  1. Axle and cylinders are sold. Thanks guys. Will get your items shipped tomorrow. Still the CPI inframes, head and I have the K&N and pro flow adapter seperated from the air box. Edit: Carbs are sold.
  2. Where are you? I've got a stock 700 craptor and I'll run ya. I hate to say it but, the new craptors have some balls. If you win, i'll buy you a 6 pack of beers or better yet juicy juices. :yelrotflmao: If I win, you can either leave the HQ or stay and stop with the attitude.
  3. Carbs may be sold. You are next in line. I will let you know.
  4. Any of you louisana, mississippi guys and gals gonna be out here this weekend or next? I'm tring to plan a trip.
  5. 220 mains are too small for those pipes. I am assuming that you got the 260's with the pipes, which is what FMF suggests. Stock air filter and remove snorkle, I would start with a 280, needles in stock position (middle clip) and air screws at 1.5 to (2) turns out from lightly seated. Of course, your location, elevation and temp also plays factors.
  6. Adam, welcome to the BHQ. THere is lots of info to be found here. I dont really see many cons to the banshee other than its chassis and suspension in reguards to the newer machines. THere is lots of fun to be had with these machines. Upkeep and preventive maintenance is the key to enjoying these machines for years to come. As far as tightening the chain, it is a cumbersome task but, IMO is not a factor that hurts the banshee's reputation.
  7. And what were you running against him?
  8. google says your 465 above sea level. Id say start with a 300 main, needles in stock position (middle clip) air screws (2) turns out . This is with k&n air filter and no lid on air box. And do some searching around in the jetting exhaust forum.
  9. 240 mains are way too small. Dont run that motor any more. You are not jetted corectly Where are you located? What kind of air filter set up? Is your air box lid on? Elevation above sea level and temperature are big factors.
  10. I just put my shearers on today and rode the bike. I had CPI;s on prior to switching to the shearers. I honestly didnt feel much difference in low and midrange. Might be the extra 4mill and 35 pwks. There is deffinately more top end too but, every bike is different though. I would seriously consult Jeffrey some more before throwing down some coin.
  11. Tap on the side of the carb with a screw driver or something. Sometimes, when you have the carbs apart the floats will stick. Yes there is an exact measurement for the float height adjustment. I dont know it, I dont have my clymers handy, maybe someone will chime in with it. With the air filter off, Look at your slides. One side of the carb slide will have a Half moon cut out in it. It should be very noticeable if your slides are in back ass wards. assuming you are COMPLETELY stock. your mains should be either 200 or 220, 25 pilots and 2 turns out on air screws. Make sure the choke crossover hose is connected between your carbs. Also check your parking brake. There should be a wire going from a small switch on it down into the frame. Chase that wire and disconnect it from the main wire harness.
  12. I too have a F.A.S.T. dune ported bike, but with a 4mill hot rods crank and 35 pwks. I do not have any experience with T5's. But IMO, they look just like the FMF fattys I had a long time ago. I would suggest some shearers instead of the CPI's.
  13. I would sell the aluminum air filter box. Never really understood those. IMO money that could have been spent somewheres else. JETTING, wider a-arms out front, wider axle in the rear and a good set of aftermarket shocks, tires other than stockers and a billet gas cap.
  14. Haha :yelrotflmao: Edit: Here's pics of the head: carbs jugs air filter axle New item!!!!! CPI small bore inframes. 375 plus shipping. And I will include the modquad billet silencer hangers. Yessirs.....have jugs and head for sale!!!
  15. More things for sale. All parts off my 2000 banshee. They have approx 20-25 hours use on them, maybe less. Cylinders. Unmolested, stock bore and in very good shape. I think they would just need a hone and they are ready to ride. 250 plus shipping Head. LOL 25 plus shipping Axle. 50 plus shipping Carbs, still have TORS units still attached. I never had any problem out of them. 50 plus shipping Air box, no lid, w/ hardstyle brand billet aluminum clamp on air filter adapter w/ K&N air filter and outerwear. 50 plus shipping. I will get whomever would like pics.
  16. another person already suggested rockymountainatv. Very good place to get bolt on stuff. modquad and cascade innovations are nice as well. You could also try denniskirk although I wasnt impressed at all with my last order from them. And bikebandit.com. Lots of oem parts and they have breakdowns too. If you ever had any dealings with Jeff, you wouldnt have made that remark. I recommend him because of my past dealings with have been great.
  17. Or getcha some header wrap which is what I did. Stopped the problem with burnin holes in the TOPS of the air filters. Now getting the bottoms of the filters to stop rubbin on the frame and upper, rear shock mount is another story.
  18. 330 mains, needles on middle clip, 27.5 pilots w/ 2 turns out on air screws.
  19. Are you ported? You didnt say. If you are running 400 mains on stock porting, I think something is wrong here. I think your mains are too big.
  20. Thats good to know. I will be out there as soon as i can get away from the office. Lol May see ya out there.
  21. If its a 130, I see no reason to run race gas. And what is "fmf spec"? As far as I am concerned, you can throw fmf suggestions out the window. They are a baseline and a poor one at that. I would run (insert your favorite brand name of oil here) at a 32:1 ratio depending upon your mods. Post up all your mods.
  22. I have lsr a-arms on mine and they handle extremely well.
  23. Thats a good looking 250r. Looks like a blast to ride.
  24. I've got a 4mill dune port on race gas and it runs pretty damn good. You might want to re-think not wanting to run race gas, unless you cant get it easily. You might want to add an adjustable timing plate to your list of parts. And someone already suggested the extended swingarm and stuff that goes with it. Also you will need some tires and suspension to handle the extra hp. Good luck. Banshees are fun to mod out.
