Splash guards Need to be there?
Dinner replied to Bansheeman1121's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Hmmm, what are you exactly talking about..i'm not to sure :ermm: -
When I had my shee torn all apart for an overhaul I cleaned up my cylinders and painted them with just High Heat paint used for headers, stuff like that. I can't remember the amount of degrees the paint was good for, but its been a couple of years and they are still holding up.

When it came time for me to get my plastics painted...I guess I took the cheap route and painted them myself. They where white, I sanded them all down and then painted gloss black. Had this colour for oh about a year and then today just finished up painting them silver. Now with do it yourself painting, you wont get near the detail as theshee's brother...but maybe its just something simple you would like to do on your own. First day home Front done: Rears: This afternoon: Tonight:

I taped mine off, then took a marker so i could follow along easier, then took a utility knife and cut away. Took me a little while being as I took little amounts off at a time, but they turned out good. I did the simple "race cut" fenders..so it wasn't too hard. Taken today: Taken tonight:

Maybe thats just it :ermm:  Nice lookin bike, and real nice gf! -
I believe Jeff at FAST sells them as well.
-
I am interested  Even if they didn't come with the members name, and just BansheeHQ.com, hell I would write "Dinner" with black marker on it

Currently running Amsoil Dominator at 40:1 with 91 Pump gas...may go up a bit higher
-
Tell him you heard of guys running Cetane Booster in their 440ex's. Boosts Cetane levels by 4, and helps on cold starts  Or even Power Service for anti-gelling, clean the injectors(sounds like he thinks he may have those) and to add that bit of lubrication to help things run smoothly

Damn, I have always liked that quad. If I had the money I would probably buy it. BUMP

Haha remember seeing/hearing this song at a halloween dance last year (yea yea that was grade 12  ) Couldn't remember what it was called until now :yelrotflmao: Remembered a whole bunch of the little 9ers and 10's looking at the screen with

True...Im thinking im going to go trade my shee and possibly my truck in for one...I think that is a good deal...Banshee+Ram 3500 to get a 400ex
-
I would have to agree with ojcool on this one. Nothing even comes close to a 400EX in the woods. A friend of mine used to own a stock 400ex, then put on a slip on pipe...couldn't even touch it, it was too quick

You still havn't mentioned anything about what jet's you are running in each, needle position...that stuff...or did I miss that

Some odd colors i should mention about my plugs

How much did it overheat? Sometimes you can still use the head gasket after you take it off, as long as you havn't cooked it or anything. If you don't want to take off the head just yet, do a compression test..might tell you something. If you are still uneasy about it, then yes take the head off and check. Take pictures too. -
Yea, I believe Ford and Dodge are coming out with a F150, Ram1500 Diesel...what about GM...any news on them?
-
Sounds good to me  And I agree with the ULSD..the new trucks will run good with it..it is the older trucks(like my own) that I'm a little iffy to run it in..that's why I run 2 stroke oil through my truck  I'm hoping that the Big 3 will get all the emissions stuff figured out and so there isn't a lot of down time. People are looking to buy new Diesels to tow/haul/play/or daily drive, not to sit in a shop because of engines throwing flames out the exhaust, leaky injectors, things like that. Have fun with your new truck though Fire, you will enjoy it..Diesel are so much fun

If I am at low speed I can feel the heat off my pipes a few inches away. Around corners I occasionally hit them from hugging the quad and I have a new scar on my left leg...only touched as long as it took my brain to realize, holy shit i'm being burnt, lol My shee has been like this for 2 years...hasn't blown up or failed yet...and it's even on the rich side
-
Mmm not trying to start crap  From what I have read and seen...the Cummins Emissions technology will be good up into 2010, so no "upgrading" every year..which is good IMO  And as well, 07+(Well technically 08+) have to run ULSD...due to their emissions crap. I However would like to stay away from this(though more and more pumps are changing over)
-
Good luck with the 6.0, hopefully you got a good one out of the batch and it doesn't give you much trouble

 And to think I made your signature :yelrotflmao: I guess if you've been raised around using Litres all your life, it kinda sticks to ya

Less dense air will flow better, but it still has a low density, no matter how much CFM there is. And hot air is less dense vs cold air that has a lot of density due to the particle movement and spacing in the air. As Firehead was saying, there are a lot of different aspects to your questions. Like we could sit here and talk about oh I dunno, turbo's compressing air= hotter air(less dense), and how an aftercooler cools the compressed air going into the intake so that it has more density, which in turn will have your engine burn more fuel = power. Or as we are talking about...lets say there is like 200 CFM of air going through your quad(not sure on the actual number, lol) at sea level, and at 5000ft above sea level. The CFM is the same, but the quad at sea level would be running lets say a 350 Main....and the uad at 5000ft would be running oh I dunno a 300 Main...even though they are moving the same amount of air, the air at high altitude doesn't have as much density as sea level. Hope this helps in some way,lol if i am wrong then Firehead can correct me,lol It's like if you are jetted somewhat rich with your shee during the day. And then go for a ride later that night, Your quad might have more power.
-
Hmm, if the plug is wet, you are running too rich, IMO. Do you have pictures of your spark plugs? I would get some smaller mains and start re-jetting and dialing her in and see what she likes. If your plugs are wet, you can go smaller on the mains a good amount. It's all about jetting, reading plugs, jetting, reading plugs, just keeps going.
