  1. your saying that if a wet clutch sits for 2 years that the steels and fibers will remain soaked? sorry brother but thats wrong. they would maybe at best have some residue left on them but they would not remain soaked. even if he had enough tranny fluid in there while it sat it barley covers the bottom of the plates. that means that over 3/4 of the plate surface has had two years to "dry up" realizing they wont be dry like water drying up but im sure you get where im going. the poruose material that the fibers are made out of without a dought will not retain oil for that amount of time.
  2. if your not running a lockup then look into sopme FZR 1000 Fibers and stock steels. if your running a lockup you can pretty much run anything.
  3. good compression and good spark only leave one more thing... fuel. check yur floats and make sure they are not sticking and make sure its clean...
  4. i have the White Knuckle, my buddy has the Mod Quad and iv check out the Boss... they all look that same... i havent messured anything to see if there are diffrances or not but visually they look alike

  9. you know what, iv never even thought of it but your right you dont. either way your getting the max compression with it carbs or not casue its not leaking out.
  10. i kinda stayed out of this thread but i felt i had something to say after the fire burned out some... im kinda on the fence with this... i dont like to fuk someones for sale thread by saying what they did... how ever i also agree with 2yxkjads,m. and think that there are alot of ppl on here that wouldnt know if thats a reasonable price. and without something being posts they wouldnt know that there is talk going on behind the curtains about it. i know for a fact that if you pm the majority of ppl on here and kindly tell them hey bro your asking price is kinda unreasonable and some kid gets on and sends him a message inquering about the bike, hes not going to re-assess his price. hes going to go with the over priced one. so in the end the kid kinda gets the shaft. either way i think your damned if you do or your damned if you dont.
  11. sometime it will sound like BB's knocking aorund inside your motor... pull your head and check the top of your pistons and your domes for pitting at 170 id be runing race gas
  12. do you store your bike standing on its back wheels? when you say it spert out oil. how much are we talking? small amount continuose? you have pressure built up in there and that hose is venting it out but you probly have too much oil and its coming out with it or you store your bike up right and its pushing out what got in the hose from that
  13. what side was it hanging on? as long as your impeller gear spins to align it should have slipped right on there.

  15. majicmike sells a nice one, or Boss, or Modquad, or White knuckle Racing. all of them have built in cross overs.
  16. you said you did a compression test with no carbs? Thats an issue right there.. to do a compression test you need your carbs and pipes on. remove one spark plug and install the tester. with the start botton turned to off. hold the throttle wide open and kick it over until the needle stops moving. thats your compression for that side. do the same for the other side.

  18. lok at the alpinestar tech 4 you can get a set for like 129 or 159 one of the two.... no need to get the tech 8 or tech 10... your just paying more becasue they are the newer style. i have the tech 4 and they are perfect... with any boot its going to suck until you get it broke in...
  19. look into the alpinestar tech 4 you ca get them for like 129. me and a few of my buddys have them. they are pretty nice.
  20. charlie doesnt have the best reputation on here... no dought he can build motor but customer service to alot of people is worth more.
  21. not directly in the sand no... but i clean my chain after every trip, not to mention tri flow isnt tacky at all. so at worst the sand will stick to it and fly off. so i clean the chain and add some more. either way its better then running bare metal on metal
  22. what are you being charged to rebuild it and put long rods on there? you can get a hotrods 4mil crank for 400 bucks

  24. i want to say majic mike does it. but that kinda stuff isnt cheap. you might try buying a bench polisher and some polishing rogue and give it a shot. its not hard... its just really really time consuming!
  25. im going to start using Tri-Flow, we used it when we raced gokarts and midgets. and we never had any issues. stuffs great.
