  1. did you clean your carbs with the rebuild, could be many things. look for a air leak. what are your air screws at.
  2. get the 535 if you like to...race,sit and cool down, race, sit and cool down, race, sit and cool down, race, go home and rebuild. the 535 isn't a engine that is going to last all season.my opinion.pick a builder, tell him how you ride and what you want. let him port it and tell you which bolt on he recemends. if he does't know what works best with his work, find someone who does. good luck
  3. I don't have any where near 80-90 hp, and run 20-10-8 10 paddle extremes and hook ok, with your hp you might try to find a set of 21-12-8 10 paddle extremes, skat-trac said they stopped making them but i've seen them at a few stores.
  4. you'll use the impact much more than the plastic spark plug looking thing. if you don't want to buy any thing, put rope in to the spark plug hole, it will do the same thing... good luck
  5. sorry to here that, try a 15 t front, and shift before it lays down.
  6. me too, the comp or bad reeds.
  7. did you adjust the clutch rod in the center of your pressure plate???
  8. What he said.
  9. definitlyneed a new set of plugs to see how it's going to run with your new jets. banshees don't like cleaned plugs only new ones. good luck
  10. don't know if this is true, i've been told that av-gas has oxygen in it. I never looked in to it. I know it's alot cheaper
  11. I run the t-6's and love them, but there not for a ported motor. toomey will tell you that. The t-5s work great on a ported motor.
  12. yes you need to clean your carbs, also check your reeds as the last owner told you.
  13. before I rebuilt my topend my left cylinder compression was lower than the right and my left cylinder was actin the same. I ran a hotter plug in the left side untill I had the cylinders done. br7es in the left and br8es in the right. worked for me,this was a banded not a fix...
  14. they don't have the topend of after market twins. pull like a freight train on the bottom and mid, rev out like a stock pipe with maybe a little more. nice looking pipe
  15. was the last time you rode it warm out, now its cold and needs to be rejetted, and everything needs to be dry. lower the clip on your needle see if that helps and clean your carb also.
  16. I agree completly, you just went through the engine, if your at 160 psi and advanced run race fuel.
  17. I run the extremes, 20-10-8, 10 paddle they work great for me. I don't have nearly the HP you do. For your HP I would get at least a 22-10 with a 10 paddle. call skat-trac and see what they suggest.
  18. the trinity 2-1 works great and is easier to tune, and you won't have the carb troubles banshees are known for. respect your parents and good luck
  19. ricky stator timing plate $35,well worth it. +3-5 degrees, good bottom end mod welcome
  20. don't need them, hope your up and running soon. good luck
  21. very easy if your swingarm bolt is free
  22. Just read all your replys again...I think that when your motor is cold before your pistons have expanded and rings seal good that with a full drag race port you aren't making enough vacuum to pull the fuel. after it's warmed up, and everything is tight it starts easier for you. something to think about... a friend of mine has a cr500 that's hard to start all the time, he put a little primer bulb on it and its starts all the time now. hope you get this fixed
  23. just make sure your engine builder has all the info you gave us and he should make it right. good luck
  24. I love my T-6 pipes, I have only bolt on mods and they work great. I like them better then my fmf's, I never ran T-5s to compare.you'll need the air box and adaptor from trinity, simple swap. If you run no top outerwear makes a lid cover to keep the crap out. I do know that what ever pipe you chose just make sure your tune is near perfect, mine runs away from bikes that should beat me...
  25. what he said, no gas no fire.
