quotes yet but I have a perdy good idea it'll be a little spendy! That's why I'm planning on next winter after the tax refund! Yea, I know, I plan to far ahead.
  11. I've been cutting and grinding unused brackets and tabs off my frame this winter and just painting over them for now. I want to have the whole thing dipped in chrome this next winter so I'll need to get the pc off. Any ideas how, or can the chrome shop do it?
  12. So the "fucking idiots" being the guys who start these posts, or are you refering to me? :yelrotflmao:
  13. eeeaaasssyyy... Is it really that big a deal??? Dang. Realistic ballsack huh? Hmm...
  14. I don't know all the "politics" behind this post but I'll tell ya the BEST way in MY opinion. On a fresh motor, I mix a little gas A LITTLE rich with oil, to much oil you will actually run the motor lean as far as air/fuel goes. Star the motor, let it warm ALL the way up with a few "blips" of the throttle every once in a while. Shut the motor off and let it cool down ALL the way and re-torque all the nuts and bolts. Now fill your tank with the normal fuel/oil mix, warm up the motor, point and shoot! You might check the torque on you bolts again one more time after your first couple ride.
  15. A friend of mine just bought an 06 DS and he wants to get started modding it. He's lookin for a DS forum that's as goo as the BHQ. Any ideas?
