  1. There is some info, albeit not much on this topic. The site search is a bit bogus but I usually get good results if I search a topic through google with the term banshee hq attatched. Like this (turbo charger BansheeHQ) Otherwise I can give you a few names. Brad Tyson, Dan Hull, Turbo Chassis. That Trick1Racing place you might bump in to is defunct and needs to close their site down.
  2. Spark plug leak... Eh not to big a deal. Run em in with some anti seize once and they should be cool. The intake leak though, those cost people lots of dollars. I'd pull the cages and put a thin coat of 1211 case sealer, fuel safe RTV, or Toyota gasket sealer.
  3. Who set up that cheetah? Where are the domes from? That 7 range plug is way hot and asking for trouble. I think I would mix any non synthetic 32/40:1 and any synthetics I feel 50:1 to be ok. You have all the right stuff to make a killer running bike I think you just need to do a lot of digging on here about the cheetahs and what issues come with them. All to often people feel that because it starts and goes through the gears at full throttle that everything is ok. All the while the poor cheetah is detonating it self to death and over heating.
  4. ^ Same way I felt about the AIDS I had a few years back.
  5. Getting out? So that joke about selling the 4DM wasn't a joke? Just never ceases to amaze me how people will sink thousands in to a banshee and as soon as it's done the ol' for sale sign gets dusted off or the part out starts. : (
  6. Yep high rpm and slow feed
  7. That's about how I saw it go in my head. Think its possible to use a small end mill in a drill press after pre drilling the bore for the seat? Just get it close then finish that last millimeter or so
  8. Ooh, that's a good question. I have heard of guys running those with minimal success lately, but with a lot of R&D they can be phenomenal stuff
  9. Bring it out to white lake. I'll plow ya a strip next to our oval.
  10. Very much the possible outcome
  11. I've said the same and was almost exiled.
  12. I've seen those and in fact my buddy has one on his 450. I should see if the threads compare. Thanks for the idea. I get that for most riders the idle gets set once and that's it. But for guys like you and I that ride all winter as well, the up and down temps need to be compensated for a lot some times. Especially when the tepm goes up or down 10-20 degrees every time the weather changes in a day of ice racing.
  13. So, trial and error? That's not the advise I expected from a pro tech like your self. That sounds more like a "parts changer" to me. And gum? That in the service manual?
  14. All well and good, but are 10 mil cubs making as broad of a curve as 10 mil cheetahs? I've only recently accepted the fact that my new motor will be 10 mil so I'm really looking at what cubs can do in the right hands. I have been looking at 10 cubs that throw out the exact same type of curve as a serval but carry up in to the RPM's for another 20 HP.
  15. Yeah! That black on green arctic cat bike is fucking stupid cool.
  16. Ok just trying to be sure it's possible. I was looking at my new PWK's ad noticed the way that the idle screw port is mirrored on the other side of the carb. I was thinking about modifying one so the idle screw is on the right side of the carb for easier access. Any one done it? I am pretty sure it should be ok as long as I plug the other side. Where can I get a bit that acts like a small end mill to create that flat surface in the new bore where the sping seats?
  17. ^ We're not talking about bongs, although it was a helpful tip.
  18. Idle May also be high due to lean pilot. Those reeds like one size up from what would normally be in there. But do the leak down, hell you could even use a propane torch to blow UNLIT propane out the tip around all sealing areas and it will change the idle if it sucks in the added fuel source. Thus a leak.
  19. I get your point, but I think you are conveying it in a little off manner and your example was not a very good one. In fact, I had a spark issue and so I did the normal list and ohmed my stater. Guess what, no bueno. So I swapped it and it ran fine. Like I said I get your point, but there is a ton of info here that no service tech or service manual will give you. So now that you have that manual, guess we won't be seeing any more of you since you have all the info available for a banshee?
  20. Bike porn in a super clean garage!
  21. ^ sounds like a bitchin time!
  22. Rappy, what do you even know about lube? Not the greasy shit your mom uses on the rectal thermometer to get your temp when you feel sick to your tummy either. And note for everybody, always spit on it if you want them to come back. Otherwise, just shove it in there.
  23. This dome situation you speak of.... Care to elaborate? I'm just assuming you are referring to the blaster piston angle dome with a wider squish band. Not sure if that's the same idea you are hinting or not
