  1. This is still available. As far as the "Shift Kill" option, according to Dynatek, the only one that they have for the Yamahas is the one Raptor Unit. http://www.dynaonline.com/skins/products/atvs/fs/atvs_fs_feature.html A couple of things. 1) The shop that I own is a Dynatek dealer although, we deal with automotive performance, not quads. Meaning that I can provide the seller a receipt for warranty use. 2) Please e-mail me as stated in the first post. While I still have a Banshee and visit the forums, I don't check it every day--or even close to that frequency. If you want a timely answer, please click on the e-mail in the first thread. 3) Please *KNOW* what this unit is, if you actually can use it, if it will actually benefit you, and what it does. This isn't a rare part with no information out there. I don't want to write an instructional thread on what a Dynatek unit it, what it does, what benefits it offers, and if it's the right thing for you. I'm offering it up at less then cost as it's sitting around here taking up space, and I simply don't need it. I'm not into the wasting-hours-to-sell-something-for-less-then-dealer-cost thing. I'd rather smash it with a hammer before doing this just to see what pretty colors are inside. 4) My business has an awesome reputation. I'm not an Ebay or fly-by-night kinda guy. You can research this and realize that I'm not going to screw someone over on a measly $200 part. If I say I will ship it upon receipt of funds--that's what will happen. I'm not rich, but $200 in the scheme of working non-stop for 10 years to build a reputation is a pittance. If you're interested in the unit--please e-mail me and I'll provide a verified paypal address, and ship the unit ASAP after receiving the payment. Josh www.jnztuning.com www.jnzfinishing.com

  4. I've got a brand new DFS7-6P Dynatek Programmable Ignition for a 97-06 Banshee left over from a project bike. I'll take $200 shipped for the unit in the continental US. Please e-mail me @ DSMDealer1@aol.com if interested. Thanks! Josh
  5. Anyone else get a virus pop-up when clicking on pictures in the first thread? I've gotten them on three different computers now...
  6. Pretty sure that there's a shitload of people on here that live/lived near/ride at the Coal Hill region. I grew up around there, my younger brother still lives in the area, and we both go up there pretty often.
  7. Actually, my last job (years ago) was making less then what you're saying you make. I started this business on my knowledge, my reputation, a shoestring budget, and a $30K loan.
  8. Bwahahahah!!! You must live near/or visit Vegas. The end point though is that the knowledgeable/intelligent people stand behind what they *KNOW* (not read somewhere and reiterate it), yet realize that they can learn more from other people with different/more extensive experience, and allow themselves to do such.
  9. This is the funniest shit you've said so far (even beating the little tantrum and professing "I won't be here to see the responses". So now, 02-targeting on the WalMart of EFI units is completely "self-tuning". If you had half of the knowledge that you *THINK* (mayhaps, just "act like") you do, you'd know that's total bullshit, even with higher end systems. Why not just go back to an E6S, minus some abilities (albeit not neccesary on the limited use you'll use it for on a banshee) if you're gonna use a megasquirt. As for the other guys, no, I'm not "in the industry" <sarcasm>. I've just been building and tuning 4 banger turbo cars since Turboboy up top was probably still wiping his shit on the walls, and have a corporation that (albeit small in the real business world) is multi-million in sales, and has doubled sales every year for over the last three years. You can preach all you want about "R&D, yadda, yadda", but I've had $50K+ into POS chassis cars more times then I'd like to remember with a ton of custom one-off, and self-fabricated parts as well. If he's taking $50K to build up that quad, then he needs to step out of the business arena. I don't know the guy (thus have no grudge againt him--just the guys who stretch his nuts out by swinging on them so much) but he's obviously WAYYYY over cost/benefit, or just has under-developed parts so many times that he's dug himself a hole that he's not going to get out of without a big ladder. BTW: It's not Toyota/Ford/Honda/GM corporate, but here's my "non-industry-playground" (one side of the building at least): To Firehead: I'm impressed. When I first came back to this forum after many years away and saw some of your posts, I just figured that you were the typical "I saw it on the interwebnet so it's true and I'll reiterate it" guy that seems to plague this board. After visiting here once every week or so on a regular basis, it's nice to see someone who knows their stuff from actual *hands on* knowledge.
  10. Oh, and to answer this: Because someone who 'heard through the grapevine" and hasn't a clue is doling out there opinion like it's "fact". Your as bad as the "I can build an 8 second 4-cylinder" for $30K guys that pop up on a constant basis in my industry. Your just the polar opposite with the nutswinging on your friend's bankroll. How about "if you don't know--don't try to play teacher when you haven't a clue?".
  11. Actually, I'm wondering how much you paid for those custom pedals on your Banshee. You know--the ones that "BACK PEDAL". A minute ago you were up in arms defending your figure that you were told by your "good friend", now you're playing it off as "Oh, I heard it through the grapevine". Thanks for letting me decide on the term "Sheep", my friend.
  12. Fuck, you just blew me out of the water with that last quote. Gotta feed the addictions and belly. ;-)
  13. If he's doing it himself, and has half of a clue, considerably less. I saw the video, and looked through his site, if *HE* spent that much money, he either has shitty connections or is over-estimating. Axle: Dunno--raw stock, not that much to make mention of it on a (quote) $50K Build (un-quote). If I can't produce one for under $2K (VERY high side), I'll eat the fucker. Busa Motor: $2500 if he's buying like a retail customer (used) Custom Drag Frame: We've done DOM 10-points making a shitload of money @ $2500, 25.5 cars a over double that, but still well over twice the material cost to build an elongated quad frame. EFI: Okay, there are full setups for $10K out there with everything but the proverbial kitchen sink. I'm not talking a cheap-ass Haltech setup, but (Cha-CHING!) Motec setup, and that's pricing it (once again) like an "off-the-street" customer that has *NO* connections. Building a Turbo Busa motor (Internals): I'll give you the high side of $2K---especially if he's "connected" as you claim. Drag shocks: Unless he's a complete moron: $2.5K or less. It's DRAG shocks, which are are built for weight, load, and traction. In the world of custom one-offs, that's a hell of a lot to valve for then someone who moto-xs, etc. Still WAY out of the range of rationality, and I'm being forgiving.
  14. Your point? If he's building it himself, and is in the industry, I call BS even more on the $50K price tag. Lemme guess, he gold-plated the frame? Being in the performance industry, I see high-baller $ quotes thrown around way to much.
  15. Do I call you an exaggerator here, sheep, call him a liar, or call him an idiot for spending more money putting that shit into a quad frame then guys who have full-on drag turbo busas with custom frames who put out more power by far? Wait...lemme guess, he started out with a brand new Busa and a brand new Banshee, then had some $300/hour "supertuner" turn every bolt for him. I love all of the people who whine about "Oh! Too much time! Too much money!". Thank god that not everyone thinks that way or we'd still have only steam engines, and 4-cylinders that only put out 88 h.p..
