  1. Im looking for an extended throttle cable that coincides with my keihin carb. (sp) I also need the throttle assembly housing part too. let me kno what ya got. thanks
  2. I recently discovered a hole in my exhaust pipe on the right side. Before i found this hole my cylinder had not been firing. My buddy nickisgod thinks this could be the reason. The pipe is cold to the touch after running the shee for a good minute. Im not saying your wrong nick but i wanted to get some more opinions. Any ideas???
  3. i checked the reeds everything is AOK. I will double check the sparkplug boots and such but i know im getting spark, so im not positive it would be the boots. I will post with what i can conclude
  4. Heres my issue, I have just replaced my crank, pistons and rings with the wiseco kit, and my banshee ran fine. It was running the best that it ever ran. Then all of a sudden i notice i dont have as much power as before. I check it out and one exhaust is puffing the normal amount of smoke and the other barely had any coming out at all, which brings me to the conclusion that my right cylinder isnt firing right. Before i tear it apart to see whats up i wanted to see if anyone had any ideas of what it could be. I mean like i said i replaced the pistons, rings, and crank. I checked the spark its good to go. All you can smell is gas coming out the tailpipe. I really dont kno what could be going on. Help if you can, thanks.
  5. to be honest it very well could of been at -4 im not really sure, my buddy nickisgod changed that back for me so i dont really kno what it was set at
  6. Thanks for all your help and thoughts on this animal. Last night we finally got her goin. Whoever said to check the timing was right. it was at plus four then we knocked it back down to zero and it fired up one kick. And scared the crap out of all of us, didnt expect it to start. Again thanks for the help.
  7. when i took the carb apart it was filled with gas, wouldnt that mean i have gas delivery. and yea nick does kno more about this machine than i do, and yea that background is pretty impressive
  8. i dont kno what you mean as far the gap, i kno i have my timing set at +4 is that what your talking about? And i dont think i have a choke tube, i mean i have a choke but i have my carb setup the same way i had it setup when i my quad was running. i dunno
  9. yes i pulled them and checked them personally, i did take the carb off and apart and cleaned it, i have done nearly everything i can think of
  10. I am really reachin out here cuz im just baffled with this machine. a little background info is last time i took my banshee out my exhaust pipe connectors let loose and my pipe fell on my wire harness and shorted my stator coil. since then i have fixed the damaged wire, replaced the stator, new flywheel, new crank, new pistons and rings, and new coolhead with domes. I have spark, oil is good, gas is good, mixture is on the money and i just cannot get this thing to start. I dont kno what else to do. I refuse to take my machine to yamaha dealers becuz frankly they just halfass everything and do not kno what they are doing. Does anyone have any ides, please help. thanx
  11. i am in the process of putting some new parts on the shee and i was looking at the pistons they werent that bad they were just charred on top from me running the mixture too rich. my question is should i replace the pistons even tho theres nothing wrong with them or should i just replace the rings? I have had arguments either way?
  12. it says 513m06475 so that means its .75 over?
  13. yea there are numbers on there but which one tells you what size
  14. I plan on putting a new piston and ring kit in the shee but i dont kno if the engine was ever bored out or not therefore i do not kno what size the pistons are. Is there anyway of telling whether or not the engine was bored and or what size my pistons are, please help. Thanks P.S. I have then engine tore down to the pistons already, bout to take them out as i speak
