  1. on the needle it self by the grooves.
  2. most of the people saying the t-6s suck haven't rode with them. they preformed better than t-5s before my motor was ported, and I just treid them again this past weekend, still running the t-6s. from bottom to top my banshee pulls harder with the t-6s. I had the same mph topend with both pipes, the t-6s got there first. good choice on the pipes they look and perform better.
  3. main sounds lean to me also, that my also be why your power is down and lean in the middle. if the main is too small the needle will also be lean no matter where you put the clip. how do you have your air screws set,you might be able to clean the idle up with them.
  4. I think your carbs my be too big for your application, you might see better gains from a set of 30's
  5. they have a very unique rip to them. you still know it's a banshee.I think they sound pretty good, but still prefer the sound of toomeys.florida has some tight trails and alot of fast trails. I would try it first before buying new pipes.
  6. your air screws are not for idle adjustment. you should have idle screws also. are you running a stock air filter with lid? try a new set of plugs also. your jetting doesn't sound that bad for the elevation and filter system. It could be poping on top because of fouled plugs.
  7. you'll have to modify the mid pipe to fit and then change it back when you get the pipes. seems like of a waste of time .
  8. I run the noss head also. engine runs alot cooler and it looks good too. great customer service.
  9. you can check your squish first if you have a set of micrometers and some solder. with your head removed and almost at TDC, place a piece of solder on your piston next to the wall in the middle so you get a good reading without the piston rocking. put the head back on and slowly roll the engine past TDC. remove the head and measure the solder thickness.good luck.
  10. I had mine before and after being ported and love it. there was no power loss. the power was incredible, pulls real hard untill the pipes quit. I also run a 38
  11. you should be able to take care of that with the needle, you can adjust them with out removing the carbs. If your loading up at idle, try leaning out the air screw. also make sore your plugs are good and your air filter is clean.
  12. I run WOT in 6th all the time for longer than 5 sec when i'm on the road or fast trails.
  13. one 38 should be fine, unless your looking for every last pony.my 38 came off a cr500, they made around 70 hp stock.so I figure they can also feed a 70 hp banshee. they have a completely different power curve though, so that my also play a role in how much carb you need. but the ease of tuning, throttle response, and looks are well worth it. I also ran a larger fuel line and I am getting a larger fuel valve.
  14. mine had the 35 and a 38 fit no problem.
  15. your stock carbs will be fine, I'd start at 360-370 on the main it's still cold out. who did your porting?
  16. have you rode a ported banshee with t-6 pipes? gorr ported mine and the power increase across the whole rpm range is incredible. plus the pipe comes on sooner and pulls longer.
  17. 6th gear WOT,exhaust side seized...that's a lean condition. but you also need bigger carbs to get that engine to run right. I think the biggest main is a 400, so you still have room there, but I think you would benefit more from a bigger set of carbs. I also agree that you need 50-50 race fuel I also agree on the squish band, I believe if your under .040 you'll have problems with proper combustion. now your looking at a set of pistons, sleeves and labor. could probably get some cubs for a few dollars more. good luck
  18. I'd rasie the clip that should lean out the middle a little, see how you like that.
  19. pipes filter and jets will get the fever going. also get the proflow filter adaptor.fattys are pretty smooth power easy to ride, I also read the same about pt mids, there pricey and ugly but have a good finish. finish is poor to fair on the fattys. I love my t-6s. Personnally I would pick the t-6 or t-5. good all around pipe that sounds and looks great. scat-trac edge hook good for a v paddle, I personally like the striaght paddle extreme. both worked great at silver lake.
  20. if yout using for jerk off then your calling tithead a jerk off when you say jerk off they get in the way he was just asking a question, your the only here.
  21. I agree a new set of plugs before you rejet. if you still have the same problem, try the lid like you sugested. 330's sound rich to me but every bike is different. what pilot are you running? maybe try your stock needls also. if you ride alot 1/4-3/4 throttle and your fat in the middle and foul your plugs your going to pop up top.
  22. changing the reeds shouldn't effect the pilot to where it won't start. what are the symptoms, no spark, no fuel, no compression. are you sure everything is tight, did you turn the fuel back on?
  23. what the hell is a CARBY??? if the cap came of the carb, i'm going to guess the slide and needle were out also. that would cause that side to flood and foul the plug. also suck in what ever you were riding in. check your plugs.
  24. are you running a plate or key? if a key is it possible you're retarded 3 degrees, I love my t-6s before and after porting. never had the problem your talking about.
