  1. The pro design adapter and K&N with an outerware is a must IMHO. The stock air filter assembly on our banshees is a piece of junk. You will need to go up a size or 2 on your main jets depending on your mods. I didnt notice any difference in "seat of the pants" power until I removed the air box lid and added pipes. Dont be afraid to remove the lid, unless you like going swimming with your shee. Lol. The outerware is waterproof to a certain degree.
  2. Let me add my .02$ Just picked one up tonite. I wouldnt have traveled over to the darkside if I hadnt of gotten a smokin' deal on the bike. The sumbitch has got some major torque down low and will do wheelies at will with a push of the throttle. I think its gonna be a really fun trail bike. However, it isnt any match for my fast 4mill. Cant compare with the 450 as I have absolutely no experience with them.
  3. Do you have any other mods? WHen my shee was stock, I installed a K&N pro flow set up and removed the snorkel and I think I was still on the stock 220 mains and my plugs looked good. Do a plug chop after you get the filter installed.
  4. How does it run right now? It is a brand new bike isnt it? It may be just some excess gasket material or oil or some kind of assembly lube from when the engine was first put together. Drain and flush that old coolant out and put some new in there. Keep an eye out on your coolant level in the radiator and not in the overflow bottle under the seat.
  5. For future refrence (sp)....sorry im late in this thread BTW... Just layin a piece of shit walmart tape measure in there, im gettin about some wheres between .875" & .9375" which would be bout 22.225mm to 23.8125mm Thats bottom center to top center of intake port. Sorry im a dollar short and a day late.
  6. Black chunks in your radiator? Can you tell that they are plastic chunks? I dont know about everyone elses but, my stock impeller isnt black. Id drain all that crap out, fill it with water, start it and look in the radiator to see if the water is circulating. MIght wanna check your compression to see if you blew a head gasket too.
  7. I gotta add my 2 cents to this, since I have both street bike and quads. (2) completely different animals. Street bikes are hella fun but, that comes with a hellacious price. You gotta ride like you have a fukin bullseye on you at all fuckin times. Last time I rode my banshee....I didnt have sum stupid ass soccer mom bitch tring to run me down in her suburban all the while talking on her cell phone. And you gotta have moderation on the street. You cant act a fool and show your ass. That will get you and people around you hurt or even killed. I dont think a street bike is gonna fill that off road void tho. You just cant rip it up on the street like you can in the dirt.
  8. Where exactically are you located, in TN.
  9. Yeppers. I've seen that done to a bike on an epsiode of american chopper. It turned out pretty sharp too. Post up some pics.
  10. Assuming that the toomeys are similar to other pipes, there should be a groove on the inside of the inlet of the expansion chamber to put the o-ring in. At least thats how my FMF's and CPI's are.
  11. Yea, what he typed. The magnum basket comes with cushions. Drill out eh rivets. They are of soft metal. Use RED locktite on the new bolts and basket. Replacing the inner hub and press plate should be a no brainer. Together they cost about 50 bucks or less. Dont forget to replace the lock tab that goes behind the nut that fastens down the inner hub and basket. Also inspect your adjuster, might think about adding a pancake bearing too.
  12. Is the choke crossover tube connected between the carbs? Is your air filter clean? What kinda shape are your reeds in?
  13. What kind of port are you getting? And who is doing it for you? RockymountainATV should have most of what you are looking for. They have the clutch cover and stator cover bolts in stainless, allen head by Tusk. They also have the k&N pod filters with outwears in a kit, for stock carbs. As for the acorn nuts, you may pm dlnoss and ask him directly. I know when I got my noss head, that it came with the acorn nuts and little copper washers. Good luck with your build.
  14. Dont know anything about the weisco, but just about any aftermarket clutch basket has to be better than the stocker. The rivets are easy to drill out. They are made of some pretty soft metal. Dont forget to use some red locktite on the bolts when you bolt the new one back together.
  15. That is good news.
  16. What the hell is a dravel road? j/k Those are good lookin tires. Ive got the klaw fronts on my bike and they are good tires. Post up some pics with em on the bike.
  17. Do a couple of heat cycles. Let it get up to operating temp then let it cool completely. Then run it a little thru the gears bout half throttle or so. Let it cool. Re-torque the head bolts then let her rip.
  18. ^ isnt that beetlejuice in your sig? :yelrotflmao: Hi, I am David (dajogejr's long lost kin  ) and I like banshees.
  19. I think you and I have just about the same motor. I have kenda klaws mounted on itp t-9 pro series or sum shit to that effect. Steers and responds pretty well. I think they are pretty much same offset as the stockers but, I'm running lsr +2+1 arms as well. They were pretty damn cheap from RMATV also.
  20. Get a rickey stator timing plate. I think they are 35 bucks. Noss head would be a very good choice.
  21. Happy birthday.
  22. Happy birthday man. Drink a margarita or 7 for me. :woot:
  23. Happy belated birthday. Hope you had fun eatin your oreos and mixed drinks. :yelrotflmao:
  24. My suggestion would be go to autozone or parts store and get some gasket material and make one. The cascade stator cover I have came with a thin, paper gasket. I would go that route and not use any rtv or silicone gasket in a tube crap. The stator needs to be sealed off from the outer elements.
  25. Boom shakka lekka............. :yucky:
