  1. Yeah, I knew I'd talk you in to it
  2. Huh, looks like I will be dominating the -2 swinger class single handed! Haha
  3. Chris. I know you are busy and all..... But is there any way I can get a simple 3 bar wheelie bar done befor Phil's ? Just wanna see what it can really do....... Haha
  4. Yeah, with the A/S pwk's you definitely will end up with way leaner jetting then the guys with regular pwk's. I bet you might be about a 45/48 pilot with a 152 main. God speed on the needle selection with those though. You will be on your own. If you are at Phil's I might have a few different sets you can try
  5. I keep getting the feeling you may be Mat shearer or someone else in the upper end of builders every time I see an anonymous post.
  6. Uhh, really? Havn't you leaned against the kitty kitten cylinder for the frozen lake?
  7. I love me some high compression, but damn! I would guess that when those domes were designed someone forgot about the extra added volume from the larger bore that will be compressed in to the dome. As for where to bring it in for race fuel, I would say for a drag application 160-170 and no more. I would prefer to bring it in at the 160ish side though to keep cranking losses to a minimum. From my experience the high end motors come out better on compression but really can sacrifice some juice on the big end with to much compression. Not to mention if you keep it on the lower side, you can afford to wick the timing up a little more to make up for it
  8. Give Dan a call. He might set it up for the 4 mil for a decent price
  9. It has been asked a million times but every time it winds put the same. Someone says you are gonna fuck them up, send them to a sponsor. Then someone gets all hot and bothered and by page two its a pissing match because people are narrow minded and really have no clue how to port so they put restarted posts up. This thread is par for the course. I support any one willing to sacrifice time and money to learn something out of the norm. I say it every time. Jeff, Jim, Kevin, Kim, Dan hull, etc, won't be doing this forever. We need new talent to be waiting in the helms. 350...... Don't be a dick! People will always be nay sayers. Don't let it bother you and get you off your rocker. You just need to let idiots be idiots and wait for the good info. Just be patient, spouting off will turn the few people who can help away or make them leave asshole comment. My advice, get a few sets of cylinders, and spend time learning dome configuration as well. The dome situation is only now becoming an uncovered issue and is just as important in design as the port work. Dave @ noss was very helpful with schooling me on the basics of dome design, but kinda vague since a lot of what he does is Jim @ passion's design.
  10. Ya know, I started getting used to the way it lifts and that was when it started eating the sprockets. It tracks pretty straight but I wanna find good paddles, not my chincy sand sharks. Fucking rec tires
  11. Ehh, what the hell. I'm gonna paddle up the flat track bike and see if I cant get some tuning done on the thing. Joe, I'll be there! Might need to come up with a wheelie bar, It is a -2 swinger!
  12. Holy gear grabbing hell. That was more stick tuggin' in one minute then I make happen in 2 hours of porn! That thing is a lot of work to move
  13. Umm, just provide all your I do to not only them, but the better business bureau as well. You did send it back right?
  14. No drag bike, but I will come watch and would love to put a donation down. Gotta get the buzz around the track so it will be busy. Ext year
  15. Huh, unheard of......
  16. Why don't you just call Rob @ RDZ. He is apparently such a stand up fucker. Might get lucky enough and have him answer and do you right, or catch him in a dildo ass tool mode and make you decide to sell his product for a different cylinder set up
  17. That was what I told ya from the get go bud. Kevin will get you right. Once you get the new ones in there prepare to hang on. High compression motors are so much more fun. I have gone back and forth between the two setups more times then I care to count and I always wind up wanting the race gas motor! What was the issue with the other domes if you don't mind me asking?
  18. Get a dent removal kit from the auto store. Drill hole, and install rivet style stud and use the slide hammer to pull it. I prefer the weld on studs that you just tack on and cut off and grind when done. I just wasn't sure if you had a welder or not. BUTTER! Haha, you Fuckers crack me up.
  19. Check squish, check profile, pull all the timing out and see what that does. If it seems to improve you might have some detonation issues. The pilot you have listed might be a touch on the lean side as well. I don't know much about the domes from fast, but you will get a ton of builders who all have their preference. So, I think you should definitely call HJR for your domes since he set up your cylinders. Also, what kind of fuel are you using and where is it coming from. I used to have problems with Sunoco from my local station but up the road 25 mins they had way fresh fuel that never detonated for me.
  20. Unless that serval happened to be an oval bike. I know it's not his intention but I have starved the hell out of a few bikes oval racing and I know a few fellas racing Rd/Rz bikes with serval top ends that starve out with out big bowls.
  21. It's not so much that the trinity stuff sucks, but their service is fucking garbage! Your head is more then fine. Especially if you have high compression. Their pipes are about like toomey's so run them unless you do something drastic like high duration Porting. As for their intakes, they are cool to run, however you need to ditch the boost bottle off of it. Those things develop air leaks that can cause a major lean condition. So it's not that their stuff is junk, albeit some can be gimmicky. They just suck at life when it comes to service. I mean a cheetah is pretty bad ass! As long as they aren't in charge of setting it up!
  22. I would say an average 421 serval as cast on pump would definitely not benefit from the big bores. That motor would do just fine on the small bores. It takes quite a bit of heat/volume to make the big bores nessacary,
  23. No dice! I absolutely love the houser stuff as well but there is no long travel for them that I know of. Their standard +3+1 arms are sweet but hard to find. I am a flat tracker and I wish I could get their long travel arms with the sway bar mount tab and upon calling them they did offer to come up with something but it was WAY deeper in my pockets then it would be worth just for the houser name. In my opinion, the closest in design is probably the laegers stuff. I know quite a few guys who race on amatuer and pro level and they have great success with the laegers performance/quality/service. Another option, get photos and dimensions and maybe ask someone like Chris @ WheelMan Chassis to fabricate you a set of similar design.
