  1. I use this same formula
  2. It's not a bad area. Just smaller, with less options. It reminds me more of Dumont. Rollig dunes with a few bowls and then the flats on the Gordons Well side. The dunes are quite a bit smaller and not nearly as steep.
  3. I kinda agree with Ban99. It is more family orianted, but it's just not the same as Glamis is. If you REALLY want to go to Glamis then you can still be safe. Just camp wash 14 and down. There are plenty of place to go ride where there isnt going to be a million retards.
  4. Upload your pict to www.imageshack.us resize it to fit message boards and hit upload. Then copy the top link once it is done. Open a reply on BHQ and then click the botton two over to the right from the smiley face above where you type. Paste the link in there and your done.
  5. It will be a tight fit. Get your self a soft rubber hammer and tap the dust cover down on there. Don't beat the piss out of it, but a little tap wont hurt anything.
  6. The fins are pretty close together, and depending on how much paint you goop on there it seems like you could clog the area between the finsmaking it so air can't pass through... I don't know though. I havent seen or done it, just speculating.
  7. I got a Craftsman compression tester. It's pretty dang accurate. My only complaint is they didnt put a "head" on the end of it to tighten it down. For some reason it is just round, and you have to use plyers to get it tight.
  8. Are you sure it was set to +4 and not -4? 0 and +4 should not make enough differance for it to not start.
  9. Even if she did look like Megan Fox... Long term for me would be a week max... You can't overlook that level of stupid too long before it rubs off on you!
  10. !!!NSFW!!! The video is clean but the website it is on is not safe for work or school, or if your mom is a stupid whore and cries about her kid seeing tits. http://poststuff5.entensity.net/121409/flash.php?media=911.flv
  11. How old is your daughter? If she is young there are some areas you want to stay away from, becasue you will have guy bombing through there like bats out of hell not paying attention. If they have the sand drags going on Saturday when you guys are out there down off Gecko, make sure your at the beginning. I have seen some nasty spills that damn near went into the crowd down at the end.
  12. They need to be pressed out.
  13. What he said. Next time make sure you do a pressure test. Where are you riding? Elevation, temp, and mods. 240 on stock carbs is very lean unless your riding at like 5,000 ft
  14. It depends on what the rod length is as to which piston your going to need. You will also need to have a coolhead with the proper domes cut for a 4mil or get your stocker cut to takeup the 2mm of extra piston travel. If you got a long rod and you want to go with Weisco you will need the 795 Series Pistons in what ever bore your at. WSM is another great piston to use. Both have differant tolerances so don't just assume your good by slapping them in there. Get the piston and send your jugs to a reputable place to have matched.
  15. Start at the stator and work your way to the coil and wires. Set your pickup gap to the thickness of a match booklet cover. I think it is .018? Hell it's been a long time, just use a match booklet and you will be fine. Start testing for power. If your getting everything good, start looking at your grounds. Also make sure that you dont have a bare wire touching your frame grounding out as well. Although the lights and ignition are seperate, with your lights on, do they try and illuminate when you kick the bike over? This wil help to narrow a few things as well.
  16. You said your getting spark so I assume you pulled the plugs and verified this right? When you kick it over 5 or 6 times, open the throttle wide open and stick your finger down inside the carb and see if you can feel a little bit os gas on the inside of the carbs. If not your not getting fuel more then likely. If they are a little wet, try hitting it with a little carb cleaner and then kick it over.
  17. Almost everything we buy now days is made thier. Hell we are riding a Japanese bike. They use China for outsourcing just as much, if not more than America does. I just use stock hoses. I was one of the first guys to give the Clear Lowes/Home Depot hose a try becasue no one really had any info on it. I ended up taking it off when it popped off the head while doing heat cycles and shot hot coolant all over the place, including my face. This was still at the time when I rode my bike to the hill rather then trucking it. Figured that's not something I wanted to happen 4 miles into the dunes. Once it heats up it gets VERY soft and flimsy. But there is several guys on here and ATVDR that havent had any issues using it.
  18. Thats actually not that bad... There is a brand out there (can't remember the name) that is over 100 bucks for them.
  19. I just grabbed a cheap magnetic one from Harbor Frieght
  20. Ahh that's cool. Now if they would build something like that closer to Glamis lol
  21. Wash 14 and 15 are also very close to Olds. You head directly West over the dunes and you will comeup on the hill where Robby Gordon and the Metal Mulisha guys ride over looking Olds.
  22. He is probably talking about the flats behind the vendor area near the store.
  23. They graded wash road, but by now it is probly getting rough again. Each wash will have paint so you know which wash your at. If someone says wash 14 1/2 that means they are about halfway between 14 and 15 in the flats. I like 14 and on becasue the washes open up and there are not as many people acting like jackasses riding balls open through the camps in the middle of the night.
  24. 100% would be 1 : 1 yes... So If I said 100% more that would mean 1 full amount more then usual??? if I was to say that I consumed 140% then my increase was 40% right? I think we are both saying the same thing just differant verbage...
