  1. You will feel quite a bt differance on topend but your bottom and mid will be night and day differant.
  2. PT High or Mids depending on what kinf of trails, 28PWKs, Billet basket with FZR1000 plates, star mod, VF3, Cool Head, Timing, Stock gearing, +2+1 a arms, pods if your not splashing,
  3. T-5 or Trinity stage 4 sound like they would be right up your alley
  4. yea its fine to run with stockers, your carbs will only take on fuel so fast so even if the stock petcock can keep up with it the pingle will always be ready if the time comes.
  5. yup the new Evols are insane, i rode a 450 with them and all i can say is WOW! If money wasnt a big dal i would pick them as my top shock. They are super easy to adjust and they just flat out rode awsome. Now keep in mind i rode on a track with the elkas and foxes and weighed 210 or so at the time so depending on your size and what kind of riding they might be totally differant. Good thing with Foxes are you can change the pressure your self making the shock setup for more then one kind of riding unlike all the other brands. but it comes at a cost
  6. what surface are you riding on? and what mods are on your bike?
  7. if your not doing mostly topend riding the T-5 would probly be a better pipe for you. there are a few differant factors to think about but the type of riding is the main focus. Rockets CPI and Shearers are all topend pipes. if your going to be crawling you might look into PT mids, your idea of clrawing and mine might be totally differant, so try and explain what your idea of crawling is. And then maybe we can give you better advce. Also do you have any porting or plan on getting any soon?
  8. i have had a lonestar and an rpm and they both mark them in the center with the name and serial #, if it has LS-xxxxxx then its lone star.
  9. dont rely on that to tell u if there is a leak. you can gather parts and build on or go here and buy this if u have a compresser
  10. i dont know, try doing a search.... i had posted it several months back, it has to be on here somewhere still
  11. unfortunatly they are not a common thing to see get sold used. and if they are they are normally close to the new price. you might be better just getting a new one.
  12. I'm not going to attempt to comment of desert racing casue i know nothing about it. I know Dean will make you a frame but you better have a narley pocket book!
  13. man reading this thread was about as much fun as a kick in the crotch! at the end of the day we know who actually knows his shit.
  14. look up the name Dean Sundahl
  15. most of the billet intakes are pretty much the same. If your running bigger carbs they will sever asa duel purpose. By lifting the carbs up and over the clutch lever and also getting rid of the cross over tube. You can buy the intakes with out without a built in crossover. I have the White Knuckle Racing billet intake, it does what it needs to. The Boss, Modquad and several others are like i said pretty much the exact same thing.
  16. normally an air leak will start off fine and then climb without having to pull the clutch or push the throttle. once the motor warms up its will usually climb, but not always. Try getting some carb cleaner and spraying around all your gaskets and seals. If you notice a change in idle when you spary you found your leak
  17. your auxillery power should be a yellow wire i want to say or it might be white with yellow stripe edit: i could have the colors way off, its been awhile sense i messed with a harness
  18. stock style swinger or round house?
  19. yup its all going to be i like this or i run that. The two are comprable to each other, the foxes cost alot more i want to say but that doesnt mean they are any better. Its all about how you like the way they feel. I have riddin a 450 with both elka and foxes and i liked the way the foxes felt, but our riding styles and wieght and everything else could make a differance.
  20. when you replaced the crank di you do a leakdown to make sure the cases did infact seal? if not you could have an air leak, or its possible that you just got a bad bearing and cooked it. I'd lean more towards the air leak
  21. when you suck it in the vacume line do you jut put the hose into a cup with it and let it idle and pull what it can or what?
  22. ok fellers, i added 6oz of sea foam to my oil and started her up ran it about 5 mins and there was not a single bit of smoke, so i have a full bottle of sea foam in my gas which is only half full and 6oz in the oil. from everything i have seen online this stuff normally smokes its ass off when it start buring all the junk out. Mine had zero smoke, now i know with out a doubt that this ford clunker with 113k on it HAS to have carbon build up. When you guys ran it did yours smoke ?
  23. i have always used the 1/8 hex. i noticed when i too the cover off the first time that the mm key just didnt fit right so i swapped it for the american standard and it was fine. i was just a stupid ass and didnt seat the key all the way and turned it and stripped the head, then i flipped it over and used the tool hoping to get more leverage and it broke off inside, but all in all i got it out, now i just need to get another screw to replace it.
  24. i put in a new TPS and it seems to be good now. I am going to add some sea foam to the oil and let it clean all that shit out and see how well she runs.
  25. if you have good spark chances are fuel. start looking at the carbs, have you tried to pull start it and see if it fires?
