  1. There are more factors than just saying inlins are more capable of higher torque numbers. Sounds to me like you are talking in vehicle engine terms, which yes Inlines generally create higher torque numbers due to the stroke length over v configuration engines. And how do you mean the inline twin would be smoother in the lower RPM's? Are you talking about smoother as in putting power to the ground, or are you talking internally with the engine's balance, running smoother, that sorta thing?
  2. Simon, what was all done to your shee at that time? Did the guy that started this post PM you? I think he is just wondering if with the mods he stated on the first post, will help his quad run like yours did in that video :ermm:
  3. haha thanks Cody! It takes a bit to get used to the controls and 3rd person shooter, but it's pretty fun! And I know, I got thinking the other day I haven't been on in awhile..but I was damn busy on the weekend. What time are you usually playing?
  4. Just make sure you aren't going through a lot of water. When I used to run stock airbox with no lid...you'd be surprised how much water made it in there :ermm:
  5. You have done a lot of work and it looks great! Have you had the car out for tests runs at all?
  6. burleybanshee pretty much said it! Everyone's work is going to look and perform differently than each other. And based on the info you have told us, that this guy I know is porting for a Dune Play port on my engine...well it's kinda hard for us to tell you how "that guys" port work is going to perform. However on a general Dune/Play port application, you'll notice a good increase in power around mid-top. My bottom end was about the same, but my mid pulls very good and rides on out to top.
  7. Inline twin cylinders fire opposite of each other, while one is coming up..the other is going through it's power stroke (2 stroke). The crank doesn't really have a delay/stall time as much as a single cylinder
  8. :yelrotflmao: That's a good one
  9. Stock Cylinders do not have Boost Ports :ermm: ...or am I miss understanding your statement?
  10. Hmm, this is the only picture I have of my shee right now...lost all my pics when the computer crashed awhile back. Maybe I'll try to get some with it in the snow...
  11. I feel ya, I'm currently laid off
  12. I did the same thing, just used zip ties to pull the hose away from the exhaust...and that is with my 33 PWK's
  13. Hmm, I don't think the amount of increased volume (which isn't too much) would help atomize fuel anymore than it already is. The spacers are just a hollow block to do exactly that, space the carbs away from the Clutch Arm. The intake ports on the cylinders atomize fuel good, as long as they are kept rough :geek:
  14. I guess I won't be purchasing a new Diesel in the future
  15. Makes sense if SCR systems up economy and lower operating costs. Is there anything like a Regen cycle with this system, or will trucks be able to keep on driving without lose of power? Are these Emission Standards that are hard to beat set for 2010, or later?
  16. Main problem right there. Regen needs to have the engine worked hard and build heat...which idling will not do at all. Go out and haul on the engines once and awhile to get things burning. And yea usually when trucks go into Regen mode you loose power. Few people that drive Volvo's recommend pulling over once the light warns you Regen is about to start. This way you can sit on the side of the road/truck stop and let it do it's thing. The other thing that might help out is idling up the engines while they sit there, 1200RPM or higher if need be. Mark, How come you and other companies are going with SCR After Treatment, while Navi and Cummins are going for EGR Design, is one better than the other?
  17. Cool (the highschool class part), we never had anything like that in my highschool. We learned how to use Flash and that was about it :ermm:
  18. Currently Laid Off due to shortage of work, but I am apprenticing for Heavy Truck and Coach Technician :geek: Hey Mark, and new stuff coming out of your stuff facility?
  19. Agreed! You will be running the engine lean during the winter = no good  Colder air is more dense than warmer air, since you are getting more air into the carbs/engine during winter. You have to up the mains and possibly the pilot jet in order to keep the same ratio as you did in the summer.
  20. Well yea, if you are out riding along and want to see your highest RPM's possible, the power is going to start falling off. Is it possible to put a tach on our quads?
  21. You can rev higher than 9000 on stock a CDI Box, it's just you have to have the mods to do it. Major deciding factor of RPM is your Exhaust Pipes and Porting. EDIT, Snop beat me to it
  22. lol It takes some fiddling around to get used to, hell I still don't know half of the program
  23. That was quite the little Rumble  At least you two got over it and continued on. Not sure if this is a good thing or not if Hell is back  , but seems like your a good guy according to Jamey :ermm:
  24. Right on, CS2 is a nice program as well. The basic background and programming of CS2, 3 and 4 are the same, it's just they have changed the looks, upgraded some features, and you can do a bit more. For the average to it yourself person, either of them work great.
  25. Really?, I didn't know that. Are they cheaper than Shearers, or go for around the same price? If they are cheaper, and practically the same pipe perhaps I should look into them.
