  1. That was it, I cut some coolant hose for it. Thanks man. I have no idea where that damn tube went.
  2. Hey guys, I have a 03 Banshee that is stock besides removed airbox w/K&N pods, FMF Gnarlies and some reed spacers. The main jets in there were 240s and the pilots were 25s. It ran okay but while I was looking through the jetting sticky I saw a lot of people running higher jets with these mods so I bought some 280 mains and 27.5 pilots, installed them, and now the bike won't even start. I'm not sure what's going on. I put the carbs back together correctly and they are synced. If I remember correctly there was a choke tube that went in between the carbs - I lost this...not sure if that's my problem. The plugs are wet after kicking it for a while. Not sure what to do. I figured the 280s would improve my performance. My elevation is sea level, my air screws are 2.5 turns out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Thanks for the replies guys. I'll grab an OHV sticker up there.
  4. I wasn't sure where to put this. Figured this place would be appropriate. Me and my family are going up to Oregon the 25th and will be there through the 4th of July. I think it's Dunefest there that week or something. Anyone going to Coos Bay around then? Here is my question: I live in California. My banshee was a graduation present I got 4 years ago. I lived in Georgia when I got it and I don't have a title or any registration for it. (I've been riding illegally, I'm a jackass I know) I tried to get an appointment with my local DMV to get it registered and everything but the earliest appointment is the 7th of July, after my trip. So my quad is unregistered with no title and no stickers. Is there anything I can do or am I screwed? Is there a pass I can get in Oregon? Should I try to register it in Oregon when I get up there? I really appreciate any help you guys can give me on this.
  5. That bike looks clean but if theres anything with a little rust on it then this stuff will take it off and make it shiny again: http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1876643&CAWELAID=344292292
  6. Hey all. I have been away for a while but thats besides the point. I finally got my shee put back together and it won't start unless I'm being towed along with the choke all the way out. Once it starts up I can rev it in neutral but as soon as I try to get anywhere it bogs down real bad and shuts off. It also smoked like a chimney. So I'm guessing I'm running rich. It has the stock jets in it now and I switched to K&Ns with outerwears and no airbox. I also removed the TORS and now have those little adjustment screws. SO I was wondering where I should start with jets and what screws need to be turned to where on the carbs. I live in the north bay at about 125ft. I might be going to Glamis the end of february as well. Will I need to change the jetting if I go? Thanks. P.S. You should've seen the smile on my face when it started and revved up. Priceless. haha.
  7. thanks. I'm using a 12 dollar compression tester. Now im getting about 95 on the left and 115 on the right. I made sure I did all the piston stuff correct, and I used all new gaskets. I might try torquing everything down again to be sure. The left plug is wet and smells like gas but the right is clean and doesnt really smell too. Both carbs are opening and everything but I the jetting is stock. I'm not sure about the piston clearance though. They are timed right if thats what that is. I'm thinking of taking it into the shop just to get it running. But will a shop work on it even if I removed the TORS? I clipped the wires for that and got rid of the box. Thanks.
  8. Does anyone know what could be causing the compression problem? I'm leaving in two days and if its not running right I can't take it. I'd really appreciate some help.
  9. I put new pistons in it thats why I was expecting more. I kicked and kicked until it stopped. It was only at 100. I just noticed this too. This would be a problem with the tie rods correct? How do I fix this?
  10. Hello guys. Ive been gone for a while. Ive been really busy with my music. I'm moving to California Saturday and I'm auditioning to go around the U.S. on tour! So thats cool. Anyways. I'm putting the shee back together before I go. I've got it back together besides the plastics but the compression in each cylinder is only 100. I thought it would be around 150 or so. It doesnt sound like its losing air anywhere though. I also removed my T.O.R.S and I lost the instructions. I removed the box but I thought I had to clip a wire as well. Wasn't it a yellow one or something? I also removed my airbox and I'm since I'm moving I don't know what jets I should be using. I'll probably riding Pismo and Cow Mountain mostly. Around those places. So if anyone could help me out that would be great so I can get riding when I get back to Cali. I was also wondering if it was okay to mix oil viscosity? I put 1 liter of 80w in but I didn't get another liter so I need another half or so. Can I just use any other oil? Thanks.
  11. I didnt care for it much. It was alright.
  12. ive never been too bluetraxx. ever. and it will stay that way. im happy i found the bhq first.
  13. I see what youre saying now. I definately don't think Bubba is going to beat RC while he's racing but I think that once Bubba gets more experience out on the tracks then he will be a better racer than RC. IF he could just control himself he would be better than RC I think. So I think that if RC tries to make a come back later on, which is somewhat unlikely after retirement, Bubba will have the experience and control to dominate him.
  14. Yeah thats whats funny. You can have a bunch of volts but if theres no amps behind it its not going to do much. So he was just getting a little burnt. I think a lot of the stuff he does has to be edited and then people probably get paid off for being part of it, because theres no way that shit can happen. NO WAY. Think about it though. If someone came up to you and said they'd give you 500 bucks to keep your mouth shut about a fake magic trick would you do it? I would.
  15. Honestly I think that James Stewart will get it together. I think right now he is just young and he is having a hard time with trying to push himself too far. I think as he progresses he will become more aware of his strengths and weaknesses and begin to emphasize his strengths. I think that he will eventually be the GOAT. Ricky Carmichael is an amazing rider but he is also older than James Stewart and has more race time under his belt so thats always an advantage. I also think that while Davi Millsaps and Ivan Tedesco are great riders but I don't think they will catch Bubba.
