  1. Hey Jamey, Hopefully things will start slowin down with the overtime, lol. Did you get my rough for the CD Label???
  2. that is a good one
  3. Have you figured out how to make a CD cover to print onto the CD? Hopefully everything is running smoothly and it's all put together soon! Can't wait to watch it...have to sit down with the friends as well and be like "this is where we need to go next season!!!"
  4. Congrats on the new gift Greg! Glad to hear that Logan and the Mother are doing well, and I agree with Handyman...you have a very cute little guy.
  5. Don't have any pics of the transfers...but I smoothed them out..the flat sections and in the corners connecting to the sidewall of the sleeve. Mine had so many little bumps and crack sticking out it was stupid. So I smoothed everything out, and then I took my files and narrowed down the transfers a bit, making them more sharp I guess you could say. I didn't touch the transfers all that much due to I didn't want to screw them up too much. I forget my measurement of how much I opened the exhaust port...I had it written down somewhere for all my measurements so maybe I can find it again. But I opened them a little bit yes, nothing drastic, but something that I thought was decent in my eyes, and wouldn't affect compression at all (obviously I would have to take a lot away or screw them up good to affect that). I made them a bit wider as well. It was more so to open the exhaust up (side, bottom a tiny bit, and top) so that it would flow better...I will try to find my measurements and all that jazz tonight. Sorry if i am not explaining myself very well. I just don't know really how to explain it good. I read, read, and read some more on porting, measurements and all of that before I touched my cylinders. Sure im no pro but it helped me understand some things.
  6. Do any of you have any knowledge with it in Diesels? I believe it says on the can it can be used in Diesels..but I'm a little iffy to try it. I run 2 stroke oil in my truck right now, so maybe I could run this stuff and see what it does.
  7. Sure did  I had a little set of I think like 15 files ranging from ones that are only 4 inches long and can get into small places to larger ones that are good for taking away material and what not. Used ones that are round, semi round, flat, angled, triangular, etc. I think it turned out pretty good for just hand files and my first clean up. I would like to take it apart again this winter and do even more, and being as I have a full time job, if i screw them up i can buy another set of cylinders  And it took about 5 hours the first time and 3 the second time I believe
  8. Well once I was done the 2 clean ups..it revved quicker and once up top it revved a bit higher(even though the pipes fall off at a certain RPM)....Didn't really notice any power down low..some old throttle response there, but once in the mid rpm, upper rpm she will pull harder than it ever did. Yea I guess you could say it's the same characteristics of stock...just better power and rev quicker...hope this helps.
  9. Agreed, try not to smooth out the intake..just the exhaust. And sorry if I came across as an ass earlier, I just wanted to state that you shouldn't use a dremel if this is your first time porting cylinders, or even if you haven't used a dremel much for anything before. I did a clean up port on my cylinders, and no I didn't have any extras laying around. If I screwed up, well I would of had to find some stockers somewhere that fit my bore, or go get them bored out, which would be even more time and money. However, my cylinders turned out good. I noticed a decent amount of performance once in mid-high rpm and they pull harder and longer than what the stock port did. I did not use a dremel or sand paper...I used an assortment of hand files. Now some people may think that is wrong, but it worked for me, and I can control files a lot better than a dremel. The first clean up I did, I just opened the intakes some and opened the exhaust a tiny bit(hardly anything really)....put it all back together, ran it and decided I will do some more port work the next day. So the next day I took it all apart and opened the intakes more, made them flow better, smoothed out the transfers and opened them a tiny bit to help them flow more, and i increases the size of the exhaust port as well a little bit more to allow this added mixtures to escape faster and more efficiently. I do not have any pictures of my current porting set up, however these were taken when i did my first clean up port...Maybe these will help with your decision and thoughts on what you could use to clean them up: Stock: Cleaned Up: After those pics is when I took more material way in the intakes, transfers and exhaust ports...but I do not have any pics
  10. Good luck to you and your girl Greg...hopefully everything goes smoothly
  11. I'm not going to tell you you can't do it, i'm just going to say you can screw up VERY EASILY by just using a dremel. One little mistake, frick a fly lands on your hand and you flinch big enough, you will screw your cylinders. Unless you have a stand to set the dremel on that keeps it steady, and you can move it around within the cylinder while still on the contraption holding the dremel....I would not recommend cleaning up your cylinders if you have never done anything like this before. The only spots I can really see sandpaper actually taking material away would be to smooth out the transfers, smooth out hte exhaust, and smooth out the walls/burrs on the intake ports themselves, not the entire intake. If you are going ahead with it, I can't see too much of a performance gain with just sand paper..unless you spend hours and hours and hours using all different types of grits so you can take a good amount of material away and then working your way up to a smoother sand paper. But these are just my opinions, if you go ahead with it, just take your time and make sure you have a good eye so you can match what you have done to each cylinder.
  12. You will really enjoy it, no worries there! Jamey is very good with his videos and mmm I can't wait to buy one. Frick my friends even want to see it and they don't even know what it's really about, they just know it has to do with riding, haha. All you guys talking about going out next year makes me cry, lol. I wish I could make it out there, I LOVE hillclimbing...if only I didn't work and could tour out there
  13. lol No problem, just PM when your ready
  14. Thanks Greg, And yes Greg sent me the nerfs friday, when I am unable to get his MO until Monday. I do not screw people out of their money, I am not that kind of person! And I have a reputation going on the HQ for making sigs for people  , can't have people mad at me
  15. Yea mine has held up for more than a year...well i had it black for a year, then now silver..which will probably last me awhile as well. And same, I'm already thinking of stripping mine down again this winter and painting it all over again, frame, engine and all
  16. I used Krylon, cheaper route than what theshee and his brother do. I did not use any primer, i just sanded my plastics down until they were fairly smooth, cleaned them and dried them off. Then started putting thin coats on at a time so it wouldn't run. I forget how many coats I have on the plastics, but it's quite a few, just cause I wanted to have that added protection I guess you could say. You wont get the looks like theshee and his brothers raptor, they have awesome painting skills and go through all the necessary procedures and well they down right look amazing. I just used Krylon because I was going with one colour and wanted something cheap and quick, lol.
  17. Times you have purchased or sold items from/to me, Let me know how I was.
  18. Easy to talk to, quick with his responses back to you about the parts. And is generally easy to "work" with while buying parts from him. Recommend Greg to anyone that is looking for certain parts if he has them. Dinner
  19. Just recently purchased a set of nerf bars from Greg. First day I PM'd him and asked about them he got back to me within the next 2 minutes. Even packaged the nerf bars up for me, took them to the post office and got how much it would be for shipping, so that he could come back on here and tell me how much it would be...and he did this all within like 3 hours, I was very impressed and happy at the same time. But yes, easy guy to talk to and work with  Dinner
  20. have you posted this in the looking for section? You'll probably get more responds there, good luck
  21. lol No Cubs...just staying stock cylinders but with a good dune/play port job.
  22. Hey Guys, again  Just wondering if you fellas have some phone numbers for some builders? Like i could easily find out Jeff's, but for those around the Michigan area, or wherever really...what are their numbers? I'm thinking of calling around next week and seeing what I can find. Thanks for the info so far
  23. Welcome to the HQ, hope you enjoy your stay and have a new bank account set aside
  24. Hmm that seems fairly low, however are you running the stock box, filter and snorkle?
