  1. Was this issue resolved? Anything become of this issue? :baseball_bat:
  2. +4 :thumb:
  3. Save your money and build at least a 4 mil stroker. I promise you that you wont be sorry. Go ahead and get the reed cages. They will complement what you have now and future mods like porting and the stroker crank.
  4. ^ Yeah it'll still work if you have TORS. There's enough room in there. Just pull the carb out of the intake and flip it over. I've done that many times. Its changing the needle position that is a bitch with the TORS still attached. If youre terrain allows clamp on filters, i'd suggest going that route. If not, once you've taken the air box out once, it comes out and goes back in faster and faster. Just pay attention to the rubber boots when doin that. They are easy to put holes in and once you have an air leak and you dont catch it, boom! You'll be rebuilding your engine.
  5. Get a dune port from FASTOYS. I just got thru putting mine together and that sumbitch runs pretty good. I've yet to run the hell outta it and see what it'll do on top, but its definately got way more snap and low down pep than when I first brought it home from the yamaha place.
  6. Happy berfday fella.
  7. No offense, but I have to disagree with you, csrmel. First of all...99.9% of the time the parking brake has never worked, even when adjusted. Even with constant maintenance. Second, the stock carrier chain adjustment is that bad. It is a piece of crap. I am another bansheeaholic that has gone the way of the honda style carrier. They really are the shiz. Third, the TORS can be an electrical nightmare. Not to mention they are in the way of doing carb work. I have never had any problems with the above items and have kept up good maintenance on my 'shee and I still think the items are crap. IMO, the stock air filter is the biggest piece of crap on the banshee. And the frame materials and fasteners seem to be made out of recycled soup cans or some kind of cheap ass metal.
  8. What does the brake lever look like and how much?
  9. Happy birthday to both of ya's. :thumb:
  10. How much you looking to spend?
  11. Do like I just did.... When you know you are going to be working....... order up a shit load of banshee parts..... along with these parts, get some kind of port job... It will take several months turn around on your jugs. Then continue on your busy work day. And next thing you know its 5 months later and you got a 2 ton package on your front porch with banshee parts galore. Lol Take a week off and put that sumbitch together and go ride. :baseball_w00t: :baseball_w00t: :baseball_w00t:
  12. The inner piece, in the locknut, has a groove that the "C" clip sits in. Unless you have the inner piece inside the lock nut turned the wrong way, I dont see where the clip could just pop out. It rides in the little groove. Clear as mud, right? Lol
  13. Gots a rancher 4 poke sittin along side the warrior out in the shed. I gots my banshee for the speed rush. I will never waist my time trail riding my shee ever again. I dont even know why i asked about the shearers having any bottom. Lol I very may well end up with some shearers on my bike within the next week or so. Cause I sure as hell aint pounding a fucking dent in a bran new set of 600 dollar pipes just to get them to fit straight. Travis, you still down for hookin up sometime? Jeff sent me a nice carepackage via the ups man this morning. Gonna be puttin a banshee puzzle together this weekend.
  14. ^ Haha. The chrome cant be any worse than the CPIs or the fattys. In all honesty, my fattys had a better chrome finish than these CPIs. How's the bottom end on the shearers? I keep readin that there is no bottom, unless you have a good port job. From the pics I have seen, the shearers look damn good.
  15. Sent you a pm, sir. :baseball_w00t:
  16. You must have Night on your block user tab. Look all his stuff up. Plenty of stupid posts from that fella.
  17. I've tried hanging my silencers with the modquad hangers. They still look crooked. No adjustment whatsoever. More and more I think about it, I just may end up getting some from ol' Mr. Wendorff. :thumb: I bet even plug chops are child's play with the shearers. :baseball_getlost:
  18. Sorry man, didnt mean to sound harsh or anything. What I experienced, when I changed my pipes out was more power everywhere. I went from stock pipes to a K&N with no lid and fmf fattys. I didnt notice any loss on bottom end and more midrange and way more top end. Then I switched to some CPIs, mainly for future engine mods. I went ahead and put them on before i tore the bike down just to see what they would do and noticed even more power than the fmfs. EVERYWHERE. Bottom all the way up to the top. The CPIs are considerably louder than stock tho. One option would be to contact Cascade innovations, especially if money isnt a big factor. They make an aftermarket silencer that is supposed to be very quiet and non restrictive. I will be adding a set of these to my bike when and if I decide that I want to try another set of pipes on my bike.
  19. If you dont want to unleash any extra potential horsepower that the shee' has an abundancy of, hidden in stock form, then leave the stock pipes on it. You are better off getting aftermarket pipes.
  20. My step dad pointed this out to me last night. He looks kinda like he has titties.
  21. My question is to the origionator of this thread. Night, were you previously registered on this site under the name mudcool? :baseball_bat:
  22. I say go race him and have fun. :baseball_mitt: Congrats on your new purchase.
  23. My CPIs fit like crap too. I have not had to put a dent in the left expansion chamber yet. It cleared the stock head, but I had to put the spacer in as you did to keep the pipe from rubbing on the verticle frame member right in front of the engine. I also didnt have a problem with the silencers mounting to the expansion chambers. How do your silencers look while mounted. Are they straight with your subframe? Or are they crooked like this? The quality of the CPIs are definately lacking. I was pissed untill i got down on em and they performed better than the fatties that I had. I cant wait to see what they do with my new motor.
  24. Yes you have to drain the coolant because the water pump is built into the clutch cover. It is an easy task so dont sweat it. You may need a new clutch cover gasket depending on the shape of your old one.
