  1. cubs use all stock style bolt ons. cheethas have power valves super cubs = pain dont bother theres the vito mono block = crap trex good motor but takes alot of work to get it going
  2. damn 3 to 1. you need to bring me your bike lol i never did any 3 to 1... wrenching was a large part of it for sure but not 3 to 1
  3. you cant beat the way a thumper rides on and mx track. they lug out of those tight corners like fukin champs. you dont have to fuk with the clutch trying to keep the R's up like a 2 stroke. for that type of riding hands down thumper all the way.
  4. are the screws completly stripped? if not try using an impact driver and get it out.
  5. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/index.asp
  6. i would be going for halloween but my baby is due that time. the temps arnt too bad... warm in the sun durig the day but barable.
  7. if your not looking to work on your bike all the time and you just want to ride and have fun, get a 4 stroke. banshee are kinda biased on here(go figure) if your track riding hands down 4 stroke. you dont have to work th clutch like a 2 stroke. you can go into a hard corner in thrid gear and leave in third gear pulling strong. cant say the same with a 2 stroke. a shit ton of clutch work and shifting invloved. downfall to 4strokes is when they break they are a bitch to work on if you dont have the tools and experiance compaired to a 2 stroke. alot more moving parts to get within specs on them, but they out last 2 strokes for the most part once built.
  8. fuk that make your self some billet cases!!!
  9. PS website is fuked up, sometimes the link works some times it doesnt... if you cant get it to work go to www.planetsand.com hit the forums and at the top of every forum theres a link...
  10. i seems the supports to keep the tread stiff and act as the side walls will wear out very fast? although that would be very nice whil it worked
  11. that is a VERY generalized statment. i find my self doing it alot and leaving my post open to be smashed however adding pressure is NOT always going to give you better traction. you nailed in with the beginning of your post. its all about the conditions of the sand. temp, depth, moisture, ect.
  12. make sure you have the same jets in both, make sure your air screws have the same amount of turns, and sync your carbs, it could be any of those three but its more likley your out of sync and to answer you ahead of time. no you can NOT scyn them by looking at it. yes you can get it close but close isnt synced. buy the tool and do it right and be done with it
  13. its amazing what a little TLC can do Before After
  14. i as well am sticking with the idle heat cycles. i have had zero problems over the last 16 years doing it that way on a few differant 2 stroke applications. but i can not say the same for the beating the crap out of it on a fresh bore. is it interesting to read? yes . will i do it? no.
  15. im going to assume you have stock carbs because you didnt say other wise. back when i was running stock setup with similar mods i had 320 main 27.5 pilot stock needle 4th clip. i was a bit rich so you should be ok some where around a 300-310 starting same pilot and needle
  16. if his port timing was off he would probly be on heard asking about it running bad. when your port timing are off you will notice it idles hard or not at all. fromt he way it sounds he can ride it fine its just not to his satisfaction. like all these guys have been saying your probly not hooking up and/or your jetting is off.. when you say your jetting is on. are you assuming that or did you do a plug chop? remove your plugs and snap a shot of them and post if u can
  17. this is very common in the world of motors, or racing for that matter. there are several topics that not everyone will agree on, everyone has differant opinions and differant success/failure stories. theres more then one way to skin a cat.
  18. i run that right now on my 4mil stock bore 373. so a 421 should be very close to that... what u got now seems very lean
  19. thats a smokin hot banshee. i wouldnt mind knowing someones bout to kick the bucket if i get to scope those jugs out
  20. a plus 4 is only like 113... it might be 116. i cnt remeber how many i had to cut. but i know for sure it wasnt 120.
  21. when racing gokarts, we had many motor get "stuck" doing it like this. the only way the motor lasted was doing heat cycles at idle. the rings are going to expand at idle or not... its inevitable. the heat is going to make it happen. maybe not as fast but fast isnt always good. i have always broke in all 2 stroke motors the way mentioned above and have had 0 failures. how ever i can not say the same with your method. 4 stroke are much more forgiving so they dont need it.
  22. those are some very good looking pistons for sure. i looked around to see if he had anything related to 2 strokes but didnt see anything. but i might just not be looking hard enough
  23. i do three 20 min cycles at idle. let it run for 20 min. then turn it off and let it cool ALL the way down. do that three times. then first time you ride it go through one tank of gas around half throttle shifting up and down through all the gears several times... aftr that ride it like you stole it
  24. or u can do the math... bore in mm x bore in mm x stroke in mm x .0007854 x the number of cylinders stock stroke and bore. 64 x 64 x 54 x .0007854 x 2 = 347.43582
