bigred, about the innnocents you speak of over there. i am sort of the opinion that they are content to sit idle and not do anything. in my eyes this is not innocense. the innocents over there could be boycotting the enemy, or telling allied troops where they are hiding out. the civilians could adopt a zero toleranbce attitude and end the war in a few hours time if they wanted to rally up and crush the opposition in 1 big swoop. alot of them chose to remain quiet to protect themselves, at the expense of american lives. i dont think that is so innocent. off of that topic, i dont see how there could be a god. why would a god let so many people get killed in the history of the world? not a very good role model if you ask me. if i was god i would probably put my hand down and smack the shit out of the people in the world who cause so much trouble for the rest of the world like. the allmighty should take a hint from parents who spank their child. but god does nothing in this world. god is not here anymore. imagine a parent not controlling and nurturing their child. god sounds like a crock of shit to me. what kind of parent lets its kids roam the world and do what they want to whomever they want? an irresponsible parent. let me ask you all something. does prayer work? if a prayed for a cool million bucks in unmarked 20's does anyone here believe i would get it? what about immorality, or peace in the middle east? how does one know if a prayer works or not? what if i prayed for the next 5 minutes to pass without me suffering a heart attack. tick tick... so 5 minutes passed and im still here. does this mean it is the hand of god that saved me? well its a very subective thing. i personally dont think so. what about all those people praying for their significant other who is slowly passing away in a hospital bed. why didnt prayer work for them, yet it saved me from a heart attack? because its all a numbers game. people like to pick and chose what they want to believe. if someone prays for a miracle and it comes true than they believe it must be the hand of god! however if their prayer goes unanswered they dont know what to think. the fallacy i hear alot of times when prayer fails is "god works in mysterous ways" sounds likea scapegoat to me. its all a game of chance, like in the game "monopoly".

is there any game which actually has a banshee? in off road fury 3, the wolf trekker sort of looks like a banshee but its slow as hell and sounds like a 4 stroke.

engine cooler... does it worth the price?
csrmel replied to tonyown's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
judging from the picture i doubt it has enough surface area to really do anything. maybe if those fins were 6 inches in outside diamater it might have an effect. -
ive got atv offroad fury 3, it isnt all that great and does not have a banshee in the game. i was wondering what are some other games for playstation 2 which feature atv's. sence i cant ride my banshee all the time, id like to get some games.

ive seen the gps for cars and such, but something tells me they wouldnt last too long in the dirty and somtimes wet conditions which a quad operates. im wondering if there is a gps more taylored to quads?

i was going to mention that although i havent had to mess with my brakes, i was pretty that you had to mess with the parkin brake nut and bolt before putting new pads on.

15t works great for my bike and its essentially stock. i trail diring, mild duning, some drag racing, and i run the fuck out of some dirt roads.

sence were on the topic of horsepower, how about a banshee with a fresh engine, t5's, vforce3, 21 cc domes, timing plate, dune port and dual pod filters running 93 octane at sea level.

harbor freight has 4x8 trailer for something like $150.

drain the gas and oil. tip the banshee upside down and remove sparkplugs. crank over with kick start (by hand) untill all water is gone. then flip right side up and dump some oil in there. you gotta get that water out quick before youre shit rusts.

fix youre adjusters first. if its cross threaded then remove them and re tap the holes or drill out to next size and tap bigger. you wont be happy with any chain if you cant properly adjust it.

nneed help, popping noise from rear of bike
csrmel replied to hellride96's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
mine pops whenever i go through mud. i think the mud loads up in the chain and makes it slip on the rear sprocket. all i have to do to fix it is ridethrough some water to clean the mud off. mine also makes a popping/grinding noise when the suspension is more than 70% compressed. i found out this is because the chain rubs on one of the plastic chain wheels. i can re produce the sound by compressing the rear end with a tie strap and manually rolling the banshee foreward while listening at the chain wheel. each link of the chain makes a grinding noise when it comes in contact with one of the wheels. -
Finaly have some cash for much needed parts/mods

sence you said you need to stretch money as far as possible then grab some USED oem wheels off ebay for real cheap. the performance you gain by going to aftermarket (unless a specialised application) isnt a huge ammount. use the money saved by buying used wheels to go towards a porting. unlike wheels, porting gives you huge gains. for $200 you get porting done at rb porting. for not much more you get get the cyls honed/bored and new wisecos. i think its $25 a cyl to bore. i dont know what wisecos go for but it cant be too much. grab a $10 ebay top end gasket kit too. if you have any money left over send rb porting the head and they will cut it down and rechamber it. you get 95% of the benefits of a aftermaeket "cool head" but it only cost ya $65. for $20 they will slot youre oem stator bracket so you can advance the timing. buy some new x ring chain where ever you can get it cheapest. some of these guys will sell ya good used sprockets. go for it. stretch that money. -
stick with stock bumper. its actually pretty usefull. when i still had the stock bumper on my banshee i carried a hand operated tyre pump and a tyre plugging kit inside mine. sence then ive upgraded to a small light aluminum bumper and zip tied the tyre pump and plug kit under the seat. we have lots of cactus out here. a pump and plug kit save me from shredding up tyres by riding them back to base flat.

csrmel replied to Hummah2's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
how about this little thing. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGZK7 it works great on r/c cars. im thinking maybe it could be mounted to the handlebars and be a cheap way to monitor temps. -

my bud just bought a kx 80 locked up
csrmel replied to 2strokesmoke's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
squirt some oil in the carb and also in the sparkplug hole. leave the plug out and tow that sucker down the road with a tow rope. put it in 2nd or 3rd and pop the clutch. if it wont free up put 2 people on it and try towing it. the point of freeing it up is so that when you disabbemble the engine (and u will) you wont have to fuck with hammers and wood blocks and trying to get stick piston out. if you can free it up by towing it then disassembly would be loads easier. i had a banshee along time ago with a cracked ring and for the life of me i could not get the cylinder off. no ammount of hammering on blocks of wood on the piston would budge it. i had to tow it behind a car and pop the clutch. once the piston freed up i could remove the cylinders no problem. -
you might have a blown headgasket. that could cause overheating.

street bikes dont need as much power to accelerate quickly or attain high speeds as a blaster does for a number of reasons. mainly areodynamics and also 4 wheelers with their knobby tyres have assloads more rolling resistance than a street bike with street tyres. to give an example, i had a 125cc 4 stroke honda enduro that i put street tyres on. i could do 75mph all day long. it sure wasnt very quick getting up to 75 but it got there and did it at a respectible rpm sence i had road sprockets installed. if my stock 4 stroke motor could get me to 70 with big enduro fenders and such then this bike should hit atleast 100. i know theres honda nsr 2 strokes with 125cc engines i think that do over 100 with a little porting and a good exhaust over in europe. so this ducati isnt going to be the fastest thing out there. it isnt going to be lightning quick acceleration either, but it should be respectible in what they can do with an engine so small.
-
if that thing showed any increase in performance whatsoever it would be used in every engine made for every quad dirtbike and car/truck.
-
do stock exhaust even have packing?
-
LoL, make sure youre compression tester is actually good. i have 3 bad testers that only went up to xxx psi;. one of them only hit 100, no matter what the real compression was....

the coolant bottle doesnt cost much in weight or complexity. just lop the back of youre airbox off and use that as a bracket to keep the coolant bottle in its oem place.
