  1. I agree about the clutch, but also think your running alittle lean. you shouldn't be backfiring through the powerband. also at 100 over you might be running hot.
  2. MAKE SURE YOU INSTALLED YOUR DEGREE KEY THE PROPER WAY, AND YOUR ADVANCING YOUR TIMING AND NOT RETARDING IT.
  3. you will see big gains with the trinity cv intake with the 33 or 35, both will work great on a stock port motor. If you like the head ache of the dual carbs, try 28 or 30mm.
  4. you what to get a good air filter also, the stock setup does not seal good and lets dirt into your motor. With pro circuit pipes, air filter, timing, and reeds, your mains will be in the 280- 320 range. try the stock pilot first, you might need to go up to a 27.5 .030 is about max and still run premium gas. ricky stator timing plate is $35 well worth it.
  5. are you fouling your plugs while cruising around but it runs good at wot. 290 mains are in the ballpark for your mods, maybe a little lean for winter riding. what pilots are you using and try setting your clip in the second position from top. stock pilots are 25 I believe.
  6. You want to run the lightest tire possible on a blaster, they don't have alot of hp. T he heavier tires will suck up some hp. Skat-trak edges or gliders are light and will work great on a blaster. a bit pricey though.
  7. don't know about a banshee, but they work great on a 250r.
  8. I think that's for a box of 10... I hope
  9. the rings are the same top, bottom, up, down, doesn't matter.
  10. that is actually the proper way to install the engine, nothing can fall into a assembled motor.
  11. gear up and race longer, tells abuot your next race...
  12. Clinton township, a little north of detroit. hope you catch the shit heads
  13. I have all bolt on mods, pipes, reeds, milled head, +4 timing, cv intake with a 38mm. I had a 35 on it and a 38 for my 250r, so i tried it and kept the 38 on the banshee. It's a little softer on the bottom but pulls better on top. I'm happy with it.
  14. banshees are nose heavy, might what to try the back flip on a honda 250r's are more balanced and 450r's are light in front...goodluck
  15. timing and compression are both going to give you more power.
  16. when you have stock carbs on a banshee your going to have troubles, buy a manual and jump in with both feet. nothing can put a bigger smile on your face and piss you off at the same time like a banshee...unless your married.
  17. DO A COMPRESSION CHECK...low compression will make a motor hard to start. sounds like your going to need a topend.
  18. I would first check for spark. If there's no spark on one cylinder, try disconnecting the thors system, throttle switch, and parking brake switch if equipped. If all that stuff is already removed, your stator my be weak. did you try switching spark plug wires from side to side to see if the other side fires. welcome
  19. read your plugs first, if they look good your overheating problem my be your water pump impeller.if the plugs are white or light tan try some 300 if your at a 270 now. the stumble is probably your pilot jet is to small step that up 1 size.
  20. what he said
  21. clean the carbs with carb cleaner and blow out the passages with air, also put in new gas and a new set of plugs. goodluck and welcome
  22. when it stops running check for fuel flow and then spark.
  23. i would start with a compression test and go from there
  24. sounds like your carbs need to be cleaned...take your carbs apart and remove thejets and clean with carb cleaner, and blow out all the passages with compressed air welcome
